Theres plenty of stories bro. Do you even watch ROH? Theyre not huge and epic like WWE because thats not possible. Theyre a much smaller company, but they have stories just the same.
ROH has storylines but they're more deep-seeded like it used to be back in the day. It's not WWE or TNA where you're bitter rivals one month and allies the next.

ROH is so disjointed. There's no rhyme or reason to the promotion. It serves the needs of the original ECW fans left for dead after 2001 and that's about it. As a fan it can be frustrating, because you have no clue what direction they're going in. Hopefully this is a sign of progress being made, but If this ppv bombs it could signal the end for ROH, especially with WWE looking at and signing away their major stars.
Because it's basically been the same product for the last 3 years. The tv deal was big news at the time, but HDnet was a bad choice in hindsight. I would've held out out for a bigger network with a wider distribution across more cable systems. I just figured ROH would've made much more progress by now is all.
i just started watching ROH about a month ago, i have been highly impressed by some of the matches ive seen, even though it was hard to watch a match with grizzly redwood.... hes ok but just goofy. i might check this out, i hear a lot of great stuff of these big shows roh does. austin aries vs. tyler black is the one id want to see the most.

On a side note, Chris Hero is actually starting to look like a legit professional wrestler. He's finally gotten rid of being to lanky, goofy 100-cravates guy who's never seen the sun.
He's looking athletic now, finally, along with developing a BEAUTIFUL finish, with that Death Blow, in addition to still being a solid promo guy.
Let him develop a coherent and effective ring style, ala Nigel's transformation, and the man is bound for WWE or TNA, with good chance to succeed.

The one thing that I find absolutely hilarious is that the character that Aires is being hailed for, now in ROH, is the same 'sports entertainer' THE Austin Starr that he was playing when he was being positioned to be the next guy to carry the X-division after the Big 3.
One of these days he's going to realize that TNA actually had pretty major plans for him, and he spited all of that, just because TNA suspended him for missing a PPV to work a show for another promotion, a situation that they warned him about.

true hart dynasty didn't look the greatest on raw it seemed like they only had the match so dx could look good since they lost to cena and the match was more focused on the chris jericho interuption and annouced TLC than the whole match. but i do belive jerishow will retain becuz wwe wants jericho on both shows and shawn micheals can't be on smackdown because they tape on tuesdays(SD)and shawn has church on wednesday. i doubt the'll get buried in texas DX has been kinda nice this year

Honestly? IMO, the big Hogan feud is looking to be Hogan vs. Foley, with a possible follow-up feud of Hogan vs. Samoa JOE, heading into a BFG matchup of Hogan vs. Jarrett. You keep Hogan with 3 big key matchups, while even possibly giving Lethal's angle a bit of a rub, without Hogan getting anywhere near the TNA championship.
You get the 'sizzle' of having Hulk Hogan in your promotion, without messing with the 'steak' of AJ, Angle, Wolfe, Daniels, Beer Money, Morgan, etc.

you name beer money, morgan, wolfe, daniels and AJ as if they have been handled well and mean something. Hogan jarrett will not draw, no one has ever nor will ever give a toss about jarrett. Samoe Joe needs to be built up now if they are gonna do a BFg match up which I see most likely, they need to build a strong heel which they do not have, but regardless of all the hypathetical talk and discussion we must remember russo doesn't know how to build fueds or angles so it won't happen either way.
Beer Money Inc, after being two guys stuck in the midcard/upper midcard, have cemented themselves as TNA's main event tag team; not nearly a 'bulletproof' tag team yet, but stronger than about any team in the world not named DX.
Wolfe was given the chance to debut with the rocket strapped to his ass, being allowed to look like an absolute monster.
Morgan's definitely been cooled of a bit; still he's a solid upper midcard threat now.
Daniels will be in back to back main event matches!

beer money are two guys in their early - almost mid 30's who deserve and have the talent and should be pushed and from a business stand point from getting the most out of them in years to come they need to do it now rather than shove them in a team and see what happenes. Beer Money will never draw money, it is a comedy gimik. Wolfeis a total unknown, and being in main event matches 2 times don't make you a main eventer, it takes a long time to get over, Years. He used to be over, pre russo.
Beer Money, as a unit, are more popular, IMO, than they ever were as separate workers. Yeah the 'goofy drunk' and 'tight-ass money manager' are played for fun; still, to wash all that away and call Beer Money a comedy act does a major disservice to the work that these guys have actually been able to produce. Santino Marella they are not.
And if merch sales are any kind of guide, Beer Money are already drawing some serious money for TNA.
With Wolfe TNA has, so far, done near everything they could do to make him look like a legit threat, so their doing their part; if the fans reject Wolfe, it won't be as a result of TNA not trying hard enough.
And Daniels is actually being given the chance to be used in a top feud. Even though this feud is probably a short-term fix, on the path to the eventual Angle showdown in April, TNA is showing that they feel Daniels can bring some serious stuff to the table.

