My dad owns a retirement home n California and one of the women there is a Survivor of Auschwitz. I often think to myself, how do these people go on after they saw what they saw and experienced what they experienced? Seeing death and loss. Yet when their children visit, you realize, that is how they go on? The Nazis tried to exterminate them but they failed and seeing their children shows the failure of the Nazis and the Reich.

Great video. I hope to visit the museum some day. Regarding Holocaust deniers, most are not Germans. All the Germans I know are quite forthright about the crimes that were committed and also pay taxes that go to repararations to the victims, even though most German taxpayers were born after the Nazi era. I think it is responsible and honorable.

Any one serious about studying the Holocaust really needs to look at the works of Raul Hilberg. His groud breaking study of the Holocaust eclipses anything you will ever see at Yad Vashem.

The fact that Yad Vashem had rejected the manuscript and initially even barred him from its archive, really says a lot about the politics of Yad Vashem.
