  • @hotshell its at kingspark blvd and e 4th st. Its only a mile or so away from my parents house, it is creepy inside.

  • Hey guys! so I'm a photographer and I love taking pictures of old decay buildings. I've been trying to find where Kins Park Psychiatric center is located, but I can't seem to fin it. Please if anyone could tell me the exact address or how I can get there I would really appreciate it

    thank you!

  • Check out "Turning 15 In The Loony Bin" on Youtube

  • ive went there 20 times already but the last time i went 3 weeks ago i found an old ass straight jacket and put it on and my frinds recorded it i said put me in the body box u know the place they put u for isolation and they put the camera on the table faceing my box yo i was yelling to let me out they didnt even hear on the camera u see a hand holing the lever with no body so before u say its fake go along with the sick routines they did see if shit happens

  • i live here, its not scary. it closed down because we didn't need it anymore. i'm in there all the time w/ my friends and can see building 7 from my room right now.

  • Will I know the place well and all I can say is that I prey for the workers doctors and staff that treated the people wrong there.I first hand have seen the results of there shock treatments over medicating and I'll treatments that was done under the cover of darkness people this type of thing goes on even till today so I do prey for those workers and there families that GOD have mercy on there souls for the things that they have done....PS....some workers and staff were nice.

  • This is the type of structure where the souls of those who occupied it in life tend to linger forever. Specially if their death was untimely or violent. I wouldn't be surprised if they have ghost apparitions if they ever re-occupy it or build a new structure.

  • Most of the buildings really werent so scary or terrible in its heyday. Just a bunch of crazy folks walkin around making no sense and talking jiberish mostly. It was nearly comical if wasn't kind of sad. Only the criminally insane wards and underground tunnels were scary.

  • @LYNXVAL - Yes, but these days they are all in Washington DC

  • Pychatric Hospitals back then were huge! Alot of People in state wards!

  • @LYNXVAL And yet they were still over crowded! =/

  • I've been here, I live on LI and just to stand in front of it gave me shrivels and chills. I went with my husband and my autistic son, and had to leave quickly....something felt wrong.

  • @MsAnthropy i live 5 mins away, im used to it, doesnt scare me

  • sanders I know it's kinda wussy, but I have scars on my hands and have too many bruises to count. It's not about being a scaredy cat, but about feeling something that is really creepy and overwhelms you.

  • It makes us think about how good we have it in our lives, and how we could be living in darkness at this place, Bless everyone who left there

  • i want to go so bad, before it gets demolished

  • dont worry, it'll never get demolished, i live in the town and theyre not gonna destroy it

  • Can't imagine being Locked away forever in this or any place like it! SAd!

  • And the people who are pussys who stay in such places are cowards

  • Dude.. it's ok man. It was twenty years ago. The nightmares will end. I promise. Someday.

  • I escaped from fairmount phychiatric center. Where a indian docter said he was going to use his son for the diagnosis in 85. I escaped from pilgim in 86 at the time they still used straight jackets,it leed to homelessness I spent my whole youth dating girls in rock clubs before this time.I escaped from kings park in 87,

  • I bet it's haunted. I'd love to go inside a building like that and see what it's like.

  • mr lita. i met a omh security officer at pigrilm a few months ago he was tall had long hair wore sunglasses and was about 45 he says he knows u crazy dave and a lot of other ue's i was wondering if u know who i am talking about

  • How could that chick have been there, when they closed in the 70s, and she looked no older than 30?

  • The place closed in 1996. Erica, tha patient, was 18 years old and in ward 218, building 22. She was there when they had the patients shuffled into busses and move to Pilgrim Psychiatric Center.

  • i live there it fun to see but they close it during sunset bums live in there

  • My great grandmother was put in this hospital and they gave her electro-shock therapy because she was an italian woman. Very sad story how she got there and everytime I am in Smithtown and we drive to ST. Johnland's nuring home to visit my grandma, I get the chills looking up at this place.

  • how horrible for your grandmother, I really feel for her.

  • Why would they do something like that? How did she end up in it?

  • Am from KP. There was at least one murder in bldg 93 when I was a kid. A patient used a metal chair to kill an aide. It was very traumatic for KP as we were a tight group ot mostly immigrant families.

  • my hometown, used to sneak into building 93 through the tunnels. the view from the balconies were amazing

  • Interesting

  • They are all so huge and intimidating.... Some were torture chambers at one time - it wasn't until many many many years later that these "hospitals" became hospitable

  • What kind of torture?

  • Psychiatric hospitals always look like Nazi concentration camps.

  • Menef79, that's because most of them are. Until youve been commited, you can never understand the pain. People try to say "oh it's neccesary" or "oh it's for their best interests". Bullshit. 100% bullshit.

mental and emotional torture that sometimes you never recover from. It aggrevates mental disorders. Patients are treated like prisoners for the most part and are made to question their santity. Mental hospitals are one of the most evil inventions on the planet. No wonder so many are haunted.

  • this is very good i love abandond hospitals... esspecially Danvers IA

  • cool video i love it

  • amazing location!
