WOW!!! And I thought the 4 tracks around my tree was overkill. Where did you get the large radius 027 track the widest I can find is 056?

Only K-Line (before Lionel bought them out) made 72" radius 027 (low profile) sectional track. Two years ago, I was able to find a local dealer that had a good supply of them and I bought enough curves sections to make 3 loops. The outermost 3 loops in the video use 72" radius curves. They look great with the 16" long passenger cars and the Illinois Central E7's (made by Williams, nearly 18" long).

Because all 9 track loops are independent of each other, I use 9 separate transformers. The inner loops use smaller transformers. I have a mixture of Lionel, K-Line, and MTH transformers.

I have 9 separate transformers - one for each track. The small inner loops of track use small, simple transformers; the outer tracks have more powerful transformers with horn/whistle buttons.
