    cool

  • the improvising is really really good, hendrix was an influence to all us guitarists, and it really touched alot, man. I mean i play guitar because of him, and boy, i tell ya', guitar playin really opened my spirit and made me live.

  • Like a mix of Hendrix and the Jefferson Airplane

wild leads he plays, fast fingers

  • Yeah the chick does sound like Grace Slick if you listen close enough. The guitar is out of this world man AWESOME!

  • Neat tune, really cool

  • I had to return here to this vid. I downloaded it some time back, and have been playing this song, a couple times a day I have been hearing it.

This song GROWS on you dude. Really a great tune. Bummer that the vocals aren't very clear, but even still, Cool!

You guys should of made it big with this-for real.

Hope you find him and he is still playing guitar - that would be so cool if you could put it back together. It would be great to hear.

    Good luck to you

  • Yeah nice tune!

Just incredible, astonishing music here, with your other post also. Dang neat stuff dude!

Extraordinarily good and talented guitar player!

  • What info have you on him?

  • The info I have is the last address:

    4703 Pecan Springs Road Austin,Texas ...

That is all...this is the house the band lived in. It is a duplex next to a small creek that used to flood. When I GoogleEarth it, the place still looks the same. So I guess the old house is still there?

Thats all the info I have on him!

  • Are you the real Apple Records?

  • I am what you think I am...Iam!

  • Dang fine guitar playing there!

Hope this guy is still playing, the music world could sure use him right now...sick of today crap!

  • Awesome song man

  • Dang dude awesome band

  • I'd love to hear this with a modern sound system behind you with tons of low-end. Bring out the vocals and boost those awesome leads. That would be killer!

With just a sub-woofer on my speakers it sounds pretty damn cool dude. This was really a hell of band it should have stayed together.

  • Damn Cool

Not enough adjectives to discribe this guys playing. But "Holy-Crap" comes to mind!

  • Killer!!!5/5*****

  • Now thats just plan cool. Wow neat sound, hope you find this guy and he is still playing. He is something else for sure. That took some work to play like that.

Cool that he has an online following and he doesn't even know it...like to hear the story behind the band.

    Best of luck finding him!

  • Wow now that is one hell of guitar player.

    damn!!!

  • Good song!

Wow! An unknown band with a 21st Century following. Thats cool as hell!

Awesome dude...sorry it broke up. Hope you find him good luck.

  • Cool online Groopies thats neat

Excellent sound this band had, best of luck finding him.

  • WOW THIS IS KILLER MAN!!!!!

  • You know this amazes me. What the INTERNET has done to the music world. Bands that you would have never heard of in your life, now you can. All that music by unknown bands out there now have a chance to be heard (if they had it recorded) I just find that cool as hell!

Good band here, bummer you never made it big!

Luck to you in your search for him.

  • Wow! really an awesome sound!

Love the lead break at 2:54

One heck of an axe player! He is amazing!

  • Oldtime: Hey man remember me?

    Cleveland 1970

    You old roadie you!

  • Hells bells!

The people you meet on YouTube!

  • No wonder his name is Moses lol. Amazing

  • Dang, that was awesome. I will check my sources for his whereabouts.

BTW, if you haven't found out yet, the "box with the blinking lights in it" was the 'Univibe'. These used a series of four incandescent lights to emit light on four photocells (in a 1-2-3-4 sequence), which then in turn created the Leslie effect. Very cool.

    Peace.

  • 'Univibe'

Yes! that is what it was called! Thx!!

As soon as I saw that name I knew you were asking about "the box with the blinking light"...hey that could be a song title! LOL

and yes it did have that Leslie cabinet sound to it, cool it was!

Do you live in Austin? I also believe if anywhere else he maybe in houston think he had family from there. Thx!

  • Wow! holy crap!

    Nice feel to this, great!

    Fine guitar player for sure!

  • Good God man what a sound he has!

This is really really something to hear...WHY didn't someone sign you dudes on???? I just don't understand?

