  • @94McMike Torres is like Bruce Li (or Lee for english). He was like 36-1 at one time when he fought in the WEC. If you don't know who he is just look up some highlights. He's a nightmare, and just imagine he's doing this to other pro fighters not just average joes off the street.

  • Torres is a beast. He's still one of the top guys. I'd like to see him hold the title again soon.

  • DIDN'T Brian Bowles beat him? (Torres)|

I could have sworn I saw them fight on Versus (in fact, I recorded it)

    correct me if I'm wrong

    Thanks

  • @Getrealpeeps Brian Bowles Knocked Him Out, Then Lost The Title In His First Defense Via TKO (Broken Hand) To Dominick Cruz.

  • @KiLl3rWoRm69

Oh that's right Thanks I recently saw it on Versus

  • miguel came a looooonnngggg way! I went to high school with him

  • @spcdscott Bullshit...

  • Everyone loses. That is the art of fighting.

  • he looks like a kid

  • everyone from tristar and everyone on my facebook please go to @Miguel Angel Torres the page and click the like button show some support, and tune in to WEC next Thursday on Versus for a bantamweight throwdown!!!!!!

  • every great champion has lost at least once, it doesnt make you worse. like fedor said it makes you better

  • HOLA TORRES...

    GOD BLESS....

    SANDRA

  • Rocky Marciano was the ONLY professional fighter to end his professional career with no losses. He lost a few times as an amateur if im not mistakin. But Torres is a beast bar none and no matter how many times he loses he his still a great fuckin fighter.

  • @Scootmann13 Rocky Marciano is not the ONLY professional fighter to end his professional career with no losses. Joe Calzaghe, Edwin Valero (R.I.P), Sven Ottke all was undefeated. Rocky Marciano is the only guy to retire undefeated at heavyweight.

  • fake^^

  • scott smith is the toughest

  • I really like him, but benavidas wrecked him. Actually that fight is actually a good example of why elbows shouldn't be allowed on the ground. (as much as I love them)

  • They forgot Nick Diaz,Uriah Faber,Cung Le,Brian Bowles,Jake Shields and Kimbo Slice...J.K about Kimbo but the rest are worth bringing into the conversation.

  • Anderson Silva Is The MOST SKILLED

  • @mrscox27 allistair overeem

  • Machida hasn't proven himself to be the toughest...what a tool.

    Fedor is toughest, period.

  • neither has fedor he hasnt fought in the ufc against REAL guys

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAH

This is what's wrong with America Marketing makes things look "real".

  • How about Fedor for toughness. The guy always bounces back. I put gsp up there. We are talking about tough and not dominance right? How come forrest griffin was never mentioned? I put rua on that list also Velasquez came back from ebing stunned 2 fights ago. Lets also say bj penn and Rampage. You have to beat the holy hell out of rampage to ko him like wanderlei silve did with like 30 knees to the face.

  • Has everyone forgot about Penn, you talk about pound for pound and the only guy on your list that fights in multiple weight classes is Anderson.

Penn has fought light, welter, and even took on Machida at an open weight bout ( Lyoto weighing in at about 220 )

I can't put these in order from best to worst but here are the best in my opinion............

Lyoto Machida, Anderson Silva, B.J. Penn, GSP (unfortunatley), Frank Mir, and look out for Jon Jones!

  • Toughest fighters?

I usually put Chris Lytle on the top of my list. That guy is a f'in beast. Not the best WW going, but as tough as they come.

If we're not talking p4p, Rampage is very tough. He can take an extreme beating. And for the past 5 years, he has given everyone who has faced him one hell of a fight.

For me, toughness.....A. Silva, Lytle, Fitch, Fedor, and Herring.

  • bowloes always wanted to fight on the ground because he knew if he traded punches with torres he would get knocked out

  • I am the best bantamweight fighter. Modesty to honesty is where I came from and who I became to be!

  • You know i woulda had the same list up to Machida, excluding Rampage and Rashad, but since Machida's last fight im not entirely sure. Either both Machida and Shogun are pound for pound or possibly the one who wins their rematch. But right now you can't deny, St.Pierre, Anderson and Fedor.

And if Miguel can comeback and win his rematch against Bowles, then he RE - solidifies his position in the pound for pound, although he probably still is.

  • miguel is awesome too

  • GSP, anderson and fedor yes, but rashed and rampage wtf ? did dana white paid him to say that ? come on.

  • Say what you will, Rampage and Rashad are tough fighters.

