Technique is your friend, use it. Your fills are okay, you're trying way to hard to do the typical rudemental fills seen in early 1960's Jazz videos. Which would be nice, if you didn't repeat the same fills constantly, on top of that your latin lacks all types of dynamic contrast, you "fail" on any form of stick control.
Enjoy your wrist while you have them, with that technique it won't be long.

On top of everything, your fills are clean most of the time now if only you would stop doing the same fills over and over. Add some variety, for warm ups, slow down and speed up, don't just do the same generic rubbish. It won't help you with your speed.
As for me, the only video I have is "Death Metal warmup" That's when you start slow then increase the speed then slow down keep doing so until you're full warmed up.

I only use my forearms for extremely fast stuff. You won't get enough power unless you trigger your kit otherwise. Besides, I still use stick control which is something I'm not seeing with you. Nervous or not, if you want to make it to the big leagues, you have to keep your technique at all times.
F.Y.I: When using purely wrist you risk carpel tunnel. Try using stick control and every now and then forearm for fast stuff. I'm sure you will find, it makes a huge difference. If you don't trust me on that, you can take it up with my music teacher who was the UCLA drum instructor for a long time.

I WAS THERE!!!! and let me say i think Metallica in there amazing wonder and wisdom made a big mistake. HIM did not fit in there and i did not know what they were expecting... I booed them off with enthusiasm because i paid a decent amount for a good show and i wanted a good show. Not shitty HIM.

Once you have recieved these awards from several competitions, you can come back and talk to me. Until you have done these, you're nowhere near my level. lol

Technique is your friend, use it. Your fills are okay, you're trying way to hard to do the typical rudemental fills seen in early 1960's Jazz videos. Which would be nice, if you didn't repeat the same fills constantly, on top of that your latin lacks all types of dynamic contrast, you "fail" on any form of stick control.
Enjoy your wrist while you have them, with that technique it won't be long.

On top of everything, your fills are clean most of the time now if only you would stop doing the same fills over and over. Add some variety, for warm ups, slow down and speed up, don't just do the same generic rubbish. It won't help you with your speed.
As for me, the only video I have is "Death Metal warmup" That's when you start slow then increase the speed then slow down keep doing so until you're full warmed up.

lol I never insulted the warm up. I was simply saying, it was a warm up, that's all it was. There isn't supposed to be anything overally creative in a warm up.
I only use my forearms for extremely fast stuff. You won't get enough power unless you trigger your kit otherwise. Besides, I still use stick control which is something I'm not seeing with you. Nervous or not, if you want to make it to the big leagues, you have to keep your technique at all times.

F.Y.I: When using purely wrist you risk carpel tunnel. Try using stick control and every now and then forearm for fast stuff. I'm sure you will find, it makes a huge difference. If you don't trust me on that, you can take it up with my music teacher who was the UCLA drum instructor for a long time.

I WAS THERE!!!! and let me say i think Metallica in there amazing wonder and wisdom made a big mistake. HIM did not fit in there and i did not know what they were expecting... I booed them off with enthusiasm because i paid a decent amount for a good show and i wanted a good show. Not shitty HIM.