you cant just pretend the last 3 years didnt happen. TNA told us that we shouldnt care about daniels and that he was a jobber lower card worker, now within a month they tell us he is better than the champion? it wont draw. With wolfe his first match was on ppv against the biggest star within 4 weeks of his debut as an unknown. Laughable booking. He is at the pinicle now and he means nothing, the only way to go is down and he will become less interesting and more irrelevant because of the booking
Daniels, when he 'left' TNA, was, at best, a midcard threat, yes; having already done all he could do in the X-Division, without seeming to have a foothold with the top of the card.
Still, the character was written off of TV, without the want or need to complete bury the guy.
Two years later, TNA treats Daniels' 'return' to the company as a pretty big deal and, outside of the 'Who is Suicide' stuff, have kept him working with upper midcard and main event talent. not bad if i do say so myself?
Wolfe, in 4 weeks, has been booked to look like a 'top of the card' threat, and a heel no less.
Wolfe vs. Angle still has a bit to go, Wolfe vs. AJ is on the table, and Wolfe vs. Morgan or Wolfe vs. Hernandez would be seen as solid upper midcard feuds.
If TNA were gutsy enough they could even think about doing Wolfe vs. Dinero, and have the guy, only one month in the company, elevate a guy up the cards.
There's enough there to keep Wolfe relatively near the top for some time.
With most of TNA's fans remembering AJ vs Daniels last feud in 2005, just another PPV match between them two will draw. People buy for matches, that is all. I don't care about the build, I care to see a good match. As for Nigel, a lengthy feud with Angle makes him look strong. Then falling back into The World Elite can continue his push. Or a run for the title. Since he is the heel, all he has to do is get booed. Not cheered. Have him face an over Styles, will keep him moving.
And the added effect of AJ and Daniels being best friends, with Daniels turning on AJ, adds an additional layer to the match-up, beyond the memories of ho good their prior match-ups have been.
That's the beauty of good professional wrestling; the ability to draw people into this quasi-sporting event, with an emotional connection to the people who wrestle and a desire to see your favorite win.
And AJ has finally taken his mantle as TNA's champion, knocking off Sting, emerging victorious in a rehash of arguably the best match in TNA's history, and lining up a showdown against Kurt Angle, pitting two of the world's best wrestlers against one another. What are you talking about?
On another note, all this talk about 'Daniels pre-2005, AJ pre-2005, JOE pre-2005 were all good enough to carry TNA' is beyond silly.
With AJ, from about the time his NWA title feud with Raven was over, the in-ring 'chops' to carry TNA were there; only problem was that the promo wasn't. It took all the way through his work with Christian and Angle, for him to get comfortable promoing, and once that was done, the re-push of AJ began
JOE, for all the talk on here of him supposing to be in the main event of BFG 2006 and taking the belt from Jarrett, was still the definition of a 'mastodan', getting the meteoric monster push only to have it fizzle out with the first defeat.
JOE gets the belt from Jarrett in October 2006, and he'd probably drop the belt back to Jarrett before the year 2006 was out. In case people forgot, that was how the "Planet Jarrett" faze of TNA was going. Nothing new.

Angle vs AJ already happened 47 times in gimik matches within 3 months, i think they actualy had more matches than impacts. So that is a ridiculous storyline and won't draw. AJ hasn't mentioned sting or his win, forgets he beat angle more than angle beat him in their 57 collisions and has looked weaker and weaker as the months go on. AJ is used like a boy although hes been in the business longer than angle, but then again he isnt ex wwe. Hernandez is as old as D Von
The fact of the matter is that AJ vs Angle is a story that TNA has been telling for near two years now, and they have clashed on many occasions.
Whenever Angle and AJ have crossed paths, similar to New Japan's feud with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shinsuke Nakamura, it has been at times that have made sense in their story. Whether it be a mistaken slight, chasing the belt, or MEM/Frontline, it makes sense when they cross.
AJ vs. Angle, which TNA seems to be setting up for some time in early 2010, at the latest for Lockdown in April, is a match-up that makes sense, and as much as it's already been done, is the right match-up for TNA to make.