  • machida is fucking good too

  • Brian Dryfoot?

  • Fuck dat was suppose to be my viD :p

  • torres is a fucking beast, i dont care if he lost to bowles, he got ko'd just like any other great fighter would, everyone looses a fight and gets KO'd at least once, i can tell all these torres haters dont know shit about mma that the next thing they do is turn on or or start hating just because he lost, get a grip people sooner or later or few years from now bowles will also loose a fight and you're gonna say the same shit about him?

  • yea. but surely torres will rebound. bwles isnt as technical. his reign wont last trust me. I respect him buut im being honest,

  • i agree, he kinda took miquel out of his game, toress is a true champion unliek brain bowles, lil bizznatch

  • @raiderfan89ify Amen

  • @raiderfan89ify Not Rocky :P

  • yea that comes with age

    sucks

  • put him to sleep, face pounding how long it take him to wake up?

  • Goodnight miguel torres!

  • Usually people who practice martial arts for a long time don't have big muscles like people in jail for example. But when he hits some huge guy he will not know where did it came from...and don't forget that no matter how big muscles you have....if you don't have the routine your head for example is unprotected....

  • i disagree

look at brock lesnar, randy couture, rampage, silvia, arlovski, fedor, bob sapp...all pretty big dudes with big muscles. don't confuse mma guys for tai chi practitioners...

  • wat about bobby lasheley

  • BOBBY WHO? what's his history in martial arts? fake ponchas wwe??? just now he's taking his chance in a real ring and he's just nothing yet.. just a baby.

  • Maybe....they want to have big muscles because it frightens the opponent...but if you look at Wushu fighters(most of the competitions are conform K-1 rules... ) A very good example: Gombos Attila watch?v=M-9DDfkxI2w&NR=1&feature=fvwp

  • bigger muscle = more strenght. just because someone has big muscles doesn't mean they're slow. want an example: fedor emalianenko. wu shu fighters have nothing on today's mma guys

  • those guys are big because of their weight class...

  • he got knocked out so wat...any fighter knows if u wanan be the bes tu can be u have to take sum losses sumtimes..not a big deall bowels is a great striker and migueal is a great fighter to..he got beat..so wat? its s fight ..no suprise

  • first, if any of you guys have ever been in a real tough fist fight, you guys wouldn't be talking all that smack, cause you would know what time it is. It's obvious most of you guys are talking out of your ass. Torres got beat fair and square. He got caught by a hard shot. Watch the rematch before you run your mouths.

  • than

  • wow your stupid. it's a sport you dumbass. they're talking about sports, not prisoned people who have nothing better to do except steal shit and do whatever the fuck they want to do.

  • To ALL the computor nerd tough-guys who talk trash over their daddies computors.... GET A LIFE YOU WEAK BITCHES! Not a single one of you Ass-Clown CHILDREN would say boo to TORRES if he was within 300,000 hundred thousand feet of you !!!!!!! DUMBDUMB PUSSYFARTS!

  • @GSPP4PCHAMP hahahaha you know whats fun to laugh at? dudes calling other dudes pussies over the internet. but you iced the cake by calling out pussies who talk shit by talking shit.

  • @GSPP4PCHAMP You do understand that when you write out a number IE (45) you do not have to spell it afterwards... ? Understand?

  • @GSPP4PCHAMP Epic fail post.

  • @GSPP4PCHAMP Well, then Mr. Torres had just better come with his shoes tied, because when he looks down at them, I'm going to belt that skinny chump all the way back to Mexico!

  • @GSPP4PCHAMP lol faq

  • @GSPP4PCHAMP

*cough* id rock torres any day *cough*

for real tho, hes a fucking pussy dude bowles gives him one good hit and he was done. SIT DOWN BOY

  • Just because Torres had an off night you dumbasses take thataway from him and turn on him.

So what? He got cocky and let his gaurd down. It happens to the best of them.

Im not saying Bowles sucks but Im pretty sure torres is coming back on a winning streak agian

  • and this turd! had the nerve to bad mouth mayweather! lol got knocked out by a guy with eight fights! never hAPPENS TO GTRATS LIKE MAYWEATHER

  • stop saying bowles got lucky because if you make 1 mistake and get knocked out you really cant say it was luck because.

  • Brian Bowles knocked him fuck out!

  • He named LYOTO MACHIDA!! thats all he needed to say!

why hate on Miguel? he is a beast! he took out plenty of people and 1 guy got lucky with a punch and you think miguel's no good?

