  • Excelente, Valentina!!!

  • Hey thanks for the new upload. I enjoy all of them. :) So how rare is it when you come to Seattle, Washington? I read an article of a while ago and it said that you did a Rachmaninoff Concerto, but the original pianist had an illness and you filled for him, that was awsome of you. :) What did you think of the Benaroya Hall?

  • Are you coming to California by any chance! I want to hear you LIVE !

  • Is the piano a Schimmel ?

  • @bfeyalcin yes.schimmel

  • Valentina...9:13 and beyond make me question whether you are a human being.

  • Will we have ever the the pleasure to hear you in Turkey ? :)

  • @bfeyalcin Sorry for the second "the".

  • What a wonderful venue. Thankfully there was not a Steinway or Bosendorfer (I can't read the manufacture) in the rain.

  • @johnpkling is a schimmel

  • Your playing always makes me happy ! thank you!!

  • Oh ... you've been in Italy - my country - and playing (also) beloved Liszt :-) Can't wait to hear your future recording of Liszt. Beautiful this one ... like always, being you ;-) Lovely to see a new video from you. Hope that you'll come again to Italy soon in a town more near to mine - which is Bologna. Ciao ! :)

  • @ValentinaLisitsa

Please give an masterclass when you come to Kempen next year and share your method :)

  • It had been months until you uploaded something!! so glad :B

  • Awesome Val!

i wish i could go to your concert tonight in São Paulo...

Have a great concert tonight and welcome back to Brazil! ♥

BTW, What is the "Liszt project"?

    P.S; I love your new website :-)

  • wow

  • thanks for existing, you will always be the best pianist I've ever known.

  • Note to all Valentina-fans! In case you haven't noticed there's a fantastic video of a solo recital of Valentina which took place in Salzburg. That recital includes schubert/liszt: erlkönig, gute nacht and des mädchens klage + chopin's nocturne op 9 no 2 + strauss/godowsky: die Fledermaus. You can see it here /watch?v=9ZsyuqURt9M - or by searching "valentina lisitsa plays godowsky".

That performance was stunning! I've been hoping to hear erlkönig played by Valentina for ages! :-)

  • I wish I had your hands... mine are too small (I can only stretch across 9 white keys and even that requires a lot of effort). Bravo though ^_^ You make music come alive

  • I correct it again and write comment.

    To grand Mrs. Valentina!

One your my channel increased at last. I watched the concert of Salzburg, was a very wonderful performance.

You cannot come to Japan for a great earthquake disaster, I am very sorry, but the extremely splendid pianist like you please make a plan again by all means.

I wish it is uploaded more various music.

  • @ValentinaLisitsa Just passed to say hello and wish you a good performance. I'm definitely going today. See you soon.

  • valentine when you upload scherzo, ballade and the other videos of Chopin and Liszt that you promised us? waiting impatiently for months =)

  • @Minanto91 I will try to catch up as soon as I can . Yesterday was my first free day ( no piano around ) like in ages. I had quite an "eventful" summer , having to fire my agent ( not fun ) , looking for a new one ( Hoorray , i have the best one ::-)) , dealing with my mom's health etc.....

I am heading to Hannover for another recording session in September . Liszt :-)

  • @ValentinaLisitsa Hi Val, In September are you going to broadcast the session? It would be wonderful!!

  • @ACE29q There were a lot of technical problems with fast internet connection last time around - and sound was really bad. It was very annoying to try to fix it rather than concentrate on the performance . I think this time I will just tape the whole thing. We are doing vinyl LP this time :-) A real thing , like in good old times , with tape - no gimmicks.

  • Superb!

  • good to see a video from you again. excellent performance, much respect for having this kind of control in front of an audience.

  • ついに 本人が久々にアップしましたか?こんな素晴らしいピアノ演奏家がなぜ日本に来れないの?今回は大震災で来れず!!

    ずっとYoutubeで観ることしかできませんね。

  • @mamakokonao :-)

  • wow, fingers so fast! You should consider playing starcraft 2 pro also.

  • Valentina, Thanks you so much for uploading this clip. I've been listening to (and playing =^) ) a lot of liszt lately, and hearing your interpretations are always inspiring. I have learned a lot from you just by looking at your videos. E.g. Your campanella sounds like a violin, and I've learned to mimic that. If you ever come to Virginia or North Carolina in the US please let me know!

  • @DLee594 Liszt , when writing La Campanella , was under immense spell of hearing Paganini perfrom it on violin. Youa re absolutely right ! By the way, I live in North Carolina ;-)

I have a recital in Lexington , washington & Lee Univ. next Feb 7th

  • Wonderful as always!!!

