This was by far the most devestating and hurtfull loss in sports history. The Patriots lost far more than the Giants won. The Giants won a game. The Patriots lost a perfect season. To arrive at 18-0 only to fall in the final minutes of the final game is the most humbling and cruel loss imaginable and it will haunt the 2007 players for the rest of their lives. At 18-0 it would be impossible for anyone on that team not to have believed that 2007 was their season, that they were indefeatable.

Then, this Giants teams, which NO ONE considered among the top 10 teams ever, punched the Patriots in the mouth like only the Ravens had done all season, and beat them straight up! Most overrated team EVER! Parcells was hitting early senility by then. There were Cowboys, Niners, '85 Bears teams that would've beat these guys (w/ their candyass division) down!

I'm willing to admit that you might be right, but the fact is that they did not win and unless a team has a history of losing for a long (See: Red Sox) losing teams are not remembered well outside of their fanbase. Superbowl 42(XLII) will be be remembered and through that people will note how good the Patriots were but the loss in the Super Bowl is all they will be remembered for.

don't care what anyone says, or thinks. the pats showed something no team has ever shown, and that was consistant dominance. even though we lost the superbowl, we were the greatest team that year. and for all the haters, we had 18 wins that year. don't think any other team came close..

For a rebuilding team, this was a much more successful season than anyone would have excpected. And I'm not so butthurt over the SB loss. Even though it was against a New York team. Firstly, I'd been through one before. Also, it could be worse; we could have been like the 1998 Vikings or the San Diego Chargers throughout history. lololol We still have rings soo no skin off my ass. We're still very capable this year of winning another championship.

I'll never forget Parcells saying NONE of the greatest teams in history would beat the "unbeatable", "GOAT" Patriots team. Then, this Giants teams, which NO ONE considered among the top 10 teams ever, punched the Patriots in the mouth like only the Ravens had done all season, and beat them straight up! Most overrated team EVER! Parcells was hitting early senility by then. There were Cowboys, Niners, '85 Bears teams that would've beat these guys (w/ their candyass division) down!

The New England Patriots played 19 games in 2007, and out of those 19 games, they had 1 bad performance. They scored 589 points (36.8 PPG) and they had one of the best defenses in the league to boot. They destroyed teams that year, and they showed just how deadly they were. They are still one of the greatest teams in NFL history. Great video, thanks for posting this.

Don't get why they got so much flak for "spygate"... Teams usually have someone watching and writing down the signals of opponents (hence why the change so often), it was simply a mechanism of greater convenience.

For you Dolphin fans, the patriots were the closests ever to be perfect, we went through 19 games, won 18. I'm willing to admit that you might be right, but the fact is that they did not win and unless a team has a history of losing for a long (See: Red Sox) losing teams are not remembered well outside of their fanbase. Superbowl 42(XLII) will be be remembered and through that people will note how good the Patriots were but the loss in the Super Bowl is all they will be remembered for.

NO, the soviet union had the best team, usa got lucky and while playing their hearts out won by one goal to advance to the gold round. The vagiants was a loser team who came in with nothing to lose and beat a team with everything to lose

@emantabrizi and that is what happened. the 07-08 patriots were statistically the best team ever assembled, and you take that away from them by pointing out that they lost the superbowl when they were clearly better than the team they lost to. the patriots played a bad game and while the vagiants played their hearts out could only win by 3.. flipped around the pats had that game by 20+, you obviously know nothing about this sort of thing

@RayLewis2346 I find it pretty funny that people claim that these Pats were the best team ever when they didnt even win the biggest game. They are probably the greatest team not to win a SB but thats it. If you are going to go 18-1, then lose one in the regular season and sweep the playoffs. Thats the way to go. Because of their huge loss in the SB, no way I would take the 07 Pats over the 80s niners, 90s cowboys, 70s steelers and raiders or the 85 bears just to name a few
