  • That's my problem I jump so high but can't rotate that fast.

  • You rotate SO fast. Lat

  • Exquisite double salchow.

  • You need to control youre showlders before jump. You have a lot of talent.

  • I don't like the entry edge with the toe pointed to the sky. it would look a lot nicer in a more relaxed position. But nice take off and air position.

  • AMAZING!!!!

  • So close! That is as far as I've gotten on it....and yes I hate those elbow falls! I kept cringing watching you fall :)

  • half of those were singles

  • ohh, so close, i wish i could land mine

  • Ouch! Those falls look like they hurt! I've just started learning to ice-skate and falling when learning jumps (when I get to that level) is what scares me the most.

  • if u had better form in ur take off u cud land WoRk On It!!!

  • The 2axle has driven me crazy for years!......your so close!!!

  • Most impressive!! Judging from the date of this video, I'm guessing you have it by now.

  • Excelent....

  • done those damn elbow falls a million times myself buddy.... right there with ya. Nice jump tho

  • hey do you know how to do a double toe? i have problems with it could you record one video of double toe for me im doing it in competition... Thanks And im a kid 9 years old thanks you bye bye.

  • Your entrance in the problem... also you are a little swingy with the free leg, but some great attempts!

  • strange entrance, but your sense of spring and rotation is great!

  • i think that your left side is getting a little ahead of you and opening up. if you could work on getting your left side to stay in i think that you would land it perfectly. awesome job! :)

  • Try using your arms more as you step into it. You're just keeping them sort of to your side. As you do the outside edge before you jump, your arms should swing back with your right foot and up with your right foot. It'll give you more lift and make it easier to rotate. You've almost got it. :) Keep working!

  • youre so good!!

  • 0:40 you practically landed it! goodjob!

  • the first jumps a double salcho

  • you should see my double axels lol ^^ i sort of go splat half way through the jump

  • i wish my double axels were as clean as those ones.......dude, your all the way around. good job :)

  • lol i hear a russian guy going "yes" lol

  • point your toes on prep. and extend those legs too.

  • korobushka is the song in the background :P

  • oh wow! :) you need to get urself a pair of them padded pants or shorts lol to protect ur booty

  • Try speeding up a bit. I found out that by icreasing your speed, you also increase your confidence when entering into a jump.

  • those were awesome! better than i can do!

  • i can nearly do a salchow n i can do a free jump n cherry flip but thats all the jumps i've tried

  • looks like my double axel. clean, one footed, but fallen. ;[ good luck on it.

  • Keep skating and working hard, you're talented!

  • ya... probably more speed would help and use your right leg more with the arms to get you up in the air spinning

  • if you get deeper in the left knee and begin to spring up into the jump it will give you a bit more timing and allow you to finish a bit faster so you can check the jump. i agree with the more speed comment but when i was working on mine, it's just too scary to fly into it with an unsecure edge :) if you can do both, the jump will soar!

  • very good!!!! ur axels were very good i'm so impressed. i can spin with no coach or lessons, but i can't even skate backwards -,..,-

  • It looks like u spin almost a half rotation on the ice before u even get off the floor. Try 2 practice going up rather than rotation. With height rotation will come.lol

  • more speed :)

  • You've almost got it, just get more speed into it.

  • viel zu rund maaan !

  • Its really Great!

    Your really good at this!

    Keep it up!

  • man ur stretching up quite well after take off ...but not making a preperation for landing . push your arms down and push your landing leg up and that will give you slightly more time to exit the jump securely ... and try taking off after a spread eagle and this will help your problem with jumping to the inside too much....

  • nice falll hahahaaa.

  • be careful with your falling.

  • landing on your heal try getting your weight over your foot

  • Those were awesome!

  • I have a technique that is working very well for me I am also just learning double axels... first you skate half a circle doing forward cross overs and then with ur right hand in front u do a mohawk and u set up with a swift right outside edge like into a triple salcow and u take off with both hands in front, then u leap with ur right leg as high as possible for the height, also this helps with the rotation! :) Hope I helped!
  • haha falling is the best part lol...i always leave the ice rink with a wet bum...i swear i spend more time on the ice...then again i always act silly so i derserve to fall over haah

  • ur on ur heal

  • rotation is excellent...maybe you over-rotate?

  • i think he does....over-rotate.... hehe.....but awesome jumps dudeeee.....

  • You're jumping waaaaaay into the circle man!

  • nice potential! man, keep it up

  • your double axel is great!! i am working on mine right now, anywho, good job!

  • try going up a bit more you come very round

which is just gonna make you keep spinning

when you land so youll have no control

    over the landing

  • They're really close! Especially from 0.50 onwards, you had them backwards. Not that I am half as good as you, but I do have a tiny piece of advice. Try pushing forwards more, rather than jumping round.

  • maybe less twisting would help-my advise

  • haha you do exactly the same thing as me, I end up falling the same way

  • :O

that's my music playing in the backround :O

  • you are so close on 0.34 and the second to last one. You are getting all the way around.

  • Hey im just wondering but are you wearing rentals because when i used to use rentals they were brown.

    Weird?

    Please comment bac!

