  • whats the best mother board

  • Comment removed

  • @ryley92 Truthfully, how the hell does this effect you in any way? Sure you have to click on the next video but come on! You are already sitting down being lazy browsing YouTube. At least his videos are good. They are very easy to follow. Now if you are going to be a troll, please go somewhere else...

  • @monsterhunter99 lol, i just realized how bad that looked, i wasnt reffering to bucky, i love bucky... i was replying to someone else that posted

  • 4gb ram amazingly High in 2008

  • 1000 mhz FSB good?

  • Built in graphic card is crappy

  • Drink every time he says 'motherboard.'

  • what was the pci chips? was it the box the motherboard came in?

  • in soviet russia you no make computer...computer make you!

in america thats calles no lifes though..

  • My shitty ass computer can only handle 360p Smoothly

I NEED A NEW ONE NAO

  • "motherboard" rised at 32

  • I have 2.00 GHz Is thatt good??

  • @DVDROM7788 Depends on how many cores and treads you have. I You have 2 ghz 1 core 1 tread then its pretty shitty. If you have 2 cores 4 treads its okay, if you have 4/8 cores/treads or more it pretty good.

  • @SuperOddsmurf Was pci chips the name brand of his motherboard?

  • How ironic, you need a computer to learn how to make one!

  • @thedestroyingpulsar Lol, you need internet, you can view this on a ipod, or over 3g on a iphone. lol :)

  • @thedestroyingpulsar Or an iPod

  • @thedestroyingpulsar

Yes but you need also money to get a job (if you don't have you cannot go to work or to commute), you need live to give it again, the processors are improved by software tools working on machines having also processors, and so on...It's not funny, it's just a question of evolution of things.

  • @thedestroyingpulsar no you can use a phone, ipad, ipod, even youre TV now

  • @Lolz0z100 Those are all computers.

  • @thedestroyingpulsar internet cafes

  • @wanted888ghost That would just be internet.... -.-

  • @clisste you should check out pcpartpicker

  • @clisste tigerdirect? newegg?

  • @clisste i got all my components from "Scan" but I think it only ships to the UK ( it's worth looking at because it's an amazing site :))

  • @clisste trademe dot co dot nz

  • you're right, rabbit! he knows what he's doing. this guy is cool! he is demonstrate the tutorial step by step.

  • where do you buy these?

  • How much does these parts cost?

  • 10 people got a fatherboard :P

  • Guys im building my first computer can any1 tell me if i have any problems or issues?

I have my dvd stuff and hard drive from my old computer.

  • @Godspart0n If you are looking to game you may wanna get a graphics card

  • @MonkeyWithMtnDew yea i do have a graphics card it's the Gigabyte Gefore GTX 560 ti :)

  • @MonkeyWithMtnDew are you serious the Geforce GTX 560 is a grapichs card

  • @Godspart0n need the graphics card, also make sure you have a case... i forgot mine, i built it, and i didn't have a case to put it in:( but i got one and now i can play games, movies, in hd:) and then i sold and made 100$:)

  • Respond to this video... i know you got a case, just make sure i will all fit.

  • @Godspart0n I'd suggest you buy a better Video Card than the GTX 560

  • Can I use my skateboard? It has 4 built in wheels.

  • ha! my motherbord is 2000 MHz!!!!

  • how good would a motherboard with a frontside bus with 1600 mhz be???

  • My Computer:

    AMD Phenom II X4 3.2GHz

    Radeon HD 6850 1GB

  • @2RandomStudios did it come built toghether or did you build from the ground up?.

  • @SnIfes1243 built from the groud up. I made even more changes, but I wont post them for now

  • Top Comments can suck my balls!

  • In 2008, HD=360p

  • How we gonna make sure to watch it in HD while it's only 360p?

    just askin.. :/

  • @iHateMyLifeGr tht was high def in 2008

  • @HackerAmr lol, really?

  • @iHateMyLifeGr yea :P

  • helpful man thanks

  • What motherboard is it, and how much is it?

