Have a dead washing machine and a TV in its death throes, but no funds for replacement at present. Don't cancel your subscription to Which? just yet.

Thanks muchly for the comments Elise. It wasn't specifically aimed at you - saving for Edinburgh 'n all - but I shamelessly thought making it a reply to your video might bring a few more views!
If the camera proves frustratingly deficient in some regard I may yet avail myself of Aldi's 30 day no quibble return policy, but with that in mind it seemed a good way of experimenting with a first video cam before spending serious dosh.

That is not at all bad for the price (though there seems to be a slight auto-focus problem at some points). Sound is decent though. No Aldis around here, unfortunately. Lots of Lidls. I should do a store search online.
