It happened in the MW division before. Example Maia gets KTFO by Marquardt in the 1st round then wins just one fight after that n gets a title shot. Hendo loses to Rampage then goes down to MW n already fights for the title. Anderson Silva gets a title shot in his DEBUT win. The MW division is the weakest division in the UFC.

I like Mark Munoz, but he should not have said he was next in line, anybody who does not acknowledge that Sonnen deserves the next shot is delusional. Ive never heard him sound so cocky, he sounds just like his bitch team-mate Ellenberger who recently said he doesnt think Diaz deserves a title shot at GSP and has no chance to beat him.