    Thanks

  • if i have onboard video can i still install a graphics card???

  • @SuperCodguy Yes

  • could u tell me exactly wat u used in all of the videos about how to build a computer e.g. the processor model, the motherboard model name etc. thanks

  • First time building a PC and the info has got me worrying. Will an Asus P8H67-M EVO motherboard support an intel 2500K processor? And will overclocking affect this?

  • @erigonsnest

How do you deside what motherboard to get with the i5 2500K anyways? I'm still strying to make this decision...

  • sweet hat

  • Downfall about having Audio and Video onboard

If it goes out, you are out.

It is handy to have, but worth your while to have a backup External Audio and Video card handy.

  • Didn't his dad die on Deadliest Catch.

  • Maybe I'm missing some obvious joke here, but why is he pointing to the onboard ethernet port and talking about Firewire?

  • i subscribed. YOU ARE SO COOL!

  • Firewire? you mean LAN?

  • hi, bucky i have a question.

were did you but this mother board from, and what are good brands for motherboards.

  • i am a big computer geek i know alot about computers

    i can fix a computer

i can build a computer from scratch

i love anything that has to do with computers

my faviort brand of computers is hp

  • @NoriesW Good for you!

  • whats the model of that Motherboard?

  • cant you just build a case yourself?i mean if yo got the skills:D ya know. just asking

  • I wouldn't call onboard video handy.

  • @BatchFileHelper Lol. I had already realized that 5 minutes after making my previous comment. In fact, i already have a list of computer parts I am building with and my motherboard doesn't have onboard video either.

-derp- I guess for a second I thought you needed to install the drivers for a video card b4 you could use it at all.

  • Lol, what motherboard Wouldn't come with "built in video"?

  • thats an intel celeron 1.8ghz or 1.6ghz rite? i have one of those in my moms computer LOL 512 ram baby....

  • thats ethernet, not firewire... just saying

  • lol that probably isn't even the new board. what real games doesn't have a old motherboard lying around somewhere? Now person with half a brain will handle his new motherboard like that. So stop talking about that board hes holding.

  • lol i havent made a computer before and im a beginner so how much do all thease cost

  • @bradmecool me too, and until now cpu = 100 to 150 EUROS for a good one, motherboard 60 to 100. sorry for the currency, I'm portuguese.

  • @bradmecool it depends really, i managed to build a decent gaming machine, quad core, 4gb ram, 250gts graphics card. for £300 or $486. but my main pc cost me £1000 or $1620 to build. so it varies. for just a browsing the web pc u could probs put one together for about £150 - £200 or $240 - $330.

  • They are not plugs they are sockets. muppet. Where can I buy a MoBo 3 feet wide for my case.

  • @VangaurdXTP alright, THANX!!!, how much would you recommend?

  • how does this setup sound

    core i7 950 quad core 3.06 - 3.33 turbo (cpu)

    gigabyte ga-x58a (motherboard)

    corsair 6gb 1600 mhz (ram)

seagate 1TB HDD 7200 rpm (hdd)

evga gtx 480 1536 mb gddr5 superclocked edition (gpu)

    Aeron 500w (psu)

    tell me whatcha think?

  • @snaggzs Fuckin beast =D

  • @snaggzs beautiful

  • This is great stuff! I know how to build a computer but never really went into depth on what certain things like FSB was or what it did. I would just match up the socket and go with that. I did learn something today thanks to you!

  • @VeoPress My point is the FSB he got only ran at 1 GHz

  • hes only using that old motherboard as an example....ooohh someones already said that......

  • if you need to make money buy a motherboard and a fatherboard and become a computerboard breeder

  • Well why should he use a 500 dollar one? Installling a mothboard is not too easy. And as this is a turturial it would be stupid to risk an expensive one for it...simple go make a turturial with your 500 dollar one then..

  • my computer is mad at me for trying to bulid a new computer so it froze the vid (literaly im not kidding help!)

  • @pcblah refresh...