You find him and he's still playing...let me know! I'll put up the bucks needed to promote this guy! Some refinement and publicity and / will...I'm just amazed is all I can say!

    Holy shit man!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh really?

LOL I think we may be to old to put it back together. Then again I look at all the old timers still playing and rock'n hard it makes me think emmm..maybe? But I've not been behind a set of drums in like 7 years now. But Moses, now if he should happen to still be playing! Yes he would will be worth putting some money behind. Thx for the response!

  • I am curious

Ever hear back from AliveForMusic4U ???

    Think he's full of crap!

  • Email never was never answered!

You could be right ... but for now I'll take his word for it. As hard as Moses worked on his music...I'd love to see him get the credit he deserves! From the respones these songs have received looks like he could get it if he is still playing and for that matter...still alive!

  • You are not too old to put it back together! Look at Roky...he's better than ever at 60, and the Explosives are having a blast.

So hope you do find Moses...I missed him the first time around but that would not happen again.

Thanks so much for these videos!

  • Thought of that many times, I see these "old" rockers still playing, I admirer them tons! Not sure my back could take the beating. Not been behind a set of drums in 7 years. Though I still have them, my son plays them. Like riding a bike I hope I'd pick it right back up. It was hard enough playing along with his music the first time around, but as I listen to them today, I hear all kinds of fills and different things I could have done. We played a set a day EVERYDAY, which would kill me now!

  • Awesome guitar player!

  • Awesome!

    Like way cool sound dude!!!

One hell of a guitar player FOR SURE!

  • sounds like hendrixlol

  • This is too good, too much soul in it :)\.

  • Damn what a lead player!

    Hint of Zappa there?

Man...the more I hear as I type this more amazed I am!

    Great!

  • great!

    *****

    pepi

  • great guitar playin!!!! thanks for telling me about this guy!

  • Yep he can play guitar!

  • hope you find him

  • Yeah now thats a guitar player!

    Awesome!!!

  • Damn good tune still sounds great today I think. Try using "Cool Edit Pro" and maybe you can pull the vocals out a little more!?

Saw were you said this was recorded on the old stereo 8tracks from the 60's and early 70's...that is really impressive!

  • Woo! Way kewl song

gave a listen to your others 2

    Geat sounding band

I live near Austin all my life and a biker

never heard of the Onekight bar

  • It was at 801 Red River Road just up the street from a cop shop!

  • Awesome guitar player!

  • Nice set of Vistalite drums you have there.

If you still have them they are worth good bucks check out vintagedrum(dot)com

I've sent this song to lots of musican friends of mine. Moses is one hell of neat composer as will as player of the guitar, these songs are awesome!

  • Holy crap!

    That dude can play guitar!!!!!!!!

  • Man this band should not of broke up!

It sure would have it big...really cool sound!

  • Like way cool dude!

  • Great music!

    Nice to hear something different

  • Cool music a nice change from todays crap!

Good to hear someone that can really play the guitar.

Reminds me of Kenny Wayne Shepherd, or Stevie Ray Von, And obviously Hendrix.

The kind of sound that lives for ever!

    Pretty cool dude.

  • Great sound this band had.

Sorry to hear it broke up!

Hope you find him and he is still playing guitar. If so put it back together man!

It's great stuff...The guys here in the barracks all like it when I play them. Sounds really great with stereo sound system turned up to the max!

    Thx

  • Just an amazing guitar player, he has some very unusual licks and riffs he plays.

    I admire him enviously !

  • Excellent!

Nice tune, nice slow pace to it yet it ROCKs!

Sounds like a cross of Hendrix, Zappa, and the Jefferson Airplane.

Like "nomorewar" said: cool lead break!

  • WOW...awesone lead break !!!

Get down, the guy can play that thing!

  • Sweet!

  • cool tune

  • Great music just like the old days...wish music would go back to this kind of sound.

  • Damn I wish I could play like that!

    Thats great!

  • LOL thats great!

  • Right on brother!!!

  • Cool love it!

Shame ya'll never made it big.

