  • Andrew Fastow is a out of prison now. This is one of the numerous reason we need mandatory minimum prison sentences of at least 25 years for corporate financial frauds.

  • @IBDftw I read the book too, it was really good. Very insightful

  • norman bates

  • Yeah didn't lou pie cash out for hundreds o millions and buy half the state of colorado? He didn't get pinched for anything!

  • @avzeolla Pai did and he did settle eventually with people he committed wrongdoings against

  • This scumbag gets out of jail at the end of 2011.

Funny, his wife went to jail too for spending that dirty money.

And they had 2 little kids at the time.

    Winners? Not

  • Interesting to look the guy in the eye as he procedes with his self-deception. The whole episode proves how crap oversight of corporations was and still is. No-one keeps an eye on these guys - whether regulators, shareholders (individual or institutional), non exec directors ... this guy was just doing what all corporations do to a greater or lesser extent - see how far they can go without breaking the law and/or getting caught. Nothing has changed since Enron.

  • Mstater224, you'd figure that the jewish one was the CFO

  • lying (hand to ear) 1:21 lying (hand to chin) 3:13 lying (hand to eye, chin) 4:22

  • @jonpaulmoen nahhh i think their just innocent gestures

  • His Wikepedia said he was jewish, For some reason i feel i didnt need to look that up.

  • not too many people have the balls to do what this guy did, now, 6 years in jail and having the majority of your assets seized really sucks, but for the few years when this guy ran the show, he was the greatest con-artist in the world, and he must have felt like the fucking man

  • @BRIANisALRIGHT Read the press idiot heard of Madoff lately. FUcking pea brain.

  • i Love how he whistles when he pronounces certain words

  • Man....I just saw this video and look at where the banks are today! This new administration has balied them out even further. The tier 1 banks where the major donors of the new President's campaing.

    good grief

  • He seems like such an intelligent guy. It's too bad he used his skills in such a way.

  • @nickgers1 He is behind bars you idiot - Pai is the hero

  • @DJPirrone Yep, him and his strippers. hahaha

  • Yes, he does whistle his "S"s when he's under stress as Sherron Watkins describes in her book Power Failure: The Inside Story of the Collapse of ENRON, written in collaboration with Mimi Swartz.

  • This guy got away with it.....prison for just 6 years...and he gets to keep millions of $'s that he swindled.

What a twat....but then again, i would happily go to a low-level security prison for 6 years, even if i could keep just $1m!!!!

  • @MrMoralMan He's in a HIGH security prison in Louisiana at this time. I doubt very seriously that you would really go to prison for 6 yrs for a 1 million!

  • He reads like poker. His explanations vary from true to false when he gets asked a compromising question he drinks from the coffee or water. He does this once from each.

  • Why is it that the banks ALWAYS get away with it?????? I would love to know WHY! I mean here is a personal friend od Presedent Bush and he got caught

  • @frogy555 The banks dont get in trouble because that's where the money comes from! Their pockets and connections run too deep! Sorry, just the facts!

  • bajoverga.spoken like a true criminal yourself.lol. I agree that Andy screwed lay & skilling too even though I also believe all 3 were in on it..andy just wanted to be more rich..and even though I"m not on the Bush hating bandwagon I also believe the entire Bush family are also crooks when you really break down all their "friends" and "supporters"...money talks and this is why we R inthe shape we're in..notdue to Obama or Liberals or illegals etc but greed from the big old fat white legal man!

  • This guy was the worst of the worst. Not only did he cash out over $35mm he turned on the group. He made a deal with the prosecutors and he was the mastermind with the off balance sheet shell corps. He was the key and no one ever talks about him..it's all Skilling and Lay..amazing.

  • Never make the mistake that the crimes of ENRON were NOT all about KEN LAY and his overleaning greed and pride. Lay is at the CORE of it all. He hired Fastow and Skilling to DO what they were told to do. Lay was directly involved with major crimes beginning in 1985 but because he was highly connected in the GOP he was able to get away with it. He rewarded his political allies by major support of vast sums of ENRON money. He bragged of raising $110,000,000.00 for BUSH in 2000.

  • I agree but Skilling and Lay knew what Fastow was doing. Hopefully, Lay is burning in hell for all the money he stole. Lou Pai was smarter than all of them. He escaped with 1/4 million dollars along with stripper girlfriend. Now, Pai was a real genius (LOL)

  • @DigitalAnonymous Correctoin... Lou Pai pocketed over 100 Million! His stipper girlfriend/wife hit the jackpot!!

  • 1 sip of coffee...1 sip of water...

  • I agree brilliant is not a term for someone who gets caught. Genius however, well they say there is a fine line between a genius and in idiot so I go with genius.

  • are you people on CRACK..Andy was the genuis behind ALL this. He knew what he was doing and I hope he has to struggle for the rest of his life. He wasn't a puppet or some blind employee..HE was the main one, Skilling was just stupid and didn't follow up. Lay was even more stupid(and by the way is having breakfast with Bin Laden at a waffle house in Ohio) ALL of them are typical white rich men who don't care about anyone but themeselves. GOOD RIDDANCE to them all

  • the guys right!

