  • She's so centered, dignified, hopeful and completely not self-pitying after so much hardship - its inspiring to see what inner strength human beings are capable of :)

  • What an absolutely lovely woman!

  • Suu Kyi, by kissing clinton this week and hugging clinton (I'll give you a million dollars if you can get your arms all the way around that fat turd) is NOT good for your political career.

  • All individual sacrifices try to promote our inferior states to the Promise Land............ .....I salute you,MOTHER.

  • She knows what she's talking about, that one--unlike the people who actually have the seats.

  • Like a very fine wine

  • Aung Sun Suu Kyi, you're my inspiration!

  • I really wish those guys in green uniforms would learn from this lady, use their brains wisely for the sake of the Burmese people...or implant one, for those whose brains ceased to function all together

  • What a beautiful, divine woman for all of us to see. May her light lead by example for all those seeking how to live with truth and integrity :-)

  • This woman deserves freedom and deserves to see her people freed also. If I could have even half of her eloquence, humility or forgiveness I would be a very very lucky person.

  • Amay Su, I admire you.

  • beautiful, not just in her presence but in her words

  • Woaahh, she's a strong person. I'm Burmese and I had no idea she had that accent.

  • @aghpzac Well, she did study in England, mate.

  • VERY GOOD ACCENT

  • @kidpokeray

How can she be fake after spending so many years under house arrest. What have you done? Does anyone following you? Stupid shit.

  • @kidpokeray Yanks hybrid asshole! you and the fucking regime, birds of a feather?

  • Long live freedom of speech, human rights and democracy in Burma and China!

  • She is so great and ideal person for all of us, Myanmar people.

  • Daw Aung san su kyi`~my role-model~~~ always support her!!

  • Long live Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

  • She is so graceful. Bless her heart <3

"Cell phone is so inadequate" LOL, she's right.

Her answer to the "crude" question is so perfect. I so admire her.

  • Such a dignified and wise woman. Our world is richer for having people like her around. I'm happy for the Burmese people this momentous day.

  • First of all it is great that she is released. She is our hero, she is the only one who can bring judgement to Myanmar People. she is really great and intelligent the way she answered dignity that should be apply to the society. We support you always.

  • I really like the part she said about her first use of mobile phone. It was honest and kind of having an aura of innocent humor. Also, it is true the military should not be suppressed but to cleansed to rise to respected and dignified level.

  • wow she is our super hero, our hope, and she is the great, lady,l have such a great respect and wish for her,

  • The lady I ever admire

  • As she said, we need to change for a revolution inside country by non-violent way. I wish it will work well through the military junta soon. She is a very optimistic and gentle person. As all military junta actions throughout their ruling country, they wish to change their authorities to use in good sides for country. They might change it for a long time ago but they only centered their self-interest and corruptions from country. They only knew how to control country by guns and put under jails

  • As she said, we love the military which is formed by her father, General Aung San, and we hope them to unite with people, taking responsibilities for the security of our country instead of taking all authorities and pushing people to the lowest standard of life and make them suffer.

  • wow ...she is my super hero........

  • She's just marvellous. A role model for the rest of us.

  • very educated and sophisticated lady..

  • Of course a lot of the people who came to see DASSK are obviously not the oligarchy, they are ordinary people who are suffering from brutal dictatorship and downturn econmical hardship. I do hope she will be able to unite all walk of lifes including junta cronies so that the changes will happen in near future. Otherwise....

  • I have such a great respect for her. She is humble, smart and, most important of all - magnanimous. Military government has so many things to learn from her.

  • The true definition of a 'lady'.

  • "I don't want to see the military falling; I want to see them rising to dignified heights"

This is grace, indeed, in the face of oppression...

No singing "kill the boer" (or suchlike!) per Mandela, or deliberate setting out to fix political scores, per Mugabe & so many other "esteemed freedom fighters" upon release from a long (in this case totally unjustified) period deprived of personal & political freedom.

Best wishes; and to the country - even if it's so easy to doubt a happy ending.

  • @tgv150 What the bloody hell are you talking about? When exactly is there any comparison between Mugabe and Manadela when the latter is a supreme human being. Aung Sang Suu Kyi is a fantastic role model for the betterment of any suppresive regime which was always pre-empted by colonialism.

    I mean really now!

  • @skatergeek19811 No comparison between Mandela and Mugabe was made. And for your reference re. your "supreme human being"; => ?v=fcOXqFQw2hc . Regardless of the context, Aung Sang Suu Kyi has never uttered such words/songs about the Burmese junta and never will, I'm sure.
