@leanlifter Most movie downloads cost more than the dvd and more than the blu ray and what do you get for that nothing a dvd or blu ray can go on to a shelf a download is only on a hard drive and if that hard drive fails the you have do download them all again so if you want to pay more money for nothing then that's good for you the only downloads I like is the free ones
The Ion 2 is currently slightly less powerful than the first generation Ion because of the bottleneck of the Intel Atom. However, once proper drivers are released in the future the Ion 2 should out perform its predecessor by a good margin. Let's hope that Nvidia actually fixes this performance issue soon.
i dont understand y everyone wants better and better more expensive video cards on these net books. ...they dont have CD DRIVES!!... u cant play games!!!
@jayrush01 untrue.. most people can move a CD onto a USB drive and install it that way. Another way is to have Steam and buy games to Download on to it.
@jayrush01 CD's and DVD's are outdated technology. slow read/write, takes up a ridiculous amount of space. I hope to see the end of both within the decade, but I doubt that will happen, only because of movies.
please reply to my comment with a link. i would like to read some GOOD review which writes a comparison between this 1201pn and the old 1201n. I can't understand why some websites report world of warcraft with higher framerate for the 1201n.
I know the cpu is not a dual core anymore...but i want to see some game benchmark results. Both for 1201n and 1201pn....so i can read a comparison.
WTF?? The processor is the N450? What happened to putting a dual-core Atom in it (i.e. N330 that is in the 1201N) or better yet, the new D510 dual-core item based on the Pineview architecture? I think Asus just took two steps backward with the processor, but two steps forward with the NVidia Ion 2. Weird decision IMO.

1215N has 1.83 Ghz D525, this had only 1.6 Ghz D330. 1215N is going to be released in two weeks. Do not buy 1201PN

@rogermorsee the 1201n will have a higher overall gaming performance because of its' cpu

@god4488
it would be the n330, which has 4 cpu threads instead of 2 thread on n450

Same here, I really want 7. If they don't include 7 on this one, I may have to settle for the 1201N
PuffinBoy415 2 years ago
Actually I almost prefer XP because of the performance benefits and existing support.