I couldn't dissagree more, angle vs aj fueded over karren angle and angles gold medal, directly aftrer teh fued aj would turn serious babyface and start spewing trash about being a married man with kids trying to make a living.
In a spoof wedding on Impact, the pastor, that was brought in, made a mistake and 'married' AJ and Karen Angle. AJ and Karen played it for laughs, complete with a mock honeymoon, where no one even tried to see it as being serious, and Kurt flipped out.
Goofy heel AJ Styles was attacked by Kurt, and the AJ Styles, that everyone new and loved, returned to get revenge on Kurt, for beating him down.
AJ/Angle, 'over Karen Angle', only happened because of a misunderstanding, on Angle's part, that ended up blowing out of proportion.
If you actually watched the story progress, you would've seen that Karen actually had little to do with the actual feud, but then again it appears, when it comes to TNA, the facts don't matter to you.

I'm sorry but I really dont like these sorts of comments "if have internet access and you are still not interested in this ROH PPV then you aren't a wrestling fan". I happen to be about as big a wrestling fan as any, and to be honest, I'm not excited about it. I could watch it, but I will wait until Joshua reviews it before I consider giving over a few hours of my life for it. It's not like dedication to the ROH product is some kind of measure for one's status as a wrestling fan.

ROH is so disjointed. There's no rhyme or reason to the promotion. It serves the needs of the original ECW fans left for dead after 2001 and that's about it. As a fan it can be frustrating, because you have no clue what direction they're going in. Hopefully this is a sign of progress being made, but If this ppv bombs it could signal the end for ROH, especially with WWE looking at and signing away their major stars.

Because it's basically been the same product for the last 3 years. The tv deal was big news at the time, but HDnet was a bad choice in hindsight. I would've held out out for a bigger network with a wider distribution across more cable systems. I just figured ROH would've made much more progress by now is all.

i just started watching ROH about a month ago, i have been highly impressed by some of the matches ive seen, even though it was hard to watch a match with grizzly redwood.... hes ok but just goofy. i might check this out, i hear a lot of great stuff of these big shows roh does. austin aries vs. tyler black is the one id want to see the most.

On a side note, Chris Hero is actually starting to look like a legit professional wrestler. He's finally gotten rid of being to lanky, goofy 100-cravates guy who's never seen the sun.
He's looking athletic now, finally, along with developing a BEAUTIFUL finish, with that Death Blow, in addition to still being a solid promo guy.
Let him develop a coherent and effective ring style, ala Nigel's transformation, and the man is bound for WWE or TNA, with good chance to succeed.

The one thing that I find absolutely hilarious is that the character that Aires is being hailed for, now in ROH, is the same 'sports entertainer' THE Austin Starr that he was playing when he was being positioned to be the next guy to carry the X-division after the Big 3.

true hart dynasty didn't look the greatest on raw it seemed like they only had the match so dx could look good since they lost to cena and the match was more focused on the chris jericho interuption and annouced TLC than the whole match. but i do belive jerishow will retain becuz wwe wants jericho on both shows and shawn micheals can't be on smackdown because they tape on tuesdays(SD)and shawn has church on wednesday. i doubt the'll get buried in texas DX has been kinda nice this year

Honestly? IMO, the big Hogan feud is looking to be Hogan vs. Foley, with a possible follow-up feud of Hogan vs. Samoa JOE, heading into a BFG matchup of Hogan vs. Jarrett. You keep Hogan with 3 big key matchups, while even possibly giving Lethal's angle a bit of a rub, without Hogan getting anywhere near the TNA championship.
You get the 'sizzle' of having Hulk Hogan in your promotion, without messing with the 'steak' of AJ, Angle, Wolfe, Daniels, Beer Money, Morgan, etc.

Beer Money Inc, after being two guys stuck in the midcard/upper midcard, have cemented themselves as TNA's main event tag team; not nearly a 'bulletproof' tag team yet, but stronger than about any team in the world not named DX.
Wolfe was given the chance to debut with the rocket strapped to his ass, being allowed to look like an absolute monster.
Morgan's definitely been cooled of a bit; still he's a solid upper midcard threat now.
Daniels will be in back to back main event matches!

Beer Money, as a unit, are more popular, IMO, than they ever were as separate workers. Yeah the 'goofy drunk' and 'tight-ass money manager' are played for fun; still, to wash all that away and call Beer Money a comedy act does a major disservice to the work that these guys have actually been able to produce. And if merch sales are any kind of guide, Beer Money are already drawing some serious money for TNA.

With Wolfe TNA has, so far, done near everything they could do to make him look like a legit threat, so their doing their part; if the fans reject Wolfe, it won't be as a result of TNA not trying hard enough.
And Daniels is actually being given the chance to be used in a top feud. Even though this feud is probably a short-term fix, on the path to the eventual Angle showdown in April, TNA is showing that they feel Daniels can bring some serious stuff to the table.

