I doubt that engine could possibly exceed 7K

theyre carburated, they'll rev as high as the mechanics will allow. used to have one, redline is at 6k. i once cold started it, the floor mat had the pedal to the floor and the tach pegged well past 7k. That engine ran fine after that surprisingly... these guys made the valves float so bad the timing belt broke... that 8k+ at least!

we thot it threw a rod but it turns out the timing belt jumped off were gonna try to get it going again and ramp it some more:P