  • he's not wearing rental skates. rental skates are still brown but for a skater at even the level of just plain singles or single axel, you can't use rental skates anymore because it doesn't give enough ankle support.

  • its too round and u need to hold ur righ side up dont pull in tighter u fine cus then u will start a pre rotation

  • the first one was a double salchow? no?

  • yes, the very fist jump was a double sal.

  • The description makes me laugh.

    xD

But you need the pull in tighter :]

  • u skate?

  • ur very close!!!!!!

  • you got the full rotation on the first one you actually tried. you just needed to check out stronger and stand up strong! good luck, you are REALLY close!

  • lol, this sounds stupid but i used to do this. To help you spin faster and rotate more u loose the baggy clothes. trust me much better

  • Very good, complete rotation. Your left shoulder is coming around too much on the BO edge - notice how you are always falling on your right side and opening up the left shoulder. Kick through is nice, rotation is good and straight, just get that shoulder checked a little more and it'll be fantastic. :)

  • I think that maybe your landing a little bit back on the heel - try to land a little more towards the toe/ball of your foot - I have that problem too!

  • omigod izz this ur first time learning it then video taping it bcuz the first time i was learning it i kept falling and i still cant get my double clean

  • good attempts! try not to pull too far into the circle. i have the same problem:)

  • good job

  • pull in tighter and check out quicker

  • its really good just kick ur leg out faster to land

  • its actually pretty facinating.... i think you have to kick through more..

  • Actually, I think he kicks through plenty, it's not even under rotated, and it has good air position. The only problem I can see is the landing.

  • really close

  • wow, well i've been working on my double axel...its getting rele close =D but still not clean T.T

  • holy crap you have nooo clue how much iv been practicing just a regular axel and i can't even get tht down! lucky!!!

  • When you're in the air think about your hands coming closer to your right side. that way there wont be a chance of falling to the left like you did here

  • Come out of your left knee more and get more lift off. Watch your arms- don't get them too far away from you- need to come in faster to get into your backspin position. Get over your right side quicker to develop inertia. Coach.

  • wow ur rly good

  • okay, some of you might know who i am, but i was fourth at the jr. nationals, alternate at the worlds, and my recomendation here would be to change your point of forward force, and always keep a forward motion, don't hesitate, thats what got me fourth...

i cannot do a triple axel, but i can do all the other triples, use your free leg as much as you can, and learn to control it, and im sure you'll have a triple in no time.

  • just watch out your right hand at the take off of the jump, swinging it around to much instead of a straight up motion...its making you do that step out

  • if you jump a little higher you could be able to do a triple axel

  • dude you had it they are clean and everything! you shouldve landed them fine! haha...how azre they now? consistent I hope, you were so close!

  • You're really good!! You make it look so easy (at least the first few times :). Keep it up!

  • Yeah i agree the one at 0:40 is the best, the falls are caused by your left arm swinging back on the landing, keep it in front and checked on the landing and you will have that solid =D

  • u rotate very fast in the air, the double axel at :40 was the best one

  • reallly really good

  • wow thats close, to bad your landing flat foot, needs to get up on that toe :D:D

    good job

  • ohh man you soooo have that doub;e axel. jus check out. it is really good. YOU CAN DO IT!

  • ur quite good better than what i did my 1st time how long u been skating and im trainig for the nationals hey

  • More speed I think.

  • Nah. When your first learning a new axel (whether its single or double) you have to start of with not that much speed, but a deep entrance edge. Kickice8- its very, very close! Just keep working on it and im sure youll get it soon if you havent landed it already.

  • You are good and you fall only 3 times I'm thinkg of beguin figure skating just for fun

  • youre getting the rotation, but you are cheating the take off and not jumping into it, looks like tara lipinski's, if you jump you should have no problem landing it clean

  • thats pretty good. it took me 8 months to get my double axel. i also woked on my triple salchow at the same time, and i have to say, i dont know, but it helped me land my double axel. good luck!

  • you are very close. but even when you get it, the consistency will be a problem. jumps have to go in the direction of travel. kindof like jumping through a tunnel. right now you are hitting the side of the tunnel. try jumpong straight through without getting that entire 1/2 rotation on the ice before take off.

  • that was really good, im working on mine, but i tend to two foot it a lot on the landing, urs is awesome though u have nice height and are clearly all the way around, just u pull to much over ur left side so that u arn't checked so cant get out on the landing, iv done this several times too, its annoying because u feel like u landed then ur down lol well good luck

  • Wow, I am just learning the double axel, so hard lol. Ur looking really good, as well as your double salcow!

  • look on ur video and ull notice that when ur stepping ur kinda twisting your body which makes it harder so u hav to jump around instead of through. and ur over rotating which is why when ur falling ur falling on your front cuz over rotation. but awesome attempt and you are so close and i like ur technique and height.

  • So close!

  • pull into the rite practice off the ice it really helps!!!

you are close but just try to be more confident with your position. and deffinatly don't swing.!!.

  • Close!

  • Wish my coach would take me to double axel now... good job. Just needs a lot more speed and jump up more on your toes and not to rotate while you're still on the ice. My coaches have always told me to jump first before you spin

  • careful not to get swingy :-) when you punch up make sure you dont punch sideways, other than that good job ~

  • Good!