  • im reading so many hate comments on torres all of a sudden,,until u fuckin haters out there accomplished half the shit torres has done u cant fuckin say shit,i swear most of u dont even watch mma alot of u just watch one fight and then giggle like bitches and say "hehe i know a funny thing to type maybe ill get a thumbs up or a lol" u guys dont know shit,,and bowls won fair and square nothing to do with him,but u fuckers are annoying as shit

  • That told us precisely nothing. Thanks for the insight mullet man.

  • not very tough anymore. he just got destroyed by the wicked right hand of bowles

  • i train at tht gym hes being interviewed at 4 brazzillian jui jitsu its in hammond indiana

  • Torres you need to put yourself on that list, don't be modest :)

  • haha what a pussy.

  • gsp,anderson silva,fedor,lyoto,bj penn

  • shit.

  • i saw him last night he opened the back door of the K of C for us since it was packed cool guy

  • Torres, top pound for pound fighter!! If you disagree then you dont know too much about MMA

  • Top 5 for sure but, he hasn't fought the level of competition as guys like Fedor and GSP yet but, he will probably make a case for 1 soon but, all these guys are so great it's kinda just better to group the great fighters together I mean it's dumb to take P4P too seriously like who would win in a fight between fedor and torres I mean would you just shrink Fedor or make Torres gain a huge amount of weight it's a bit ridiculous.

  • bullshit fedor is the top pund for pound. He has beat guys twice his size. could Torres beat someone twice his size in mma NOPE.

  • actually yea.. look for his interview on vimeo... he talks how he trains/fights people like 100lbs heavier than him

  • he could probably beat tim sylvia

  • lol. Anybody could beat Tim Sylvia, even I could beat him

  • If torres fought someone twice his size they would not be in his weight class. So technically that would be impossible. Nice rationalization, lol

  • nope not all he would get demolished at 155 =] and 170

  • he is not anywhere near the top of MMA

  • the toughest (taking a hit) would be guida, tank abbot, chris leban, and i forget his name but its something cabbage.

  • cabbage correira...big ass head on that guy,

  • Comment removed

  • Fedor-Silva-GSP-Machida-Torres

  • Yes, of course

  • and if you talk about pancrase, good ol' Bas Rutten is the man

  • hit the nail on the head:D

  • Notice how he did'nt mention Brock Lesnar?

  • lol maybe because he doesnt have close to as much wins and losses as the fighters he mentioned.

  • He looks like somekind Daniel Larusso´s with balls.

  • yeah i completely forgot about him, looking back at some of his fights he can take a ot of pain and still come out and win.hes probably one of my favourite fighters.

  • cain velasquez, frank mir, and brock lesnar are the best

  • If Cain beats Carwin Lesnar's going to tear him apart.

  • brock lesner is tough, he probably has one of the best chins in mma, same with thiago alves. but, clay guida is the toughest fighter in my opinion. the guy knows how to take a punch, get knocked down, and still make it a fight.

  • zuluzhino is the best p4p fighter in the world by far!!

  • what about clay guida... guys a beast

  • Clay is a beast, but i consider fedor to be the best

  • nah i rekn

    1 fedor

    2 ur al gay lmao

  • Fedor!!!!!!!!! Is the toughest guy!

  • pound for pound means that u'll fight whoever at whatever their weight... fedor's only 6 foot... probably one of the smallest heavyweights for his size but he's always going up against bigger guys... same with anderson silva fighting 205ers... machida said he wants to fight some heavyweights too---even said he'd take on lesnar...

  • no.. it means their skill and their strength for each pound is superior. For example if brock lesnar were to drop a hundred and thirty pounds and be at BJ Penn's weight, he'd get destroyed. Meaning BJ Penn pound for pound is far superior than Brock.

  • actually i doubt brock would win. First off he just sucks. and if you drop that much weight your not going to perform at your best. he'd lose so much strenght...Brock lesner droping 130 pounds to fight a natural 155 pounder...he'd lose so bad.

  • I'm not talking about realistically dropping that much weight because it's impossible. I'm talking about if Brock kept his skill, but his size was reduced to BJ's size, he would get beat badly. Because pound for pound, Brock is inferior to BJ.

  • See you know what your talking about, people are dissing Torres cause of his weight class.

Pound for pound has nothing to do with size. Its whos the best pound for pound, who has the best skills, which fighters are good at ever aspect of the game.

