Car alarms can go off with any thunderstorm, just depends of how close they are, and what kind of lightning they produce. A thunderstorm with alot cloud - cloud lightnings will not be able to make car alwams go off that much as a thunderstorm with lots of cloud - ground strikes. Would probably not make alot of sence... Because thunderstorms will climb too if they need to go on higher level. Anyway, where is this?
