Bachmann YIKES…uhh, I don’t think so! The last thing we need is a crook like Newt or worst yet religious extremists running the show!
got to give this guy credit for making the video and standing up for what he believes in...he's right. The people in DC are not acting in the interest of the country...they have destroyed this country..and it's time for a real change...BUT who do we turn too? It's time for your average Joe to run for Congress en masse!!!
No, you replace the PROBLEM people; you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, and fill Congress with people who don't know what they are doing. Look what happened when the Commies killed all the high ranking military leaders in WWII -- they didn't know what to do when Germany invaded from within, for example. And you don't re-write term limits for Congress just because those of ill intent misused it, and those with no vigilence let us fail.
@tharpdevenport It is not just broken, it has turned into a Marxist pile of crap! It is also turning into Communist dictatorship. Big government grabbing control. It is broken more than you will ever know.
No, I know far well, reading history, and the Federalist Papers amongst that history, how broken it is. But lest you forget, it didn't get there from pure greed, it got there from lack of vilgelance by us -- the American people, from generation to generation, who then became complacent in America's continuance of freedom & liberty, and this mental milaise being passed on to their children and their children's children. Government isn't bettere by newbie's, but US paying mind.
@tharpdevenport Fresh blood is the change we need, not more of the Socialist, Marxist and Communist that hold seats on both sides of the isles. Maybe even some good Christian that have knowledge of what is right and wrong. It has been the lies and misdealing of both side that has stolen this country's wealth jobs and lost ability be an entrepreneur and keep what you earn. Trust of the leadership is gone. Now a cleaning of House and Senate is the best course of action.
@tharpdevenport Trust of the leadership is gone. Now a cleaning of House and Senate is the best course of action. I believe the actions of the current dictatorship will try to crush the will of the people before the next election. They did keep the American people content for the last 40 years so they could sneak in the small changes leading up to the control they have now. They are even trying to use the OWS foolish protest as a reason to declare Marshal law and post pone the elections.
You're not thinking this though. #1: the Left IS NOT going to toss out all their guys; the last thing you want is a crop of conservatives who don't know the system and that they arew being manipulated.
Secondly, you CAN'T toss them all out, EVER. Not every seat is up every election; there are certain years they come up, and by the next time another crop of folk are up for re-election, you'd have to toss the new guys you put in last time and repeat the precess. Unrealistic.
@tharpdevenport You are not getting it. That is the whole thing. The new need to be replaced too. Term limits of one or two terms is best. It was never meant for serving in the government for a lift time job. Less time to become corrupted by others. They should have to go back where they were elected from and live with what they have done. The same laws that apply to us apply to them. You need to go back and read your Federalist Papers. You have overlooked a few things you didn't agree with.
You're not going to run a country effectively with a continous stream of untested, knowledgeless newb's. Further more, there isn't a endless line of do-well conservative's in each district in each state. You have a finite amount of those folks and tossing them out each year runs the well dry, and DISCOURAGES new ones to run. If these folks have such LIMITED experience, that'll show if they ever get into higher office, evne the presidency. I'd like to KEEP Rubio, thanks.
@tharpdevenport In my opinion the country hasn't been run effectively in 40 years. We could gather people off the street or like we pick jurors and do better than the crop of idiots and life long corrupted politicians that we have now. I haven't seen anything that makes Rubio worth keeping.
It's too bad people wont pull together for 'the cause'. Heck we cant even agree to protest the price of gas by not driving a couple days a month. We all agree gas is too high, but we wont stick together to get it lowered.
Thanks for posting this video...sure do wish people would pay attention!!
@Sueski2; We can only try to get the message out to everyone we know and hope people will for once think for themselves, instead of listening to the media and the dishonest snakes in DC.
The only thing this idea would be good for is to send a message to elected officials. But the problem is, those that get voted into office will pass the laws that will prevent it from ever happening again. In other words, this would most likely be the LAST election, ever. And yes, it would be bipatisan. Don't fool yourselves about republicans and democrats being different. It's all a show.
add this to your rant. Lower thier salaries and pensions which attract the wrong type of ppl. Hell, I'd like money for nothing too but my conscience won't let me. I'm with ya..time for REAL change even if it hurts. Replace the ambitious with activists. It's up to US to stop the corporate influence on elections.
I agree with this guy. And I want term limits. One 5 year term for pres. One 2 year term for congress, and one 4 year term for senate. And one 5 year elected term for supreme court. No more lifetime appointment. AND no career politicians: once you've been elected to a national elected office, you are ineligible to run for any other national office, forever.
What do you do when the Council on Foreign Relations "educates" them the day after the oath on how government REALLY works?
