  • yo, great results. I have a question not sure if you can answer it, but we can try eh? I'm 16 i'm fairly lean right now i weight about 108 pounds and i just started insanity. When could i start to see results? Would they be faster since i'm not obese/fat?

  • @icantscream1 really for you it will be the diet if you don`t eat the way they tell you too you will not see good results being 16 it might be hard but you must eat the proper amount i know for me i worked out all the time when i was 16 but didn`t see results and you may not untill your body matures a little bit so don`t be discouraged if you are not as muscular as you want to be it will take time maybe even a couple of rounds.

  • I got the Insanity workout, but what happens if I complete all 2 months and still dont feel satisfied with results (say I got a 4 pack, but I want a 6 pack). Do I repeat month 2's exercises for month 3?

  • You have to use heavy wseights if you wanna build muscle mass. Just a tip, 'cause i noticed you were very skinny, and didn't have much muscle, i'm not bashing, but i'm just saying, to get like..bigger arms, lats, and such use heavier weights as opposed to only p90x. do both

  • @cubone44 You want to burn calories yes, but you don't need to burn all the calories you consume in one workout lol. Your body burns calories at rest.

  • @clonze2011 Defiantly going good. Im on the recovery week. Before Insanity my abs were only defined in the morning, but now it doesn't matter what time of the day it is. Defiantly happy with the results.

  • @OmegaReach Yes. I went on a low fat diet, eat 6 times a day and for recovery drinks, i take boost, myoflex and this last month i changed to soy and whey protein. my calorie intake is about 2500 to 3000 per day.

  • Lets put it this way........ insanity burns a shitload of calories and adds alot of muscle but p90x Leans you out alot and Gives you a shitload of muscle. but if you already lift weights then I would definately stick to insanity. also I dont have the money to order insanity does anyone have any vids where I can see them online Thanks :)

  • @HuntardsGuide im doing p90x now, and i highly recommend it, but if you really wanna burn off the fat quickly, u should do a lot of cardio along with it. so i would say p90x, but i havent tried insanity so im somewhat biased haha

  • @HuntardsGuide I would to George St. Pierre's RushFit! I know its not in this discussion but I just got done with my 2 month workout and it sheds the fat but at the same time it gives you muscle...highly recommend it!

  • i mix my work out with insanity and p90x i did 2 rounds of p90x and 1 round of insanity i hit a massive wall and found i was getting the plateau effect. now i mix the two.

    people who call beachbody products crap are mostly jealous people or people who so fat and over weight they can't get off their ass so they put others down in the hope that the person just gives up or they just trolls.

  • @lepricon211 Insanity and P90X is about the same type of workout program. It's all marketing lepicon211. The only gain your getting from P90X is minimum and that's just because most people who do P90X has never never workout and is only 10 to 15 pounds over weight. Any type of stress to the muscle will give anyone same gain. To get true gain you will need to lift heavy, intensely, regularly, eat and give your body enough rest.

  • @feinburgrl ya that's why I worked out for 5 days a week for a year i was in good shape and hit the wall on most of my lifts. Then i tried p90x and have gone up in weight on my exercises 15 pounds in 2 months.........

  • @lepricon211 There is a few reason why people hit a wall when it comes to strength and muscle gain. The first reason is that your not eating enough. A lot of guys try to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. That can be done pretty easy but after hitting 10%, it's almost impossible to do. Second is that your not changing your workout and not putting enough stress on your body. Third, your not giving your body enough rest to recover.

  • Yeah eating 5 smaller meals a day, of healthier foods will keep your metabolic system breaking down food constantly, and help you lose weight faster.

  • I have completed P90X and worked really hard at it and started Insanity a few days ago and I really am working hard at it.Eating 5 times a day a nutritionally balanced diet,not cheating....and taking recovery and protein drink supplements with all that but still I am not getting the results I have anticipated.The definition is just not there and that little tire around your lower abs area,well its still there.Stomach is much firmer but its not showing my abs yet.....what the hell am Idoingwrong?

  • @MrDwaynsmith Just keep going at it. You may be one of those people who don't get results for awhile. Don't expect to see abs after a few days lol it's a 60 day program...

  • @MrDwaynsmith Hey man, if you not seeing the results your looking for, try using a different type of protein look in to using Isolate Protein. If that still doesn't work, and you want results use Creatine monohydrate. It will pump water in to your muscles making them look bigger and fuller, also giving you more energy and making you stronger. Hope this helps dude.

  • @MrJoshAhern That's not entirely true, if your form is bad any weight training will damage your body. P90X has some very intense shoulder movements that people need to be careful with, look around at the gym and watch those guys yelling and grunting and throwing their weight around. Chances are they have very bad form and will wind up injured. Just go slow and keep your weight reasonable, you don't need to use a lot of weight to get great results (better form will beat weight any day).

  • @MrJoshAhern you heard wrong, why would p90x be bad for the shoulders? p90x's shoulder and chest workouts are INTENSE, and very challenging. I would recomend you try them.

