  • Now that I listen carefully, I think Sally might be Kathryn Mullen, though I could very easily be wrong.

  • I still don't know who voices Sally, but I just realized that she also appeared in the song "Daddy Helps with the Dishes". Thanks to that song, we now know that she has a son and works in a factory with her husband.

  • I love how Sesame Street elevated what we often perceive as mere tools or objects to show that they have a story and an importance we don't often recognize. I hope they're continuing to show skits like this on the show today; in a culture that considers everything dispensable, this demonstrates in a really entertaining way that ideas, materials, and objects all come from somewhere and go somewhere extending before and beyond our direct involvement with them. (Yeah, I'm a hippie...and proud!)

  • Frank Lloyd Left sounds like Stitch.

  • For the most part, I think I have the voice cast down, excluding 2102 Shady Lane (not even worth trying to guess who does her voice). Frank Lloyd Left is Martin P. Robinson, Mr. Bricklayer is David Rudman, Mrs. Carpenter is Fran Brill, and Tommy Wilson is Richard Hunt. I'm pretty sure I'm right on all counts there. But what about Sally Wilson? Anyone?

  • I think it's probably Kevin Clash performing the house - he has a deep voice like that.

  • tommy is sooo stuck up LMAAAO

  • how come they dont put guy smiley on anymore? He is much better than that stupid guy they have on now with the australian accent and the big teeth.

  • who's that?

  • Frank Lloyd Left, Ms Carpenter (as in Karen?) - LMAO!!

  • cute back porch? an as joke!!1

  • I remember this used to scare me when i was little; i don't know why.

  • i found the technical blooper...Frank Lloyd Left called 2102(having a more a man pitched voice) he called him a her!

  • 2102 shady lane sound like a geek but dayam the memories geez

  • this skit was "wondeful!" Lol.

  • he is Hidden Infront of 2102 Shady Lane

  • how does 2102 shady Lane Know what Guy Smiley Means

  • I love it..."Frank Lloyd Left"......LOL!

  • Could it be that there was a bricklayer, the house is yellow, and she won a new paint job?

  • LOL..."Frank Lloyd Left"

  • I like 2102's line. "It was a joy being your home." I never heard anyone say something like that before.

  • Another nice episode of "Here is Your Life". When I was younger, it took a while before I actually noticed 2102's eyes. But they're there alright. Would anyone mind telling me who voiced which character in this clip? Also, someone please bring back Oak Tree episode of "Here is Your Life". I was quite disapointed when it was deleted.

  • 2 b honest considering the circumstances, the politically correct thing 2 do would b 2 stop instead of taking advantage of the guest of honor's emotions

  • i remember being confused by this show.

  • architect Frank Lloyd left..haha I get that now that I'm 20.

  • The people that built the house are younger than the people that grew up in the house.

  • Guy Smiley doing his Oscar impersonation. Could be the closest he gets to an Oscar.

  • What's the Glitch?

  • Well, I see something dropping off the eave at 4:16, but I presume that to be a tear. Is it something else?

  • 2 things. 1. i don't recall any of the other guests of honor actually crying. (Oak tree did get choked up but he didn't actually cry.) choked up means almost cried.

and 2. sometime in the near future abc is planning on reviving "this is your life" so if it becomes a hit does any1 think there is a possibility that sesame street might start doing these again?

  • By the way, sorry I post too much. I have a difficult time to post my comment.

  • Thank you so much! I'm giving you a ten! I remember this. The house is a girl? Oh well.

  • I'm giving you a ten. I remember this! I am a fan of Guy Smiley and I was wondering can anyone post a video of Here Is Your Life Loaf of Bread because I haven't seen that.

  • That looks like one of the houses from "The Muppet Show", season 1!

  • Is it? Anyway, thank you very much. I gave you ten.