I like the sentiment but you must realize that if everybody actually did that, the progs would compensate by challenging incumbents with more progs and the change over you'd have every two years would be just replacing progs with progs.
There is no alternative to simply educating ourselves on good limited govt and the evils of progressivism. It's hard but necessary.
@SuperDachshund; Educating ourselves on good limited government I agree is quite necessary. It's up to us however, to 'educate' the new people we put in office that we as Americans, aim to have them follow the Constitution and govern by it's tenants. Granted it will take a lot of effort on the part of us as Americans to do that, by letters, phone calls, etc.
@richieyo2000; It's our Constitution and the laws of our land that give us the right to do just what I said in the video. If the power hungry snakes in DC would have been governing by the Constitution, we wouldn't be in the mess this country is in now.
@tgreese62 I absolutely agree. I'm pointing out that we already have a vehicle to voice our frustrations and band together on the issue of an oversized bloated government. A spend happy, out of control, law breaking centralized government. I've been a Tea Party activist since the beginning. We were extremely effective in kicking the bums out of the House with a land slide victory in 2010. But since then, I feel the Tea Party has rested on its laurels and it's time to show we mean business.
I had to pause this video to comment on two things so far. 1. Yes, we must band together. We have banded together. It's called the Tea Party. The Tea Party needs to come back to life like it was 2 years ago. It needs to show it's strength against these losers attending these hippy rallies. 2. Yes we need to vote. But vote on principles and values. True American values. Conservative constitutional values to reinstate the constitution and enforce it the way our founding had intended.
I aggre with every thing he says. Those we vote out, will be without a job, but they will still have their $100 thousand plus salary coming in. So it really doesn't hurt them unless they are only in it for the power trip. That part needs to be changed, so that they don't get a cent after they leave office. No pay, no health insurance, no nothing!
ron paul isn't running for re-election. you could very much vote for ron paul for president, because you'd be voting against the incumbent ... dr paul is a congressman, and he isn't seeking to retain that same seat. if he doesn't get the presidential nomination, he will be out in every way.
This sounds great, but it will never work. Why? It won't work because it's based on the faulty assumption that voters all want the same thing, and they'll approve of the same outcomes. What I think is awful is exactly what others want. So, If I continue to vote my guy out because he's not conservative enough for me, and the lib who doesn't join us votes for his guy, my guy loses every time. Those who I least want to run things will have full control. Love the passion. Can't support the plan.
Right ON! I am totally aligned with you. A year ago I got sick and tired of watching this crap unfold on the TV...and yelling at the TV was getting me Zero results...so I started to get involved. I am now active with my local elected officials, letting them know how I feel. I have met with those seeking office on school boards, city councils, water boards etc. I learn what they want to do, tell them what's important to me. You HAVE to be active at the local level.
@sailfished Only problem with that is Ron Paul is in office now so we'd have to kick him out. Maybe the man in the video would be okay with promoting Ron Paul from Congressman to President!. That would work for me. What you think
@ecurbyy I think Ron Paul has made a name for himself as the only politician who the lobbyists don't even waste their time with. His record speaks for itself .
@ecurbyy Congressman Paul is the ONLY person I would be agreeable to keeping in office. Preferably as President, but in lieu of that he can stay as Congressman.
Good message for the most part, but I can think of one man who already does exactly what you want to see happen... Ron Paul. He's the ONLY politician I know of who is 100% constitutional on every single issue, whether it's popular or not. He's the man I'm voting for in 2012 and I encourage you all to do the same.
Using the ballot box to dump these bums and clean up Washington is the way it needs to be done...but...how will you do that when those same bums have completed corrupted and bastardized the election process?
Why do you think the Dems are so dead set against voter ID laws? It would force them to play by the rules.
But as it is now, the process is completely broken.
Obama will be re-elected in 2012 only because they have taken control of the voting process and can do as they please.
Oh how I wish this would happen....unfortunately the two party system is too strong and will not participate in a clean government. Our "no incumbent" vote would just fall into the abyss. I hope your message goes vial and you prove me wrong.
This is exactly what the progs want you to do. They want you to say they are all the same and then they slander their way into getting re-elected themselves. The answer is shock and awe against these alinsky progressives. They are radicals and they are divisive in every way. The answer is shock and awe ! But you do not shock and awe against those who mistakenly thought they did not have the support to do the right things. THAT is OUR fault.
@play2k2000 You think there wouldn't be shock and awe if every single politician were to be kicked out of office? There would be so much shock and awe they would crap their collective drawers. As for the ones you say were mistaken in their thoughts, I can only say if they are that naive and ignorant, they really have no business being in office.