  • Yes it did or still does!

I hope to get back some day.

  • Get down...excellent sound

  • I highly agree with that. From what I've heard of his songs posted here, this guy would be an awsome $ maker today. Back this guy with a few bucks and refine it a little and promote it right...man oh man! It has tons of potential.

  • Like I asked before. Where were you in 1974?

  • its nice to hear a hendrix inspired guy who has his own style & isn't just a jimi copy cat ... those are a dime a dozen

he has a little Zappa in him

  • Once in a while we could get Moses to play a Hendrix song..when he did you would swear it was Hendrix playing.

  • Good music

  • Great music

Good luck on finding your old friends hope you find him. If you do put this band back together. I think its fucking GREAT stuff!

  • What kind of drugs where you all on?

  • Neat

  • Like Far out man

  • Wow cool !!!

  • New sound even if it was back in the hippie days of rock and roll. This band should of made it big with a little refinement.

The girl singing reminds me Grace Slick.

  • What do you mean "even if it was back then"?

    Thats when music WAS music!!!

  • Yes your right, it much better than the Rap crap of today ... sorry didn't mean to insult anyone

  • Rock on.........oh the band broke up

    Bummer man nice drug music

  • Why in hell did you break up a band like this?

Great sound man you fucked up!

This band would of made it big time. I've listned to all the songs you have posted and most I like a lot.

  • I agree thats a sound that would still make it today. The world could use a new Hendrix

  • real Austin music. how I would have loved to be born back then.

  • cool sound post more songs

I would like to hear some more. I lived in Austin in the early 80's

  • Wow real hippies!

I would of liked to have seen this band live.

Kewl sound, in a calm self-controlled way.

Love the art work pictures someone is great at pencil line art.

  • I don't know who the guy was that did that picture of us. All know was he was a biker that came to the OneKite every week-end to hear us. And yes he was damn good at it.

  • Hey man this dude has the Jimi sound down. Sounds like he has a Jimi magic WA-WA pedal too. But if this was in 1974 what was he using? The Jimi box came out in the 90's.

The band sounds pretty good, sorry to hear it broke up. The chick singing sounds like that Ono chick from the Beatles, sorry to say!

  • Hendrix was his inspiration and idol. Moses has some amazing solo's. That I would put right with Jimi Hendrix.

As for the wa-wa, he had some box with a blinking light inside of it. I couldn't tell you what it was called, but Moses said it WAS what Hendrix used.

And for her singing, well, she sounded better live is all I can say. But I do some what agree LOL

  • Find this guy and get back to me! ASAP!!!

  • Where were you in 74 ! ?

We only played on Saturday nights, and we pasted the hat, I mean we pasted the hat to get paid!!! We made about $30.00 each. Thanks to the bikers. We lived and played this music every day for hours on end. This recording was done not long after being together. The music took a great turn to the better in the next year. But we were STARVING!!!

I went looking for food. I miss them!

  • Moses would be about 58 or so I would think?

Yes I do have more of this music, I'll post more of it when time permits. There are a couple more songs on MySpace. Wish I could put this band back together!

I just really need to talk to Moses be I die!

I always thought someone would have produced his music by now also.

  • WOW...that is good! I almost clicked off of this after it opened up. Glad I listened to it all. That guy has some cool riff's. Do you have any more of this music? Any other songs?

I sent this to a friend of mine that is a producer...he said he would sign him on right now. How old would Moses be now? Hope he is still playing guitar. If he still lives in Austin I would think someone would have produced this music by now. If you find him put the band back together and let the world hear this.

  • sweet early trippin' stuff. sure wish some live footage existed(?) of this live(?) tune, but the drawings offer a good music video type change.

  • Trippin music, yeah good driving music for the road...LOL

  • Hey your on here also...I saw your MySpace blog.

Best of luck to you hope you find your old friends.

This music reminds me of Jimi Hendrix...which I see you have lots of his saved in your favorites. Shame your not still together, I think this music is pretty good stuff.

    Best of luck!
