  • Forgive me for being presumptuous, but I always learned repulse monkey with right legs moving back as right arm came in (or left back and left in.) This is showing right arm out and right leg back. It's a nice way to trip somebody, but it's not repulse monkey.

  • It would be nic eto see the opponents actually yield to the force rather than simply succumb. Try sepping back as the throw or press is applied, try dropping the elbow as the grasping or pressinghand is applied, try stepping around instead of stepping back....yield to the direction of the press, don't just fall over!

  • like the title says, this clip is about training a particular technique from a few different setups. I think I'd bothered my fellow club members enough with all my videoing last year, but if I ever put together any more I'll be sure to include some freestyle footage and post a video response here.
