it doesnt sound like this guy ever had a testimony, only "defensive" about the church. At that time in his life he shouldve been learning more about the LDS church, not teaching others.

That was generic! Just by first impression this guy was all wrong from the get go. I have a friend who joined the Church because of a girl and left after they broke up. It just tells you where your heart is. With these type of intentions, don't you think that people like Gene decide their own fate? When was this anyways, in the 80's?