TNA told us that we shouldnt care about daniels and that he was a jobber lower card worker, now within a month they tell us he is better than the champion? it wont draw. With wolfe his first match was on ppv against the biggest star within 4 weeks of his debut as an unknown. Laughable booking. He is at the pinicle now and he means nothing, the only way to go is down and he will become less interesting and more irrelevant because of the booking

Daniels, when he 'left' TNA, was, at best, a midcard threat, yes; having already done all he could do in the X-Division, without seeming to have a foothold with the top of the card.
Still, the character was written off of TV, without the want or need to complete bury the guy.
Two years later, TNA treats Daniels' 'return' to the company as a pretty big deal and, outside of the 'Who is Suicide' stuff, have kept him working with upper midcard and main event talent. not bad if i do say so myself?

Wolfe, in 4 weeks, has been booked to look like a 'top of the card' threat, and a heel no less.
Wolfe vs. Angle still has a bit to go, Wolfe vs. AJ is on the table, and Wolfe vs. Morgan or Wolfe vs. Hernandez would be seen as solid upper midcard feuds.
If TNA were gutsy enough they could even think about doing Wolfe vs. Dinero, and have the guy, only one month in the company, elevate a guy up the cards.
There's enough there to keep Wolfe relatively near the top for some time.

With most of TNA's fans remembering AJ vs Daniels last feud in 2005, just another PPV match between them two will draw. People buy for matches, that is all. I don't care about the build, I care to see a good match. As for Nigel, a lengthy feud with Angle makes him look strong. Then falling back into The World Elite can continue his push. Or a run for the title. Since he is the heel, all he has to do is get booed. Not cheered. Have him face an over Styles, will keep him moving.

That's the beauty of good professional wrestling; the ability to draw people into this quasi-sporting event, with an emotional connection to the people who wrestle and a desire to see your favorite win.

With AJ, from about the time his NWA title feud with Raven was over, the in-ring 'chops' to carry TNA were there; only problem was that the promo wasn't. It took all the way through his work with Christian and Angle, for him to get comfortable promoing, and once that was done, the re-push of AJ began

JOE, for all the talk on here of him supposing to be in the main event of BFG 2006 and taking the belt from Jarrett, was still the definition of a 'mastodan', getting the meteoric monster push only to have it fizzle out with the first defeat.
JOE gets the belt from Jarrett in October 2006, and he'd probably drop the belt back to Jarrett before the year 2006 was out. In case people forgot, that was how the "Planet Jarrett" faze of TNA was going. Nothing new.

Angle vs AJ already happened 47 times in gimik matches within 3 months, i think they actualy had more matches than impacts. So that is a ridiculous storyline and won't draw. AJ hasn't mentioned sting or his win, forgets he beat angle more than angle beat him in their 57 collisions and has looked weaker and weaker as the months go on. Hyperbole isn't really healthy in any debate.
The fact of the matter is that AJ vs Angle is a story that TNA has been telling for near two years now, and they have clashed on many occasions.
Whenever Angle and AJ have crossed paths, similar to New Japan's feud with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shinsuke Nakamura, it has been at times that have made sense in their story. Whether it be a mistaken slight, chasing the belt, or MEM/Frontline, it makes sense when they cross.

In a spoof wedding on Impact, the pastor, that was brought in, made a mistake and 'married' AJ and Karen Angle. AJ and Karen played it for laughs, complete with a mock honeymoon, where no one even tried to see it as being serious, and Kurt flipped out.
Goofy heel AJ Styles was attacked by Kurt, and the AJ Styles, that everyone new and loved, returned to get revenge on Kurt, for beating him down.

AJ/Angle, 'over Karen Angle', only happened because of a misunderstanding, on Angle's part, that ended up blowing out of proportion.
If you actually watched the story progress, you would've seen that Karen actually had little to do with the actual feud, but then again it appears, when it comes to TNA, the facts don't matter to you.

tslay i am very excited about this show as I will finally get to see jack evans live i just cant wait for the experience. I was at ladder war 2 and it was amazing I have been to every RoH show since final battle 2008

i dont think this is a very important development. i think they might get 200 buys. think about it tna gets about 8000 what chance does roh have? tna is the better promotion so yeahhhh.

8000? where did you get that number? ROH got more for the PPVs than that there bigest PPV had about 15,000

Why would you think that? FB has always been there biggest event of the year..GBH usualy has more DREAM matches becouse they can bring in talent from Japan easier then.

How would ROH not be on their roster when both companies have been raiding them for their talent? And this isn't a new thing, WWE and TNA have been raiding ROH for their talent since about 2003.

I wouldn't mind a Sheamus push if he was graudally built up, similar to the way Orton, Cena or Batista was. It's like they just had an opiphany and decided to slam us with Sheamus and Kofi. Who am I to complain? I mean, yay, I'm happy. But come on. Same problem in TNA.
