I seriously LOVE the way they portrayed Lucifer... he's so manipulative, but in a way that actually works, and you find yourself half-wanting to believe him, or see his POV, the only thing which stops you is that you KNOW he's the devil, which, thanks to your entire life's conditioning, you believe to be a bad thing.

I seriously love the way Jared played him ... just incredible! I love everything about this scene! <3

I can't wait for Jared and Gen's kids to see this. Their father played the Devil/Lucifer and their mother played a demon. Their father helped "kill" their mother. They will either be scared crap less or get a huge kick out of what great actors their parents are and want to become actors themselves.

ive never seen supernatural, but to see someone speak with such boldness to Satan himself, is very admirable. if not... rather foolish. what I dont understand is why Dean and Sam dont align themselves with Michael? from my understanding of judeo-christian lore, God never asked the angels to do to love humans more than him. I guess that just goes with the old addage, "the devil is a liar."

@jathanator because in the show, Michael was in some respects and even bigger dick than Lucifer who didn't care about anything but killing his brother. He didn't even care that the world would be destroyed by such a showdown whereas our awesome bros do.

When Jared says "oh" in the beginning and later "here" in the end, his intonation and facial expressions are so sarcastically surprised and ponderous - it's very fitting. I also like the sadistic, little quirk to his smile and the way Lucifer's composure is slipping when he's talking about God. This is my favorite Jared-scene. His acting has never impressed me more (I'm usually more of a Jensen girl).

But still. Al Pacino's portrayal of the devil is unparalleled yet. It is sublime.

Lucifer's tone, his voice, his posture, the way he moves---it's beautiful. Snapping a man's neck with his foot or admiring a rose, he's coldly beautiful. I love how significantly different his voice and body language is from Sam. If it weren't for Dean telling Lucifer off at the end, I would totally have forgotten how evil he is.

Because everyone always assumes that Lucifer is supposed to be all big and bad and never seem to realise that in actuality he's supposed to calm, beautiful, and mesmerizing.

Jared's portrayel of Lucifer is so different and simply breath taking.

I would love to show this scene to that guy who recently wrote that article about how bad an actor Jared is!! This scene was so much more powerful than the season finale!! maybe because in 5x22 Lucifer was still wearing Sam's clothes lol anyway, looove the boys acting here, Jared's Lucifer is so awesome (too bad it wasn't that awesome in the finale), I mean totally angelic, not demonic, which is cool and even more scary ;) and Jensen did a great job in this episode actually making a difference between the past and future Deans ;) I love J2!!

I love how Jared portrayed the Devil. He is very disarming without even having to set his powers against Dean, he just speaks and you want to believe him. I especially love how Dean sees through it, sums up the lies, and shows resolve to not give up. Dean even mentions two titles "Sympathy for the Devil" and "Supernatural" showing that everything from the very beginning has led to this moment. Jensen and Jared did a great job.
