When folks see a dragon and Shatterer together, it doesn't explain why people are so surprised that the name and dragon Deathwing pops up, despite the differences in 'rank' and even universe. There are so many new people getting introduced to GW lore like myself. I don't think it's unreasonable to see that such people instantly think of Deathwing when you put Shatterer and a dragon picture together.

Ok, this trailer was shown the same year Cataclysm was announced. This thing looks NOTHING like Deathwing, but even if it did, it would be a case of WoW copying GW anyway.

Besides, Deathwing looks like a Blizzard developer took an Akantor and a Fatalis from the Monster Hunter series and stuck them together.

I played WoW for almost 5 years, and I also played GW1 and have read everything about GW2 that I could find... and the irony in saying someone copied from Blizzard is the funniest fucking thing I've ever heard. Anyone who doesn't see how big of a joke that is, doesn't know Blizzard's history. From Warhammer to GW to D&D, Blizz has stripped ideas from the core of rich fantasy worlds to populate their own. It's one of the reasons I have no respect for them now.

@spforlyfe The main antagonist on the INITIAL release is Zhaitan, the Undead Dragon. There are 5 Elder Dragons so far, and Zhaitan is only one of them. What you see in the video is The Shatterer, one of Kralkatorrik's champions and Kralkatorrik himself is "a lion next to a mouse" when compared to his champion, to quote the Anet devs.

It's weird cause WoW is actually a good game with really nice lore. The only thing that ruins it  is the shitty community of 12 year olds or 80 year olds with a 12 year old mind that shouldn't even be on the internet. If we give Chris Hansen a WoW account 50% of the population will be gone in less than a day lol. Either way, from my perspective, GW1 is the best PvP game out there and GW2 is the best PvP and PvE game.

Shatterer looks nothing like Deathwingchicken, don't let those WoWbots fool you. Take a look again, and look up Deathwing from youtube.. Nothing is same, except that both have wings and tail. Even the head is completely different. You see a mouth on a dragon, doesn't mean it makes it a clone of something else. You got a mouth, you look just like Deathwing!

@ehook I think it's because the general head shape is similar, the neck is about the same width and length, and the neck and belly are cracked with either lava or some arcane magic respectively. It's enough of a similarity to say "That kind of looks like Deathwing", but not, "That dragon's a total ripoff of Deathwing!".
