  • Orson looks cuter here. xD

  • Waterson had it right! These are moronic comics, not funny and very asinine. I mean really. They are embarrassingly stupid. that's what I think and I'm sticking to it..

  • Imagine this show as a movie

  • @themultiman1000 Yeah! If Blue Sky Studios animate This. Think About it 20th Century Fox Made Two Garfield Movies. Does Everybody has a Dream Voice Cast Besides the Original Voice Cast of the Show?

  • 4:41 Wow. Never seen Orson so ticked off before.

  • Booker looks pissed at 4:35

  • Roy had what's coming to him on 4:29

  • YEAH US ACRES!!!!!

  • I didn't know Orson's Farm was a comic strip until recently. I watched the show and it was good and this strip is good too.

  • Love Garfield, and I love Orson's Farm just as much! Pity it wasn't more popular. Still there are the annuals, the books and the TV shows, that's enough for me :)

  • I love USAcres even more then Garfield. My favorite character has always been that jerk Roy.

  • Do you mean the show or the comic?

  • Oh, originally, the show... When I found out it was a comic, I looked into that as well.

  • hmm I can see why the Calvin and Hobbes author called this an insult to intelligence haha, but I always did hate this when watching the Garfield cartoon growing up

  • If you hate it, why are you here? And it's just in good fun! Sheesh people like you and Calvin and Hobbs creator don't know how to have a light hearted laugh

  • Might I say that the U.S. Acres comic was RADICALLY differnet than the show. So you can't say you like it until you've seen the strip in its entirety. And I like Calvin and Hobbes and Peanuts, whose creators disliked U.S. Acres from the get-go.

  • Hiya, I have most of the original comics of Orson's Farm, and I can safely say I like them :)

  • From which years? From 1988-1989, the strip was really differnt from the show.

  • '86 - '88, I can't get my paws on '89 yet, that's the only set I'm missing

  • In my opinion, I lost my love for Calvin and Hobbes when he did his commentary in the 10th anniversary edition... Calvin was my hero, and his own creator saying he was a jerk killed everything for me... T_T...

Oh, and dissing comic books: What did he think he was DRAWING all that time? Yes, he dissed his own product.

  • Calvin & Hobbes is awesome, but Bill Watterson is a jackass. He claims "U.S. Acres" insults your intelligence, but idolizes "Peanuts" which actually DOES insult your intelligence. "Peanuts" only manages to be slightly less insipid than Bill Keane's heartwarming "Family Circus". In reality "Calvin & Hobbes" has much more in common with "U.S. Acres", but Watterson will never admit this fact due to his dogmatic anti-commercialism, which clashes with Davis who was the all time king of merchandising.

  • I'll have to agree with you on most parts. I do like Peanuts, but lets face it- Peanuts had a pretty big merchendising thing too.

And personally, I think "U.S. Acres" is better then Garfield. It might have been the variate of character personalities, or simply the fact that it was a farm setting which Davis was familer with on a "grew up on" level, but honestly he did cooler things with it during its run. :D I would have liked to have seen Cody and Blue more, though.

  • I have one of those comic books.

  • Me, too!

  • Really, I have ALL FIVE!

  • For evelyn wood grads only.

  • i only read the comics

  • Why are you playing that music?

  • Just something extra.

  • I use to watch US Acres on TV! I still have the DVDs!