Thats why Torres is one of the best, along with alot of smaller guys. Urijah Faber, Mike Brown, Shinya Ayoki, Kid Yamamoto. They are all smaller guys but they are all some of the top pound for pound fighters.

  • not true. BJ Penn can drop 10 lbs and smoke Torres in a heartbeat. allong with some of the other top UFC fighters if they drop 10 lbs. Torres would get smoked

  • Thats the thing...you can't just drop a ton weight and expect to destroy people. BJ has massive cardio problems when he messes around in other weight classes. He goes up to 170 and hes not as good as he is at 155. He went up a ton of weight and faught Lyoto Machida in a tournament and he lost. Torres would beat Penn if Penn cut that much weight to fight him. Thats why Torres it higher up the list then penn.

  • i like tthis video i have some really FUNNY VIDEOS

  • Wait nevermind... you got:

St Pierre, Jon Fitch, Thiago Alves, Josh Koscheck, Diego Sanzhez.

    Nvm he'd get smoked

  • St Pierre dominates anyone in his weight class, lol. I freakin love him..can't wait for Alves fight!!

  • 135 lb = weak sauce. he can make to 99-1 and wouldnt get noticed. He needs to step up in weight.

  • dude its his weight class. You don't bump up a weight class to get attention. You fight at the weight class that you can perform the best in...and he is noticed. He's the best 135 pounder in the world and one of the top pound for pound fighters in the world.

  • hmm awesome interview, Miguel is a superb fighter.

  • Lol miguel Torres toughest guy in mma, he fights at 135, thats how much a woman weighs, it's like being the smartest retard. No one cares about torres, and no one should. They have enough trouble finding guys in general in his weight class let alone good fighter in that class, come on lets be serious.

  • we prob weighs 155 tho

  • the ufc freak ur a fan, torres would smash you and 5 of your tap out wearing buddies

  • haha, right.. he's good fighter but so are the girls in strikeforce, but no one would even think about calling them the greatest fighters. He's to small to be taken seriously, only people who should be scared of him is women and 14 year old boys, because their the only people he's bigger then.

  • And yet, he'd kick the shit out of you. Go back to spotting your tapout buddies on the bench and leave MMA to the real men.

  • Dude, he is one of the top pound for pound fighters in the world. Weight class dons't mean shit. You got Fedor, GSP, Anderson Silva, Faber, Machida, Penn, Ayoki, Okami, Brown, and Torres...all in different weight classes. There is a fighter from each weight class (except fly weight) represented in the pound for pound. Miguel is probably #4 p4p behind Silva, GSP and Fedor.

  • The fuck? Torres can't hold a candle to those fighters, have you even watched Torres fight before? He fights like an amateur. Like someone else said, BJ Penn could drop 10 lb's and destroy Torres in a heartbeat.

  • Yes, i have seen him fight, im a big Torres fan. Have you seen his fights? i dont' think you have. And once again the weight dropping thing. Bj penn goes up to welter weight and isnt' as good as he is at 155. He put on a ton of weight and faught against Lyoto Machida in a tournament and lost. and for BJ to make 135 its 20 pounds not 10...I don't think Penn would handle with weight change well. He's a great 155er but everwhere else hes not as good.

  • Yes i have seen Torres fight, hence why I said he looks amateur'ish. There are no impressive 135 lb'ers. BJ Penn did very well against Lyoto Machida compared to Lyoto's other opponents that he's beat.

Even if BJ Penn loses some cardio, Torres still isn't making it passed the first round against BJ. Seriously Torres only looks good because of his record. His fighting isn't impressive, his opponents aren't impressive.

  • What do you mean his fighting isn't impressive? He did some crazy shit against Tapia, or how about his fight with Yoshiro Maeda? He completley shut Maeda's right eye causing the doctors to stop the fight. His striking is great, his submissions are very smooth, his cardio is off the charts, and hes got that mindset you need to be a champ and one of the best.

  • and what do you mean his opponents aren't impressive? he's faught Yoshiro Maeda who was a great fighter and put up a very good fight against the champ. Takeya Mizugaki was also a good fighter, who pushed Torres through 5 rounds and brought out the best in the champ.

His next fight against Brian Bowles is another great fighters. Bowles isn't a pushover hes got some serious skills and will be Torre's toughest test to date.

opponents aren't impressive...wtf you talking about!?!?!?

  • Dude you're just naming names of a bunch of nobodies basically. I've watched these fights and they're no more impressive than a bunch of low level IFC fights. His opponents aren't impressive, he's not impressive, that's what i'm talking about. You can't compare Torres' skills to that of GSP, BJ Penn, Fedor, Machida, etc. Torres is simply far inferior and is basically an amateur against these guys.

