@hvuu Because he is using a Glock. It is a striker fired pistol. Triggers on traditional hammer designs (Beretta, SIG, 1911s) can be dry fired repeatedly without racking the slide. The slide must cycle back on the striker in order for the trigger to reset and fire again. In essence, he is mimicking live fire operation. I have a Glock 22 myself. I must do this when I dry fire practice. Hope this answers your question! :)
works better if you take a step forward or backward,like throwing baseball.Gives me quicker more accurate groups.mike

you have to when the pistol empty. You wouldn't have to if it was a doulble action pistol.
