This footage was filmed at Cubbie Station, Dirranbandi Queensland Australia. It is the largest cotton growing farm in the Souther hemisphere. The storage dams on this place hold more water than Sydney Harbour. Th e aircraft in this clip belong to Jones Air, St. George Queensland Aust. Pilots, Hollywood Dawson, Craig Crossingham, Cameron Jones, Jason O'Toole.

I used to fly ag over in AR... got a little over a thousand hours in radial 'Cats, and a few hrs in a 301 with a Garrett conversion. I fly pipeline patrol now and get down around Olney once a week. Any chance of a tour of the factory if I stop by sometime?

GREAT VIDEO!! I work at Air Tractor in the Final Assembly. Sometimes we get to ride with the test pilots and that is the sweetest part of the whole job. I am surrounded by fields near Wichita Falls Texas and the owner gets his fields dusted all of the time and the pilot that he gets to do it is awesome. Wichita Falls is near Olney, where Air Tractors are built. They are making a new Air Tractor there called the AT-802u It is an armed plane meant for small insurgent air forces...... It is AWESOME. These planes are very powerful and agile....

howcome they spray at night? How do you see powerlines, bush, stuff like that in the dark. Here in alberta Canada positively NO aerial spraying after the sun is down...Perfect video though, beautifully done. Be safe out there...

we used to spray at night due to the chemicals having to be applied to cotton at temps lower than 28 degrees and with the amount of work we had, night was the only time we could get the jobs done.

5/5 spectacular especially the night flight, hats go off to these pilots to do something like that. It's probably another days work for them but to me that is just fascinating, that's something you don't see every day, at least for me.

very tough industry to get into these days, especially considering things like insurance requirements by the operators. For starters, young guys do not have the hours to get onto the fancier a/c. The older smaller a/c are getting fewer as they are replaced by fancy turbines and larger custom operators.
