Pretty on the inside didnt do that well, then live through this came out about 3 yrs later, which was more of a success. If you meet someone famous, and they too are in the the rock scene, it helps. Celebrity skin was a bad album with many "fillers" on it. sonic youth helped break nirvana onto the mainstream by giving them live slots on their own tours. nirvana helped hole. Its that simple!