I`m very happy you uploaded a new video, but very sad at the same time because I couldn`t get a ticket for your concert in Sao Paulo.

    Anyway, thanks for posting :)

    Best Wishes.

  • Wonderful! You are such an inspiration to me, and I am so happy to have found such a marvelous pianist to listen to on YouTube. Thank you so much for sharing! Do you play any Chopin ballades? Can you upload the Mozart concerto?

  • Amazing! Hopefully i will have the immense pleasure to hear and see you again next year at Le festival Lanaudiere in Quebec! Will you come again?

  • @QcMori7 If I am invited again :-) And next time I will ahve to do 4 hours long recital , to beat 3 hours long recital I did this summer. it is getting dangerous :-)

  • @ValentinaLisitsa You are capable!

  • in italy its 4.oo a.m....now I must sleep:)I have studied for many hours..at the piano and on the table with the music paper..i use my photografic memory..good night(for me eheh)best whises for the concert..and I hope that I can hear your good notices soon!:) your big fan and if you will give masterclass in the future your first studen;)eheh

    davide caracappa

  • @SPYKEjj If you are into lots of Bach , next time I will tell you how to study Bach to play like Glenn Gould

(almost - hehe), there is a very useful way to practice Bach keyboard pieces that does miracles. It has to do with counting ....

  • @ValentinaLisitsa ok!thanks!!!I am waiting your suggest :)I love bach...i am a bach-dipendent!now I am studing prelude and fugue very well, note to note, with particolar attention to any voices,"tema" fragment of "tema",and evrything that conductive to build the structure of the prelude or fugue..but this metod is very wearying..I am a nevrotic perfectionist to the sound ..:)when I am ready,I want record all prelude e fugue.I hope.fortunately I have a good and fast memory(photografic ,cinetic..)

  • @SPYKEjj glenn gould for me is an important figure,I have known this artist in a particolar period of my life.and his tecnic, and conception of many things about some pieces is very similar to the my idea.I have all glenn gould documentaries, concert videos(about 15),80 cds..all that he has recorded in his life!I hope that you will tell me your special metod for study bach;)you have my email address:)

  • @ValentinaLisitsa OH wow I'm so curious! Tell us!

  • @ValentinaLisitsa WOW!! I'm so curious about the method to study Bach that you mentioned before. Please share it with us!! ^^

  • Amazing :):), you should definitely come to the Dominican Republic some day ^^ I will love to see you playing and you got lots of fans here. And I think is a great detail from you to talk to us throught youtube lol greetings!!!! :):)

  • @XamNestRezReced It would be great. I am going to your neighbor , Puerto Rico, for Casals festival next spring _ perhaps it would be a good time ...

  • Wonderful! I do hope that you will be able to post the Mozart Concerto #27 here, It is my favorite, and we would all love to hear what you do with it!

  • @ErnestSDavis1 Doesn't depend on me only. There are many people involved :) Perhaps...

  • Astonishing. I got a bit misty-eyed. It was so beautiful.

  • @ValentinaLisitsa I think 3 is enough. Who I must talk to?

  • @AlgarismosGomes Good, I will ask the production manager to leave 3 tixs on your name, OK ? I guess they will be left in a box office for a pick-up. Requesting right now >>>

  • @ValentinaLisitsa That fine. I'm really glad! Thank you, Val, I don't know how to thank you for all this. You're such a nice person (as much as a excelent pianist). Hope to see you tomorrow.

  • @AlgarismosGomes You will definitely see - and hear me :) Enjoy !

  • I just CANNOT believe that not a single news website published a note about your visit to Brazil. I'm from São Paulo, and I'm always looking for a concert to go, but they're usually not really good here, and when YOU (my favorite nowadays-pianist) are coming to play the 3rd Concerto (my favorite, I love the 3rd movement, as a pianist student that I am), I got the information too late. What a shame. Hope to see a recording on your channel soon.

  • @AlgarismosGomes It is tomorrow ! if you can come I will get you tickets. The whole thing happened at the very last minute in fact. I was still getting my Brazilian visa last Friday .

  • @ValentinaLisitsa How much are they, please? :)

  • @AlgarismosGomes Who ? :) Tickets . I have comps - free tickets alloted to artists.

  • @ValentinaLisitsa That would be great, Val! Could you do this for me? Just for introduce me, I'm Rodolfo Gomes, 14, 6 months as a "pianist", but I think I'm going great.