  • i dont care what you guys say about fastow. this guy is a genius that got accused of a crime that he did NOT do... just a usual day in the present american govt.

  • I agree with you that Fastow is brilliant, but I think that he is also guilty of being manipulated by others around him to do thier dirty work.

  • well said. i agree within limits. i think that that fraud and conspiracy weren't committed by fastow on purpose. he probably plead guilty hoping not to be locked up like jeff skilling (25 years).

  • In his testimony he is so matter-of-fact, I do not think that he fully understands the implications of his actions and that affects of his actions

  • Fastow manipulated?????? Thats funny

  • leadguitar1xx3....of course he is a genius. At manipulating the system and fooling people LIKE YOU! The present american govt is not to blame for everything despite people like you who are fooled into believing this by people like Ken Lay. Read "A Conspiracy of Fools".

  • brilliant at what? all he did was create a way to funnel money from one person to another. his schemes were not that complicated at all. brilliance is not the word to use here

  • When he talks he whistles his S's. That's annoying.

  • Why hasn't anyone shot this guy yet?

  • He is not on the toplist, Bush the lesser and his asshole, ugly, brutal, disgusting father are on the top.

  • He is not on the toplist, Bush the lesser and his asshole, ugly, brutal, disgusting father are on the top.

  • PPPPPIIIIIIIIGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We can rationalize all of it but in the end these guys were ALL criminals...and they KNEW it! Greedy, self-centered, egotistical liars, cheats and thieves, wholesome old fashioned american values. Any one of them has the makings of an american puppet president.

  • Andy Fastow! A Hero, and a Legend! Blame the Board of Enron for being stupid, not the Executives like Fastow or Micheal Kopper who mkae use of this stupidity!

  • he starts talking at 9:11:01

    coincidence??? Or conspiracy???

  • so what happened? I assume the banks were granted immunity.

  • Burn in Hell, Fastow

  • A sad combination of deregulation of an industry, poor management and thievery at its best. Thousands lost millions in pensions.

  • exenrontexas I know this may hurt some peoples feeling but Enron was not half the tragedy of Bhopal, India. The people responsible were not treated by the law as they should have been, which would have involved most likely the improsonment of the Chief Executive responsible for the company.

Waterboarding is not a humane way to treat anyone. We are all judged by God in the end.

  • exenrontexas whilst not measuring the length of my arms the other two questions are easier to answer. Who could have killed him ? Those not wishing him to testify and were not very good at faking suicide. Who wanted him dead ?

Most of America as they are in serial denial.

  • A closer personal friend of the ENRON executives including Ken Lay is a former director of the CIA and a former POTUS. NO ONE questioned him or gave him a lie detector test. I thought waterboarding would have been called for.

  • Google Cliff Baxter's autopsy to see how deep this evil goes. Baxter was the ONLY Enron senior exec who regretted their evil and was eager to testify. Mysteriously they found his body with a hand printed suicide note the day before he was to be deposed. He was shot with untraceable bird shot and the autopsy says the gun was held FOUR FEET from his head. How long are your arms? WHO could have killed him? Who wanted him dead? NO ONE in law enforcement has asked those questions.

  • im 7'6" and a genetic freak like jevon kearse and my arms are pretty close to 4 feet long

  • Perhaps you should PRINT a suicide note and NOT sign it and then load your revolve with untraceable bird shot and then give it a try. Also be prepared to explain why there was no blood spatter in your car and when you had an asphalt brush on your arm.

Also the Medical Examiners office that reported it a suicide has had repeated credibility issues and recently lost it's accreditation for chronic errors in many criminal cases.

  • say what you want about this guy - he is fucking smart

  • You're right - these guys are smart

  • fastow was CUTE! I hope he gets buttraped in prison, that would be HOT too see!

  • Enron is a good example of what happens when auditors fail to do their jobs properly. There are a number of banks who are just as vulnerable because the figures cannot be trusted. Neil Coulbeck died needlessly because of FBI pressure. The should concentrate on Dick Cheney !

  • There were several attempts by the Clinton Admin. to tighten corporate accounting. ALL of them were blocked by the Senate banking committee under Phil Gramm. Gramm's wife, Wendy, was pulling in a MILLION A YEAR as an ENRON DIRECTOR. NEITHER has been investigated.

  • How do we rationalize the MLEC the "Master"-- today?

Wall Street contends that the current SIV's are doing the same thing that Enron did..........

  • Is this depo avialable, with exhibits?

  • The EVIL at ENRON began in November, 1985 when Ken Lay seized control by subterfuge and deceit. He took what was once a weathly and honorable company and ran it into the ground. It took about 15 years. There are HUNDREDS of executives who helped him who have yet to be indicted.

  • priceless tape with fastow

  • Amazing. I love this. Thank you for uploading this

  • where can we get more of these depositions??
