  • 2:00 WHAT!?

  • What is the secret to get that slapping type of sound when fingerstyle playing? Is it just very high action? Can I get the sound with a marcus miller jazz bass?

  • what strings are u using?

  • What type of theory have you had? I want to have the feeling that you have......not being stuck within the same musical key without needing time to think in order to go to another musical key. My spanish isn't good but I'll try to translate.

  • Amazing chops!!! You are the man!

  • 1:20 - 1:59 please reply! What name of this song

  • is 4:35- 6:00 from a song or is it original??

    suerte y sigue asi :)

  • perfecto

  • I recently purchased a Fender Jazz Bass manufactured in 1962. I verified the year with a number fond on the neck plate. It has a dark brown finish, maple neck with mother-of-pearl block inlays. It still has the original pickup cover and bridge cover along with the thumb rest. The neck is very straight and it plays nicely. The only flaw is that the bridge pickup doesn't work, but the neck pickup still does. My question is if anyone could tell me how much this bass might possibly be worth?

  • @4stringMafia number on neck plate isn't enough. you have to look at the heel of the neck and codes on the pots. if it's all original, it's worth thousands.

  • @saxshooter How do you get at the pots on a Jazz bass? I dont see a door for doing so.

  • The jazzbass of 1962 do not have blocks inlays of mother-of-pearl, have dot inlays.

Also they can have two concentric knobs instead of the three typical ones.

saxshooter has reason, is necessary to look at the heel of the neck and codes on the pots...

  • @laSelvaSur What bass do i have then?!?!?!

  • @laSelvaSur jazz basses made in 62 have three knobs, the stacked ones were only made in 60, the first year of the jazz bass. That's why the american 62 vintage reissue's (with stacked knobs) are not completely 'correct'.

    Btw, nice playing! Cheers

  • @ALIONBASS As I have understood the year in the one that changed of stacked knobs to three knobs it was in 1962, for this reason there are reissues in those who appear with two and others with three. Correct me if I am wrong. A greeting from Spain!

  • @laSelvaSur I guess you're right. Leo Fender always used older parts until they were finished. Cheers

  • Love your playing. What theme or song are you playing at 1:20? I've heard other guys play it, but can't figure who made that song :)

  • you are awesome, i think you are the best bassist i ever have seen

  • Smashing! My next purchase will be a vintage Jazz bass too Haha!

  • Sweet sounding Jazz bass, are you using the clean preset on your LD300 or do you use your own settings?

  • Beautiful playing man, awesome. I hope you can translate this! Great bass to! Is that a Line6 Lowdown I see to the left? Which model would that be?

  • great tone!!!

  • Flea on steriods!

  • very nice mate. well played.

  • Some really excellent playing there

  • You are a very good Bass Player! Keep rocking man but how many basses do you have? I saw a lot of vids with different basses. haha

  • Impresionante!!!! Ya no me extraña viniendo de tí... Jeje. Jeje.

    Eres una fuente de inspiración!

  • ..this boy has a great "touch", a great "mind" and a great "heart"...he is Great!!!

    Ric.

  • @hittive Did u figure out what song is that??? I wanna know soo bad man! :) let me know if u got it! thanks

  • fine example of a great bass player!!

  • great skills, great taste. you are a real bass player.

and i wonder why your name is not as famous as the name of other so-called 'great' bassists.

    you kick some asses, dude!

    keep on grovin'!

    (5 stars+favorite, of course)

  • @jojosmooth your wrong. he is more than just a bass player. he is a musician!

  • ow man!you are awesome!

  • Right on!!!

  • Great playing!

The new Mexican roadworn series are incredible...I have the P bass version - its astounding how well they compare to real relics!

  • iv been playing for 30 years and this is the best bass iv ever played period!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 40 years here and I feel the same way....its my bass of choice ...even over my 65 Pbass.

  • Mas que impresionado! Me encanto.

  • Awesome playing!! amazing sound too!!

    :)

  • word!

  • i have one of these babies :) love it!!great skills and melodies.good job cheers!

  • Sounds great Fernando! I wondered if you could say if the road worn feels or sounds any different to play than a standard '62 REI Jazz? I am thinking of getting one but not sure if I'd get the road worn unless it changes the sound & feel. Thanks!

  • Thanks, the Road Worn series are GREAT in sound and feel. Check the bass!.

  • NIce one

  • Hola, Fernando.

  • Fernando you impressed me. What a grate sound for such a old bass. And a very nice technik. Im gonna try some things. Where are you from?

  • Thanks, I`m from Spain.

  • Hola Fernando!!!

  • That was awesome. What strings do you use in this Video. And was most the stuff improvised or do you have notation or tabs for some of your licks ?