  • @AlgarismosGomes Sure , how many do you need ? It is in Sala Sao Paulo at 17:00 tomorrow, Sunday

  • @AlgarismosGomes I made a request and it should be done with no problem. They in fact asked me today if I need any extra tickets. In case there is ANY kind of problem - be sure to remeber the name Daniela Fonseca -she is the production manager with the orchestra and she will be running back and forth between box office and back stage. Just ask for her. I emailed her right now.

  • @ValentinaLisitsa Thank you so much again! Have a nice staying in Brazil :)

  • Comment removed

  • @ACE29q Nope, wrong guess . The festival is sponsored by Schimmel. Everybody is "forced" to use one. I actually liked it ,no problem . I expect some "Steinway" artists will be very uncomfortable. It is a heavy beast but with good and varied colors and it is holding tuning very well. I liked it quite much.

Kudos to Schimmel for making a concertgrand avaialble for 2 months outdoors

  • I love this rhapsody! And you play it beautifully, no surprise there. I hope you're having fun in Italy! You're lucky you have a job that allows you to travel the world like that.

  • @Sword1479 I am having fun in Brazil . I played Beethoven Third Concerto with Maestro Maazel conducting two days ago in Rio and tomorrow we repeat the program in San Paulo. I didn't go out even for a minute in Rio though my hotel was right on a beach. I was practicing all day long - every day. That's fun !

  • You are wonderful..

  • @SPYKEjj Salve,Davide! sto bene, grazie :) hehehe , I will not try my Italian here in public :) Though I am going to study it , I promise. Warmest greetings from Sao Paulo - doing Beethoven #3 and enjoying it a lot . How is competition preparation going ? :)

  • and I promise that i am going to study english!:)so when you and aleksej return in palermo I can talk to you better!!ahaah..my mother is an english teacher.. I love beethoven3 concerto!in october maybe i am going to study bach cocnerto number 1..re minore..and sol minore..I am a bach-dipendent.,infact for the copetition I am going to study some preludio e fuga from"clavicembalo ben temperato"I want recording it in cd when I am ready..all preludio e fugue!!

  • @SPYKEjj Awesome , good plan for Bach !!!

  • @ValentinaLisitsa bach..my life project..after that.scriabine-project;)........anyway.. BEST WISHES for the concert of beethoven!I know that you will be great in your performance..guaranteed

  • @SPYKEjj That makes for a very long life !!! I like your plan

  • in these day I study my piece(beethoven sonata the tempest...1°ballade of chopin..bach and bhrams)in slow motion!;)and it work very well!thanks for this suggest!when I am ready to recording something of good,i will send the videos to you..becouse your suggests are important for me!

  • @SPYKEjj I did a lot of slow motioning on Beethoven #3 . It works miracles . it takes a lot of paitence but the result is worth few days of running though the piece back and forth

  • Very good, BRAVO!!

  • @pas2tall4u Actually , I quitely apologized to concertmaster before starting - for having to play such a long encore :) This was presenter's request which I couldnt' refuse lol

  • Magnifica interpretacao

  • What could be better: It's my 18th birthday, I've had a very nice day including delicious food and a nice evening at a local bar.. And then I come to YouTube, and notice that Valentina has uploaded a video after months of quietness! :-)

Thank you so much for this lovely "birthday present" :-) Lol!

  • @belegSJ Happy B-day !!!! :)

  • @ValentinaLisitsa Thanks!! :)

  • Das kann ich besser ;)

  • Very interesting choice for an encore. Usually we listen to shorter pieces. But... that is what Valentina is all about, always making great surprises ;-) !!! Maybe Mozart was not enough, so Liszt is the one who really rocks the house, haha... Thanx!

  • @Rodintube See the descripiton :) I made a "mistake"of playing it a night before after the rehearsal. The head of festival requested that I must play it :) And La Campanella , sigh :( And Chopin Nocturne ...

But I actually enjoyed Mozart the most. I need to get OK from orchestra and the conductor to get anything published .

  • @ValentinaLisitsa But I read the description before (???). Anyway, Liszt is my hero, and so is Valentina "Lisztisa" (just joking... LOL... sorry!). Thanks for answering me (such an honor) :-) !!!

  • It's been a while ! I missed the sound of your hands. Huh, i mean the piano ^^

Still looking beautiful, and as always that way of playing... I love your fingers :D

  • Mi piace!

  • Great thanks

  • FYI this Video didn't show up in my Youtube-subscription-box.

I like your play very much.

    You are awesome!

  • @platypusssss Hmm , I don't know why . There was some glitch with the upload , it shows now that video was there for 2 days . it was - but it was refusing to work. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Finally a new video ! I've been checking your channel everyday for the past 3 months to see if you posted a new video. You are an amazing pianist Valentina and you inspire me so much .Thank you!
