I love Japanese music, so soothing to my soul I have to say, I could listen to this all the way. it's so relaxing to hear after a very hecked traffic freeway day, coming from work in little Tokyo in LA.. When I arrive at my house, i pour some gen and juice, kick up my feet, meditate and really let loose. No sirens or planes from near or far, just peaceful music, the view, and living in the hills called" the country" in Diamond Bar.
This is one of my favorite movies of the 80's. Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita and Randee Heller were just brilliant. Oh and I loved Elisabeth Shue, especially her character. Unfortunately, nowadays stupid girls prefer brainless muscular ill-bred playboys with rich cars & zero personality. Sad, very sad. The Karate Kid was wonderful and so realistic film! I miss the 80's
Did you pull this from the unreleased box set? I see it on Amazon for about $200, no way I can swing that. I'm curious to hear the various tracks in their entirety.
I am absolutely stoked that this has been posted, i love the score from all the karate kid movies so much, especially "the funeral" from kk part 2 & this is such a beautiful score, i just wish i could afford the 1 to 4 cd boxset :( good work with this though tony :)

@MsDida18 $200? I picked up a real 1-4 collection for like $30 at Blockbuster. Is it a special set or something?
