  • Great catch for MA man!! I got similar problems here in NJ. Still looking for a 6lb fish.

  • Awesome catch! Do you know of any other good spots (i saw u say this is in middleboro) cuz i also live in mass and have had two 5 pounders and a 5 1/2 but never brojen six, and i wanna find a spot that can produce 5 pounders

  • @COliNT42 - I don't live in Mass anymore - we moved to North Carolina in May 2011. Snipatuit Pond in Rochester has some big fish in it. I've caught largemouths up to 4 pounds there, and I was fishing from the bank. If you've got a boat, you can obviously hit more spots. The tough thing with Mass is the lack of public access on alot of places. Assawompsett Pond is HUGE and probably has 10 pounders in it, but it's pretty much off-limits to fishing, except for a small section.

  • you can take pictures and get the measurements to have a replica made. so you dont have to kill your trophy fish. nice bass!

  • catch and release Bass in MA its what i like to see. Keep crappie who cares, throw bluegill in the woods for all i care.. just learn from this guy, catch and release larrys so they can get bigger and caught again people!!! Thats the fun of the sport!

  • hey thats respectable ii know how mass is bc i live here and ive caught only three 5 plus pound bass never a 6 great job

  • why you let the fish go at the end?

  • @SymphonyOfDestruct99 - even though it was my biggest largemouth bass so far, I still didn't feel like it was quite big enough to go on my wall. If/when I catch a 7 pounder, THAT is definitely getting mounted!! In general, I release most of the fish I catch... if I want fish to eat, I'll catch crappies or bluegills.

  • @tony93666 so you just went there for nothing? I mean doesn't it more satisfying if you bring the fish back home? I don't have much fishing experience but it really take some time, i don't want to go home empty handed.

  • @SymphonyOfDestruct99 - I've been fishing for 25+ years - I can't take em all home! hahaha Besides, if I keep em, I only get to catch em once... if I release em, they get to grow even bigger and there's a chance I can catch em again! Figuring em out, that's the fun part. It's like a game of cat and mouse.

  • Looks like black brook.

  • NICE.. Check out my really big bass, just click on my account or put BIG largemouth bass (MIKEY)

  • @carscars20 - wow!!!!! that's HUGE!!! congrats on a fish of a lifetime!

  • That's great. Had some good luck with my custom made poppers and hand poured soft baits. Got some big ones with the poppers. The natural feather trailer works best. Check out the 9 lb.'er on my frog popper vid.

  • hey I live in massachusetts and i was wondoring where that place in located like what town. i just caught a 3 pounder on a crawdad/mightybug from yum you should try them out,but use a bullet weight on it

o and thats a huge bass for Ma

  • @Bassmastacasey - thanks! It was in Middleboro... and the best part - it's only about 5 minutes from my house!

  • @tony93666 thanks ill try to get over their this weekend and find a good place

  • @tony93666 hey sorry but where is the fishing spot near like wat street cause i really want to go and try that place because im 12 and i LOVE to fish its like my life

  • @Bassmastacasey - sorry, I won't tell anyone exactly where it is...

Snipatuit Pond in Rochester has good bass fishing. There's pike in there too...

  • @tony93666 i hate pike thay take my hooks and worms and lures so ill just go where i go every sunday

  • @Bassmastacasey - I wouldn't worry about it - I've only caught one pike there. Mostly, I've caught largemouth, several 2 1/2 and 3 pounders. There's supposed to be smallmouth in there too, but I've never caught one.

  • good job !

  • boring but coold :D

  • @NVNM - thank you!!

  • Yay for spinnerbaits! You definitely need to throw one of those surface frogs (SPRO, Ribbet, Money) around where all that moss is. You might very well top that bass' size. Congrats; very nice.

  • @Winkiedoodles - thanks! oh yeah, I definitely wanna go back there and fish a frog - can you imagine how wild that would be AT NIGHT?! holy crap...

  • @tony93666 Now you're talking! Bring a bright light so you can video that behemoth you haul out of there! Best wishes; hope the mosquitoes aren't too bad up your way.

  • Good going man!