  • Pound for Pound 1. Fedor Emelianenko 2. Georges St Pierre 3. Anderson Silva 4. Miguel Angel Torres 5. Urijah Faber 6. Lyoto Machida 7. Bj Penn 8. Mike Brown 9 Shinya Aoki 10. Yushin Okami
  • Nah.

    #1 Fedor Emelianenko

    #2 Georges St. Pierre

    #3 Anderson Silva

    #4 Lyoto Machida

    #5 BJ Penn

Seriously, those bantamweights, featherweights, etc aren't impressive at all for being how small they are. Their strength is horrid, their speed is slower than the top lightweight fighters, their skill isn't much, their accomplishments(wrestling nationals, jiujutsu world tournaments)none of them accomplished much compared to the lightweights and above. All around they are a weak division.

  • if you look up pound for pound rankings...on almost all of them you will find Torres. maybe not Faber and Brown. But you will find Torres on them

Your basing this on size! Size has nothing to do with the pound for pound rankings or how skilled you are. Torres, Faber, and Brown are three of the best in the world and deserve to be on the list.

  • No i'm not basing this on size at all. I'm basing this on skill, strength, and speed. In terms of skill, Torres doesn't hold a candle up to these guys, has he ever became a world jiu jutsu champion? Has he ever dominated national wrestling champions? He's never shown that he can muscle anyone around. His speed is slower than the top ranked lightweights, and he's even lighter than them.

Skill, speed, strength does have to do with P4P, if you're small but are as strong as a heavyweight.

  • Well lets talk dominance, torres hasnt lost a fight in 5 years, Been Called a phenom and trained under carlos gracie, u cant get more jujitsu experience then that , MMA experts have listed him as one of the best P4P, because they are not biased and know the sport, Take the Gracie Family's word, the man is legit, u cant aruge his record, he has beat everyone opponent he has faced, he has the title

  • Like I said. It doesn't mean much when he's fighting a low competition weight class. He can't be compared to people like Fedor who has been fighting top notch competition and hasn't lost for almost 10 years. I'm not saying Torres is a bad fighter, i'm just saying he hasn't proved himself to be comparable to people like GSP, BJPenn, Machida, Anderson Silva, Fedor, unless he beats someone that's actually somebody.

  • torres has faught the top bantam weight fighters. i admit wec sucks for the most part. but wec has the best 135 and 145 fighters. ask gsp, bjpen, machida, silva, and fedor who the best p4p fighter is and if they arent baised they will say torres.

  • id put silva 2, but thats my opinion. nice list!

  • I could see it going that way.

but did you watch UFC 100 tonight? GSP destroyed Thiago Alves. That pretty much cements his possition above Silva in my opinion. and once he cleans out his division, and Fedor stops fighting he will probably move up to #1

  • umm... torres looked pretty even with maeda, but maeda has since been finished twice.

  • lol a vampire

  • holy shit a vampire 0:32

  • Its his mouth guard.

  • interesting most of the fighters he named are LH

  • myb u guys r twins ??

  • its bob u idiot

  • OMFG! you're Louster34!!!

Hi I'm Louster35 nice to meet you :)

  • cool....did u try and be Louster34? is ur name louis>?

  • No I've always been Louster35 and yes my name is Louis :)

that was just like the most random thing ever finding you though...

    TEAM LOUIS FTW!!!

  • GSP!

  • no he wont cause im going to spam and thumbs down and encourage everyone else to do the same.

  • Frank Shamrock? He is still one of the best top 10 fighters in the world., but Lee has no chance of beating the Spider who has tons of tools

  • Frank Shamrock is not one of the top 10 haha no way his days are over

  • Cung Le is better then Silva IMO

  • Haha

  • Wow. Really? Cung Le would be destroyed. Who has he beat under mma rules? Frank Shamrock? Amazing resume.

  • just because he doesnt have much mma experience he has amazing cardio and his stand up is probably the best in the sport..

  • LOL..."he has amazing cardio...." hahaha Then he can breathe easily when he gets knocked the "F" out..... You are far from knowledgeable.....Even Cun Lee has chosen to pursue acting as an alternative to MMA. HE knows his limitations....why can YOU see them? Very good stand up but no ground game at all......the days of those types of fighter being successful died with Chuck Liddell

  • you mean Wanderlei Silva
