Bose is not even close to top three in Audio because most audio professionals don't like to spend money on quality. Secondly, the biggest beauty of Boseis the smaller size. They are by far the best looking speakers for ther size and output! Most morons think that bigger is better. Clients spend thouands on decor and then the Audio guy brings in big ugly speakers.
It's really simple, if you can afford it, say I can afford it, don't knock it!
@sunsetsniper i can't tell whether this is a joke or not.... cerwin vega?! behringer?!?!?! it sometimes pains me to use behringer gates over dbx ones, never mind behringer cabs over, say, jbl.
@bryr74 YOU ALL NEED TO LAY OFF all he did was make a video it really sucks that theres people in life hatin on people thats why are world is like it is today just because its on the internet you jerks can say whatever they want cant you? i prefer if anyone hates a video dont watch and dont comment your just makeing the person who made the video feel bad what if someone did it to ur video how would your fell thanks to~all haters
@bryr74 in what way? Is it lack of sensitivity/output? Poor high frequency extension? I imagine Bose would be ok for providing decent quality for small venues and medium loudness levels, but I'd prefer some proper horn systems for anything requiring a lot of oomph. To be fair, I've only heard the 802s in person as they are used for Grandstand PA at the Royal Welsh Show. They got quite loud although I'm not sure of the power it took/sensitivity.
those speakers must be used with the controller or they will sound like shit, the speaker design makes them sound to heavy on the mid range if you don't use the controller.
Simply, you are pretty much on the ball there. The newest lifestyle systems with AdaptIQ are quite good for what they are but just don't have it all there.
Their 502s in a home with a variation of an MB4 would tear a hole in any Consumer THX system PERIOD.
@raymondleeleggs completely agreed, Bose's Pro its one of the top 3 in quality and fidelity, however their Home theater systems, no matter how expensive it is, just does not sound right. Those Subs are great, congrats...
1. Use system controller!!! 2. Use 1800 Amp 3. Dont think that 2 802's or 402's in front of 800 people give u a good and impressive sound. 3 very common mistakes. 8x bose 802 6x bose 502 2x bose 402 2x bose 302 Very clear high's. I do have high's and incredible low low's, u can FEEL them at 40 meters pretty well. I can make every sound system sound crap, its just how u use it :P
When they were hired from Viking Stage lighting they were used with a 802 controller into a QSC amplifier. EQ settings, the lot was tried to make the MKII's sound anything better than a pair of tesco value pc speakers.
They should be good. but they were really not.
Strikes bowling alley also uses 802 MKII's and the sound is shocking, although im not sure that they use with a controller. They have 6 by the way :S
If you have ever heard Bose 802's they MUST be used with the 802 controller. When they are set up properly the sound is really awesome, and without the controller they do sound very ordinary. The controller eq curve is very strong on the High's and Low's.
So make sure you have heard these speakers set up right, i am sure you will like what you here.

No offense.... but Bose sucks big time - especially in the pro field

On portable systems though I'd have to go with the HK Audio LUCAS range. There's one in our church and it's kicking for it's size.
