  • @TheBoxxylol I hope you mean that in a funny way. Hope you are not serious.

  • something to do with wesker and his umbrella...

  • lol nice translate at the river

  • White man asks "how much money you make per day" black man "only 40 cents per load, it's not enough to survive" white man "thank you very much" and he leaves. What a rude man! He makes the man speak about his miserable condition and does not do anything to help him out: He should have give him some money. The poor black man looked intelligent, he spoke excellent, educated French, and looked bright. He must have felt used and wounded that the white man left him like this.

  • @Khamomil Simon Reeves (aka 'White man') was polite and friendly. He did not 'make' the nice old man talk, he simply engaged him in conversation, thereby coincidentally giving the old man an excuse to have a break. I agree the old man seemed intelligent and bright. He said he looked old, I thought he looked amazingly fresh and healthy for 68. I thought how he must have been such a big strong man in his prime to still be so strong now.

  • @Khamomil cond...I sympatise with his plight, true hunger is a dreadful thing: but to be fair to Reeves, just throwing the man some cash would hardly solve his problem. Anyway maybe he did give him a few quid for a meal, but how self-serving would that have looked on the camera.

  • @Khamomil cond...Surely the problem is the people who pay such poor wages to a person who works so hard. If you work hard all day, the very least that one's wages should cover is enough meals for the next day. Thats not Simon's fault, but credit him at least for highlighting the mans plight. No doubt a very many people share that old mans plight, some may be even worse off (e.g. sick and unable to work, etc.), he can't help them all, but creating awareness might lead to help.

  • @Khamomil '6 out of 10 children won't live to see their fifth birthday' - thats horrendus. Thats shocking, even today after years of news documentaries, that statistic still hits home hard.

  • @Khamomil usally they give monney (i know this becuase i seen allot of behind the scenes of these documantar's)

  • @Khamomil How do you know he didn't give him money? Its better to him money away from the camera, at least he'll still have some dignity.

  • @Khamomil Its not his fault that people are paid too small amount of money there, so why he should give that money to him? Or is it just because he is white, you racist?

  • @Khamomil And also throwing money to Africa doesnt help, over 20 years of developing aid (sending money and stuff to Africa), and nothing has changed. Giving that man some money would have changed nothing. Nah, africans have to solve their problem theirselves, outsiders cant do it.

  • @Pvjinflight Whites allow only corrupt persons to rule. The reason aid money doesn't help is bcz it never reaches those who need it, it is stolen by those who are head of the gov agencies or ministries.

Giving that man money would just have made him happier for a short time, but any minute of happiness is precious. He should have given him money bcz he could do it without hurting himself. It's called charity.

  • @Khamomil Maybe he gave it outside video then, from me just interviewing some random people in the streets and then publicly giving him money for that would be just offensive towards people who live in that kind of conditions.

  • @Pvjinflight If he had given the old man money on camera it would have set a good example. There is a way of giving charity without humiliating the person who receives it and without looking like a show-off. It's just a quick reaction to put hand in pocket and take out $. I'm not the only one who thinks Reeves was heartless for not giving the old man any money after learning how desperately poor he is. So it's no use saying "he must have given him off camera" bcz nobody knows for certain.

  • @Khamomil If you dont even know if he didnt give it outside camera you cant call him heartless. And anyway pretty much everyone you see there is desperately poor. Its all about old tribal system that caused civil wars, without it African countries could easily resist foreign corporations stealing resouces. White man is not responsible from all this.

  • @Pvjinflight It is often white man's intelligence agencies that manipulate locals in Africa and everywhere else in the 3rs world to create rifts that lead to civil war. You understand quite well that these internal problems make it easy for the West to steal the resources, do you think it's completely by chance? Of course not! This tactic of warfare is very old, if Lao Tzu didn't invent it, then for sure Julius Caesar used it.

  • Whites can be blamed from placing borders badly hundreds of years ago, and its true that belgians did horrible things in Congo. But still biggest problem is caused by blacks themselves, ancient tribal system causes all of those civil wars which destroy country much more than western companies stealing resources. Without all those civil wars central african countries would be probably much richer places, and foreign companies couldnt steal from them.

  • 0:30 dont fucking speak to him help him out DICK !!!!!!!!

  • Yep this guy was scammed by common people. If he (the reporter) was starving and poor he would of no doubt done the same thing if given half a chance. Most people watching this video would too. And that's a sad reality. Desperation makes a man do desperate things. Anyone from the times of WW1 and 2 would tell you that. Africa urgently needs effective leadership, unification, discipline, true international support, and time to overcome her troubles. Rome wasn't built in a day.

  • 1:58 LOL.... hehehe i luv Africa, and all africans.. no divition... im from east-africa = Somalia

  • Those kids were right...This white man's breath does indeed stink. Why? Because, I am capable of feeding myself. And, it is soooo good. Enjoy your starvation, and disease, Black.

  • @joeblow1983blowjoe

hurrurr, look how tough i am, reacting like a child to children, knee jerk is the way to go

  • @joeblow1983blowjoe dude certain countries never needed to be "civilized"

Congo never needed streetsthe congolese people never needed markets they never had to buy food , they only caught food or grew food in tribal socieies up until King Leopold the great Humanitarian*sigh* made congo to a huge Labor Camp.

  • @Romarinho89

When Mobutu took over in the Congo in 1965, the Congolese currency (the Zaire) was worth 2 US dollars. By the time he was overthrown, one US dollar amounted to more than two million Zaires. Production of copper, cobalt, diamonds, and gold all collapsed under his reign. Mobutu was Congolese, His supporters were Congolese. So, it was the Congolese themselves that screwed up the Congo, not the whites. Please, stop comenting on things you know nothing about.

  • @fshjshshhs yes we blacks are all bad people just free us from our agony please.

  • @joeblow1983blowjoe and didnt you listen the congo could feed all of africa and support most of the continent with energy , actually the same is with Angola .

but the reason why this never happened is cas your great white civilization wont ever let africa be fully independent.

  • @Romarinho89 Independent? If the "white civilization" left africa today africa would disappear. The people who make africa worse are the Warlords, and the pussy UN who don't go in their and scorge the waring factions. If anyone else did the UN would pin them with "crimes against humanity". Same thing they did with Iraq. That is to say, pussy out.

  • @1FutureMarine1 the UN or usa only messes with people who messes with usa........ africa doesnt start trouble westerners...

  • @lifes40123 um vietnam, and korea???

  • @1FutureMarine1 that was because usa hates communism... africa is just a messed up land with lots of war lords and polititians with their own armies fighting each other for countrol...

  • @1FutureMarine1 Lame wars famous because of us movies

  • @joeblow1983blowjoe and at last i have o add that the only man that ever made this country strong was killed .Why? Because , he said" i dont care if i will take the Soviets or the Americans to make my country greater "

just the simple fact that Patrice Lumumba would have used anyones help not just Americas help but anyones help , made him target for the US .

so the US hired his killers .

  • Awesome documentary. This is the type of story that enlightens those who may be able help people like this who really need it.

  • Why don't ou start from your own countries where the people financing this comflict live? Such arrogance from these people that I cannot imagine what to say to you!
