Arma 2 is a very greedy game and you need a good computer to get it running at high resolution and high settings.

Your PC hardware is pretty old and can not run this game on high settings.

Your desktop has a limited resolution, I believe somewhere between 1024X**** and 1400X**** am I right? Well you cant run the game higher than that resolution.

I would recommend that you get a new custom built PC.

I have basically that except for I have a i7-870 @ 2.93 and 8gb ram and it runs great.

A bit of a stutter at first but, I just turned off the hyperthreading feature on my CPU and it runs good. Might have to OC my CPU if I want all 10km of draw distance but, IMO, that's a bit of overkill.

@greenremixv2 i've got a real cheap PC...here's how to find a good(and cheap) one:look for dual cores(Pentium dual core,core 2 duo) ranging from 2.8-3.2 ghz,those are cheap,about 3gb DDR2 ram,and no videocard!That's the main thing,no videocard!You buy an awesome video card separately,and you're set for gaming at max all the games!Well,maybe except gta iv,because that game just loves quad cores,and running it on dual cores is completely random,but still,it's an extreme graphics computer,cheap!

People discouraging this game probably had issues with optimization. Which, if it would take advantage of quad cores for most us high end gamers, it would run much more smoothly. But, the game does run fairly smooth for most comps.

Problem is even turrets manned by infantry can easily take out quite a bit of a horde,while most armed vehicles can still take out quite a few.

Helicopters with their missles can wipe out entire hordes (Note that I said it in plural form),and DON'T even get me started with the destruction a couple of Shilkas can do....(Shikas already tear through everything without zombies)
