  • so beautiful, I love this..

..wide awake, would fade away..in the.garden..just you, me..I love you Bono, I love U2

  • Woah, thanks for the quick response! How did you know that?

  • Does anyone know what Bono means by "dug pants" (I think that's what he's saying, but I can't tell for sure)? He says it at 1:35 and again at 6:14.

  • @garbagecollector10 he's saying Guc Pants, which was Andy Rowen's nickname

  • i was there

  • Better Late Than Never! Oh right, Time is an allusion!

    ;D

  • That part in the beginning where the guy was yelling "Yes, Right here" was hilarious

  • hmm, I guess that would mean I met him (Andy Rowen) - in fact he was responsible for telling me where the "secret" studio was in Dublin.

  • At first it sounds like Bono's voice isn't going to be up for any of the high notes, but he really came through, actually turned out to be a really good version...nothing like it was in 1984, but still a gem of a song. U2 should get back to writing songs like this. Nothing fancy. 2 chords repeating, very minimal; just rely on a great hook from Edge, powerful lyrics, and Larry & Adam thumping away in the back. Sometimes less is more. When U2 keeps it simple, it often ends up being most profound.

  • @mikezazworsky Yes his voice was more powerful back then. Give the guy a break; Bono is over 50 years old, he has been performing more then 30 years and during each of those those performances he gives it his all. It is only natural that his voice changed. He can still sing it like he did in 1984, he just doesn't do it that often anymore

  • @brainwavezzz Yes! AND don't forget that this is the second to last show on a tour that lasted 2 YEARS and 1 month AND he had already been belting them out for 2 1/2 hours by that point in the show. Nuff said...

  • @mikezazworsky well written! agree wholeheartedly!

  • LOL the guy at 0:13-0:17 that would have DEFINITELY been me had i been there! TOP of my bucket list! awesome, awesome performance!

  • jaysus, Bono's voice is f*cked

  • BAD is such an incredible song and to hear it live is AMAZING..

  • my all time fave u2 song...such a memorable experience to see it performed live! we were actually starting to leave the stadium so we could catch our boat back when i heard the begining of this , i stopped in my tracks and went back (in a trance) to watch this, my hubby was telling me that we were going to get stuck in all the people and miss our boat. I told him bono is singing bad and if you make me leave i will throw a tantrum like a 2 year old and you will have to carry me out. LOL

  • @SuperDolphin38 one of the best comments ever! :)

  • @bworei thanks...its all true, and happy to report i got to finish watching them perform Bad like a respectable adult...um minus the screaming Bono I love you. plus we made to the boat in plenty of time.

  • Bono grew up on Cedarwood Rd ...in Dublin lol

  • was waiting for Larry to smash into the drum outro of 40, maybe on saturday.

  • This was the show I was hoping for in Philly, the song Bad for me is a chill inducer

  • Saw them perform Bad in Chicago in 2009--had no idea how lucky I was to hear it. I'll have to remain satisfied with Stay, Zooropa, and I Will Follow in East Lansing. At least until the next tour, which can't come fast enough.

  • awesome concert best ever

  • it's written for Andy Rowen, the boy on the cover of Boy

  • @greydogblues -- actually, Andy Rowen is the brother of the boy on the cover of BOY (and WAR), whose name is Peter Rowen.

  • @atu2 thank you - i knew i'd screw that up!!

  • Does anyone know who this song is written for?!! Who lived on cedar wood rd? Bono never says...

  • I love BAD !!!! \o/

    Is wonderful !!!!!!

  • I nearly lost my marbles....I knew when they huddled up we were in for it. I was shaking - awe inspiring shit. Many, many people in the audience were crying (Me being one of them)

  • @dhazard I am INSANELY jealous! I have seen so many shows, but no Bad. THE top of my bucket list. You are one blessed son of a gun!

  • awesome ,speechless saw them in philly 2 weeks ago, loved it so much I followed them to pittsburg, damn glad I did this was one song they hardly ever do, what a treat so much so I had a good cry this song means alot at points in my life so thanks to the post,God AND U2 for being the gods of rock! Good bye Pittsburg!! My son and I will never forget this beutiful city.

  • 360 got great surprises.

  • LOL Go Giant Eagle!

  • Bad has always been one of the best live-songs... amazing.

  • That was U2 in the US

  • I think there must be something special about Heinz Field!!! This was like,, maybe,, the best and last concert of their 360 tour~amazing.

  • I walked down and bought a ticked from a scalper for $5. Then I went in the wrong entrance and the kid didn't properly check my ticket and I got to go on the lawn. Then in the crowd girl came up and started dancing next to me during this. She said that she was so happy. And after a couple songs she gave me a VIP pass, and her friend said use it and I'll get a front row spot. To that really happy girl...You are awesome and thanks!

  • What a run this tour has had.....records broken, each corner of the globe covered, and to end the US leg like this is a treat like no other. Hope they put this concert on DVD. People of Pittsburgh should feel blessed to have seen this live. Thanks for posting and making my day.

  • @geoffgreen514 Oh believe me us pittsburghers feel truly blessed to be apart of such an amazing event, it will always be one of my fondest memories. Even my husband who likes and respects them but only knows theyre songs from being around me. was telling everyone that it was the best concert he has ever been to and how incredible it was. your right a dvd would be such an awesome idea

  • And at this moment, I fell apart. It was a perfect song to end a perfect show. So glad I got to take an evening and commune in the Temple of U2.

  • I was there last night! It was amazing!!!

  • Bono seems winded, like he can barely get the words out. Went to the Meadowlands show. He was so exhausted and about to pass out during most of the show, often skipping words just so he could catch his breath

  • @Richk23U2 If you've been outside it's been hot.

  • bonga0711, i would have sung my ass off, i promise. i flew to MN on Sat, back on Sun from SF and in the pouring rain that show was fantastic. Bad/40 my two favorites - i would have sung, danced, hugged everyone around me and probably teared up as i am doing now... thank you very much for this post.

  • Amazing!!! It was so much! I don't think I ever had sooo much fun at a concert! #U2360PIT

Thanks for sharing this! This is from a much better vantage point than I saw last night!

  • ...great...

  • Incredible show. 3rd time seeing them and always amazing.

  • i KNEW I should have gone to the show on my birthday. dammit!

  • Omg. Why are the american audience allways so dead and borring? Why dont you guys try to sing maybe just a little bit and go crazy like we do in europe.. Come on!

  • @bonga0711 Well said. I was at Croke, Hampden (the good old Hampden roar) and Paris and boy did we go crazy :)

  • Amazing.... :)

  • I'm still trying to come back to earth after that show. That was freakin wild!

  • <3 beautifull thanks U2 FOREVER