  • @Frdchanga dont worry i killed it its now in a bon fire while i post this comment on my new computer i got for christmas

  • God darn it I accidentally bought a fatherboard guess I'm screwed now.

  • @AlexTubed lol man my grandma had one !!!! she refuse to tel me were she bought it <_<

  • @AlexTubed your comment made my day =)

  • @AlexTubed u can bread it with a motherboard to make lots of little cpus, if ur lucky u might even get a video card!

  • @AlexTubed lol

  • @AlexTubed Don't worry dude you can fix it! Just break off the long pointy thing and then make a hole where the pointy thing use to be. Now you have a motherboard.

  • can we just build the damn thing already..?

  • @teethonthekerb yeah, here is the motherboard, go build it.

  • I'M even making a new computer, I'm just watching to become a computer expert. :)

  • i have one that is 2100mhz and 3.0 ghz dual processor cpu is that good? Or should I get better parts?

  • @thatguyuknow1 thats pretty dang good parts

  • whats hyper transport bus

  • @snippa1ps3 double post noob. lol.

  • what hyper transport bus

  • ima chose the mother without the board :|

  • damn how much shit happens in two years cuz I'm already planning..

  • Ummm btw that is his sample mother board...Not theo ne he is actually gonna use mmmmmmmmmmm DUH

  • Some people say "the hardware is old"

im pretty sure that most of them cannot even afford the new ones, so STFU ok?

  • o.O PCI chips??? i think its PC Chips...

  • I read that if your motherboard is not cooled properly, your computer will crash. My FSB is 1066 MHz which is very good for me.

  • lol i was gunna say on the last video at all those people shitting themselves over how he handled that motherboard. one of the highest rated comments even pointed out how old it was. he clearly was using a disused one to demonstrate.

  • I have been trying to put my finger on it; but you remind me of Pauly Shore.

  • @TheErroneousOne why put your finger on it? he's already done a good job of fingering the motherboard on his previous video. jeez.

  • thank u very much..its helps aloooooott...A++++++

  • the guy is awsome

  • I hate how he spilt the video into 2. CHoosing a mother board could've been on 1 video

  • @doxiong He stated in the first part, video file is too big.

  • how do i know if a processor is good?? like what does dualcore mean? lots of info is appreciated :D

  • if the motherboard is small-looking will it still run faster?

  • I wouldn't necessarily say integrated video is good, because I've never encountered a PC with integrated video that can handle games of today.

  • I was told that i need to look at the chipset of the motherboard what exactly does that mean? also ty for the video very helpful!

  • cool

  • Thanks

  • what about the video card ?!?!

  • @daswada9 thats the bit about where he says it has audio and video, the chip

  • what if the mother board has built in sound card and graphics card can we still add a better graphics and sound card to it for better performance??

  • @konswerth Yes. Just make sure you have the slots for it

  • ganter nerd

  • These videos are super helpful man. Preciate what your saying. God bless

  • you are right about build in audio and video, it is nice to have them, but on 80% of all motherboards, video is so poor that people decide to add expansion slot. I'm actually about to buy a MB that has prety good ob video but i'm still going to buy enother GPU, just in case...

  • I'd wear earthing gloves when doing something like the motherboard! :)

  • My computer has several "expansion packs".

  • I have a commodore 64.. with PAL Cpu 0.985 MHz . Do you think is too old ? ahahahah ^-^v

  • i noticed "again the beanie was a little crooked, do you ever wear static straps?

  • I like these series...But i am intending to build a corei7 GTX 480 PC.....Any recomendations?....

  • my pc has 2600mhz FSB

  • does any1 know a website which tells u if d parts dat u wanna buy r compatible? an even better website would be one were u could just type in d components of ur chioce and it will come up with a list of motherboards that would suite ur choice....

    ty 4 responses

  • @maximilianbeggel Just check that your CPU socket matches up and you bought the right RAM channel type and DDR2/3. The motherboard specs should tell you whats supported.

