My raid just started attempting Beth. My raid leader went into the fight sending a few dps up the web with myself (skilled healer!) and the tank, because of other guides he had read that put dps up there. After wiping several times, I switch places with a ground team healer and I start taunting down spinners. Everyone realizes that is a good thing. Second raid day we go in there, I suggest we put just the tank and myself up there and we one shot her :0

Because they changed mana regen mechanics for Shamans such that chain heal crits return mana in 4.2. It's easier to spam it now and burn less mana than it was before 4.2.

On 10 man, you use 3 Healers, 2 Tanks & 5 DPS - To avoid dying in the last phase, you send 1 DPS up top on the first "Devistation" to widdle off about 1.5 - 2 Mil damage & use the exact same strat Jesse is talking about here and you Bloodlust, Time Warp, etc at 8-10 Million. all 3 of our Healers where pulling 13-22k & our DPS was pulling roughly 16-24k ( I was 22k as Disc Priest! :D )

I was soloing the spiderlings as a survival hunter and a DK up top with the MT and a healer for some damage before P2. Wich means we had 3 dps on the Spinners and Drone. It went really well. :)

@OMFGcata My group did it on 10m with 3 healers and 5 dps this week, didn't seem to have too many problems. Just save lust for burn phase and assuming everyone knows their stuff, should be fine. We were even running with a demo lock and BM hunter which are far from ideal, so it's definitely doable.

@OMFGcata Our guild did it with 3 healers in 10 man. Frost Death Knight spamming Howling Blast with a Hunter every now and then shooting Multi-shot and you'll be golden.

@OMFGcata Well it is possible, we did it, but we did send 1 DPS up to her, but only once, at the start, and for the 2nd and 3rd devastates we had all DPS at the bottom. We had 1 DPS on killing spinners, 2 for spiderlings, and 2 for drones. Beth'tilac was at 85% when she hit phase 2. Anything higher though, will end in a wipe, as you said.

These dps-race burn phases always seem much easier to me on 25man than on 10man. I think he also mentioned that the spiderlings spawn from the 4 corners in 25 man, where in 10man it's simply randomly 1 spot. So you don't have a couple dedicated kill teams.

Hey jesse, For the team up top wouldn't a warlock in demonology be sufficient? we have abilities to heal our demons(the tank) by taking some of our own, and can use a life drain ability to raise our health by taking the boss. so we have a tank, and a healer that also can do damage. plus the demon is expendable and with soul burn we have 3 tries to keep the tank alive.

@sadabetas The boss hits was hitting our blood DeathKnight tank for 50k. The pet will not survive and is not worth risking unless your group is so strapped on DPS that you need the healer and tank spot replaced. If you are resorting to this you likely won't be able to kill the other bosses in here though so I would consider a less risky strategy.

@LifeHasLived Yup we were able to do it no problem with 3 tanks and 7 healers. Any 25 man group not running with mostly 372s should definitely bring less healers and more dps, or attempt to put your best single target dps up top to help burn the boss.

@LifeHasLived The fight does not require any specific composition. Ranged COULD help for quicker aoe of the adds and switching from the drone, but melee can do the job just fine.

Simply assign a dps to each set of the spiderlings to get them down and then burn the drone! Melee or ranged can do this equally as well, provided they are skilled and experienced players, which sounds like it may be more of the issue you are having.

@kingpolo555 The fights are a bit easier but I guarantee you our gear is what is moving us through it so quick. We have the best gear available pre-firelands so I'm not sure what gear you would think we would need but if they didn't make it so you could do it in 359's a lot of guilds would be in quite a pinch for the enrage timers. If you think its so easy go put a group together yourself and you will see it requires a bit more effort then you think.

This strategy is rather gear dependent, so keep that in mind if you're going to be attempting it. You'll likely need healers and DPS that are in at least a decent amount of 372+ gear to kill her before her AoE oneshots half the raid. She was getting close to that on our kill, she had 22 stacks of Frenzy, which is not pleasant.
