Who is it that passes on the example from generation to generation it is actually Prophets (saw) companions because all authentic ahadith have a chain of narration going all the way back to the Prophet (saw). The scholars, the teachers, and even books can be the avenue to tell us about that example. Usually a learned scholar can tell you if an ahadith is authentic, good, weak, or fabricated. Unless you want to be doctor yourself.