  • is this a decent motherboard??? Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L Motherboard Intel Core 2 Extreme Socket 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Gigabit Ethernet

  • where do i buy i motherboard? can i like go to best buy?

    Please answer!? :)

  • @patobond007 , nah! you should go to your local pc shop better selection, but you must be well informed since its possibly the most important part of your pc.

  • i like this video, its very educational specially for people who doesn't know anything about computers. Thanks.

  • Ain't only 1 GHz pretty bad?

  • I hate the people who are saying 'The hardware is old' That isn't the point. It was made two years ago and although the hardware isn't very relevant the information sure as hell is.

  • @Sean62000 Pretty much.. the details (like what a good CPU speed is, amount of ram) may be off.. but the IDEAS and INSTRUSTIONS behind it are what's important.. right CPU socket.. compatible.. etc.

  • @Sean62000 Well the hardware is old now and was old 2 years ago but your right. Hes not going to spend a couple of thousand of dollars on hardware for a computer to just teach you how to build one. The main point is the information not the hardware. Bucky has a couple of very good computers and he probably never even used the one in these videos.

  • @Sean62000 Most people that say that are 13 year old kids who just learned what is inside a computer, so they think they know EVERYTHING about a computer.

  • You might already know this but if your planning on building a gaming rig I prefer to get a MB with no video built into it.

    1. it may limit extensions

    2. It will take a little more power that can be used elseware

  • can i get a motherboard with wireless internet connection?

  • i don't know about built in wireless, but you can get pci cards for wireless internet, and they're quite cheap like the edimax EW-7727In,

  • wha is good mghz on the FBS???

  • @leafblowinSK8 for core i7 they took out the fsb for this new thing called QPI , QuickPath Interconnect. It like directly connects the cpu to ram. I think 1.6 ghz is fast for a normal fsb but qpi is double that.

  • 1333MHz

  • Nice video but this hardware is old

  • In a few days i will upgrade my motherboard. but that is all im doing, im still going to be using the same OS from the drive. how will i go about installing the drivers for the motherboard. i know its alot easier to do fresh build with new OS, but i dont want to spent 200 on another OS when mine is fine.

so to recap: getting new mobo and cpu but using old drive with os already in it.

  • ok, so the parts need to be compatible with the motherboard, but do the parts also need to be compatible with eachother? i.e. CPU and RAM? or whatever, you get the idea.

  • i dont tink so because i have a whole bunch of different parts in my pc and it works fine. some thing have to be compatible though.

  • @kevinzawssum Nope, because they transfer information separately from each other.

  • k thanks.

  • no, jus make sure all the parts work with the motherboard itself. sometimes u'll see certain parts that only work with certain motherboards so u need to read descriptions on everything u buy

  • @kevinzawssum No the only parts that need be campared for compatibility (most of the time is the cpu+motherboard). the parts need to be compatible with thoughs 2 peices, they never intersect with each other

  • would a nvidia motherboard work with both amd and intel cpu's?

  • goodjob

  • nice mother board

  • haha ;D Great Video(s) They are all very helpful (im new at this Assembly stuff.) tho some referances* to various products was expected (u dont have to advertise (i prefer you dont) but if you just could mention some products YOU (personally) trust, it would be nice. Asus or AMD or Whatevr !!! -> Motherboards) Thanks !!! :D

  • oh man thanks, this is all i needed to know. Very helpful.

  • I like these tutorials. They're pretty well simplified. But you probably should quote brands. Otherwise, people are goign to have to look at more tutorials. you might want to elaborate on integrated video/audio too...

  • i was looking at an Asus Motherboard that said: " It features dual-channel DDR3 memory support and accelerates data transfer rate up to 5200MT/s via HyperTransport 3.0 based system bus." is that good?

  • yes it is

  • Comment removed

  • i have a question btw i made a computer thanx to ur video, can i resuse a old dell precision workstation 360 for a mATX motherboard with 400watts psu and obiously new parts cpu, graphics card, ram and all of that in that case?

  • integrated may be simpler but also lamer
