It does seem a bit crazy that she's using chopsticks to pick up the hair, but it's actually quite genious! She's totally correct that the more you touch curly hair, the worse it looks.

she is using the chopsticks to avoid touching her hair with her hands during the drying process. When you have curly hair, and you touch it with your hands while its drying then it causes lots of frizz. maybe you should ask why politely next time :-)
