The thing is, you need to talk to young boys about female beauty before the beauty industry does as well. They are just as influenced on what to admire, which indirectly influence girls on how to look.
Unilever is the most hypocrite company of all. In their Axe - commercials they promote the same sexist view on women they pretend to critisize here. Just target group marketing.
So please talk to your daughters about this, too.
@iweweewg thankyou for this comment. Dove has done wonderful things with ads like this, but then i found out they are all the same company as AXE?! disgusted me. it's a crying shame.
i mean, just the other day, I saw this ad for pills for 'bigger breasts' with this japanese girl with a skimpy strawberry suit, winking at the camera. I mean like..WTF?
I think..the first time i watched this (being a girl) i almost cried. Becuz this is EXACTLY what goes on in alot of our minds. Becuz the industry says-
Look young
skinny
Dance like a slut
have big boobs
small ass
Look gorgouse
To all the females out there. Unite and show them we are all beautiful <3
@Limezor Very true. Everyone does. This vid can apply to everyone, though since it shows females, it's understandable that it speaks especially to women.
@Snuskigaste Fuck you. By reading your comment, I can tell you are a typical ignorant user of the internet who's life is surrounded by infinite sluttiness and whores. You know, It's people like you who poison the minds of children telling them to go to strip clubs and be a whore and all that BULLSHIT. Whenever I see comments saying, "Tits or GTFO", "Ur fat and ugly" or "The virginity is strong" I feel like throwing the computer and a stripper or supermodel. OK?
You are the ignorant one here, if you can't even see that the society you live in have sub-requirements in order to gain certain privilege. I recommend you find another one or start a new one.
If you want something you have to earn it, nothing is free.
Second, I would really like to see some evidence by your claim that I promote prostitution/"sluts" and stripping.
Also it seems like you've been living in either a internet bubble or a stone.Since internet isn't serious
Internet has never been about people go around being emotional, political correct and moralistic. No, it's about information.
Get used to it or quit.
Then about children, you know that children isn't as "innocent" after the first tour of it?
Since they are more curious about the world than you ever will be, it is almost a violation of their human rights not to be able to either get information or watch whatever they want (which isn't illegal that is).
@KLo1134 And while I don't recommend parents to let their children watch hardcore porn at a early age, it is the child's right to see it whenever the CHILD "feels" ready for it.
Since they will discover it sooner or later.
But hey let's instead live in your little bubble instead where being sarcastic and saying mean things to other people shouldn't exist and instead just become more like a crybaby.

@iweweewg true, it is target group marketing, but this doesn't make the commercial less meaningful.

Girls aren't the only ones who get blasted with high social expectations.

Alright...
Let's see:
Look young - Certainly, your will most unlikely like to be with you if you look like grandma/isn't fresh
Skinny - Again, shows us that you are concern about your body and that you are a person that can focus on an subject
Dance like a slut - Well to be honest most people doesn't learn how to dance.
have big boobs - Duh, how else will anyone know if you are good at breast feeding?
Look gorgeous (not gorgouse) - pretty self explanatory.