  • @Tu51ndBl4d3 you can but.. p90x is better. you should just do p90x because it make you loose weight and get muscles. while insanity, it makes you loose weight but, after that you have a lot of loose skin. so i suggest you do p90x

  • @Tu51ndBl4d3 Doing P90x then doing insanity  , in my option will ruin the gains that you have made. Insanity is more of a cardo based program aimed at losing weight not really building muscle, as the intense cardo will actually break down muscle. If you were to do this, i would do the insanity first, for 60 days to lose weight and increase you metabolic rate, then follow it with the p90x to build muscle for the 90 day program. Also this would be COSTLY !

  • thats a good combination because, if you only do insanity, you will loose weight but, you will have loose skin. thats because insanity is mostly about cardio. but if you do p90x you will loose weight and gain muscle at the same time. using insanity and p90x is really good combination.

  • @Matthew41700 Don't start with insanity. Start with p90x, p90x is muscle AND cardio based and muscle shreds fat. Insanity is PURE cardio and very high intensity. I highly recommend p90x first.

  • for the ab workouts, i totally agree with crusnchill. they're good to do every other day to strengthen your core. one of my best friends is a personal trainer and he explained that you can do crunches all day but it will never show without the cardio. we already have six pack abs, it's just that we need to burn off the calories around the belly to make them show.

  • Hey, I just did day 2 of Insanity and I gotta say... Its tough. But first i did the abs just to see what he does and that was even tough haha! I was thinking of just doing like 2 weeks of just the abs and see how it turns out. And I cant really follow the food guide they give because I need to gain weight. I'm at 140 at 15yrs.

  • @mickieftw insanity is so much better man, im 15 years old too and 158 pounds....ive done p90x and insanity, p90x you have to use equipment and insanity you just have to use your own body and it works just as good...its extremely hard though. so if you have the will power and want to get in shape, get insanity lol

  • @xboxizill I know I'm really late to reply, but doing abbs every single night isn't a good idea, you need to give your muscles a chance to repair and working the same muscle group every day will actually take muscle away to a degree.

    You're better off doing the workout properly as he has you do it in Insanity. Because six packs only show up when your body's fat percentage is below 10%.

    From experience I know that you can do 1000's of sit-ups and not even see a 1-pack of my 6-pack.

  • @ublec15 He didn't mix them up. He did the p90x routine all the way through for 90 days. Then did the Insanity routine for 60 days. There are ways to mix them up. Usually starting with the p90x scheduling, but throwing in Insantiy DVDs on the non-lifting days. Just gotta be careful not to overtrain muscle groups(i.e. doing jump training on one day, then weight-training legs on the next).

    No but seriously. You might not be taking in enough calories for the amount of exercise you're doing now. You also might be at a point where you're building muscle as fast as you're burning the fat. I started at 183, I'm about the finish my second round of p90x, and I've been stuck at 156 (heh) for about 6 weeks. However, my waist size has gone down by 2 inches over that time. Don't get discouraged. Muscle is heavier than fat.

  • @thedon1098 Density is weight per volume (technically mass per volume, but we're talking about pounds). I never said a pound of muscle weighed more than a pound of fat. That's just ridiculous. If you read the context of my post, I was describing how I was still getting thinner, despite my weight staying the same.

  • I'm psyched that people post their results on youtube. I'm in shape, I do cycling and free running, but I want to have more defined muscle tone so I got insanity. The result videos really make me not regret my decision. I just gotta wait till I get over my freaking cold to start doing the work outs.

  • Pathetic. If you want to build a great shape with muscle-mass ALONE then that's useless, as mass alone doesn't make some one more stronger or fit.

    I've seen FAT LARDASSES who could run half a mile at full-speed with out getting too tired(some thing most people in good shape can't even do).

    Being able to move and be agile isn't exactly correlated with being fit and muscular, trust me. :)

  • @kshitiz06 bro p90x were made for those who wants to be in shape..both for fat and skinny people..all it takes is dedication and commitment to it ...and its normal for a person just starting the program not being able to do pull ups ..but as you go,you keep getting stronger and your body wil adjust to it ..but be warn..lol the plyometrics part of p90x is really really difficult specially for those tryine it out for the 1st time ..lol but yea bro p90x is for everybody who wants 2 be in top shape.

  • I'm 16 right now, trying to decide which would be better, P90X or Insanity. I'm leaning more towards Insanity for the price, because I wouldn't spend any on equipment. But I like the physical strength and weights aspect of P90X, because that's more so my style of workout. I'm not completely out of shape, but I do have about 10-20 pounds on me that I could really live without. I'd like to get ripped, 6pack and very visible muscles on my arms, back, chest, and legs. Which would be better for me?

  • @Khaosreign Insanity gets you in top shape while p90x is mostly for muscle gain with some cardio.Insanity does have a deluxe set that has a upper body weight training dvd and the cardio on the other dvds get you strong in your lower body so i say insanity.
