hey guys, if your a musician and care about finding the perfect guitar and want some tips on turning any guitar into a great guitar then please check out my new blog(link below)
The whole song is pretty much improvised. I wrote the song in a studio in a couple of hours by piecing together chunks of riffs I noodled together then I did some harmonies over them. Lots of fun but not the most musical as far as having a hook!
Awsome playing! I love this style of lead. I typically study alot of this 80's shred style but what I have the most difficulty with is getting that awsome tone. Any advice?
@guitarfish56 Awesome, those are exactly the same influences I have! Would you take some time to look at my channel, and give me some tips for shredding like that? Your awesome at playing bro, Well done.
you can always tell an ibanez by its sound ive noticed most ibanez guitars have tht trebely nice sound to them , i know many ppl might disagree with me , but no matter how u you set your equalization , an ibanez guitar will always give you that squel ! \m/
If you can't hear the classical bits, you're deaf. It's not 100% neo-classical, but you can definitely hear it in a lot of parts. Especially the tapping licks.
@darkwolf291 cool, he knows weaving licks, but the main thing I consider constant in neoclassical is the melodicism and tonal coloring similar to classical. I have no doubt he can play neo classical, but this just sounds like he's improvising over a series of metal chord changes. I can't describe the difference to someone who doesn't listen to or play as much classical as I do, but this is just not over-the-top enough.
I play some classical. Not a whole lot, but enough, but I listen to classical avidly. To me, it's more Randy Rhoads style. A mixing of usual metal and neo-classical stylings. Some parts are neoclassical, some aren't. I agree, it's not 100% classical, but there is definitely classical in it. Regardless of what label we put on it, it's very melodic and very good.
@Ihatemyusernamemore i kinda like marty friedman and jason becker better, especially their cacophony stuff, but yeah anything neo-classical satisfies me!

He looks like he is about to mow the lawn. What happened to the ripped T-Shirt, ripped skin tight jeans, super long hair, boots, pierced left ear and gobs of silver jewelry?
But the man can still shred. Like many a dometicated urban Tarzan fom the 80's, you can take the shredder out of the 80's, but you can't take the 80's out of the shredder.
@DimebagFromHell1 i play the newer metal how ever will never leave 80's metal out cuz i love soloing DimeBag,Kirk hammet, Santana are my guys, ywngwie malmsteen, andreas Kisser, Jeff waters, zakk wylde, and many more i like these guys but i also ad a touch of paco de lucia and jose feliciano check them out they are amazing i have classical guitar influences aswell so i got a diverse style and very proud of it cheers brother oh PS. i suck at sweeping i need tons of practice , so far basic
For Neo-Classical songs, I'm always rooting to have the know how to make the rhythm to create such 'dark' elements, playing the solo with the backing track is hard sure, but creating one is even harder. :p

Bloody awesome playing dude! You can really shred! Like, Sub and a favourite :D I was wondering if anyone could help me though?
