I have a Border Collie and a Ragdoll kitten and they play together and my dog which is so much bigger than my kitten plays with her and has NEVER hurt her, just so people know. For those people who love kittens, look up Ragdolls, they're the cutest breed ever :3.
I have two cats who used to fight our dog who was a shi tzu. She would always roll over like that, but dogs are pretty smart when they play, and even if they're doing their "submissive" pose, it doesn't mean their going to stop fighting. Dogs lie like children lie. :P
Also, my dog liked chewing on my cats' ears. I miss her very much, because now neither of my cats play with each other.
The puppy did yelp around :20 into the video but the cat corrected it's self. They were just playing. The cat was using it's claws to grab hold of the puppy not to harm it. They tend to do that...
the puppy was not being hurt if it was it would've been yelping but it never made a sound neither did the cat lol i thought it was cute. our cats r always messing with eachother & sometimes u'd swear they were killing eachother but they're not lol
Cats never use their claws unless they feel like its necessary. If the use them, then usually, you deserved it. Treat your cat with respect, they need respect just like dogs, because they are in a way more intelligent than a dog. Yes...you can teach your dog to shake hands of catch balls....but can you teach your dog to play hide and seek with you? Cats are often looked at as stupid...they're not. They're just lazy and dont like being told what to do.

They playing together are much rougher with each other and the cat normally wins. Not one cut, or bite in over 7 years. If he was rly hurt he would have ran and hide.

I own both a Shih Tzu and a Persian for over 7 years and to be honest, I wouldn't let such a heavy cat pounce on a puppy Shih Tzu. The Shih Tzu needs to be at a better weight to properly handle the cat.

As an owner of both cats and dogs for years, I can assure you that cats do NOT use their claws in a way meant to cause injury unless you are irritating them (playing too much, too rough, longer than they want, etc.) or giving them reason to defend themselves (pulling hair, tail, etc). They can be quite playful like this cat in this video.

You people are dumb, they're clearly playing, I've always owned cats and dogs and I know what playing is and what fighting is. my cats do the same thing to each other all the time, they play roughly because guess what... they're ANIMALS :) they exert dominance physically and it is seriously rare for any animal to get hurt during play. animals have their own signals when conflict is real - cats' ears flatten and their growl in a rumbling way, this cat is clearly just playing and the puppy isn't getting hurt at all. they are playing as any two domesticated animals of about the same size would.
Whether the dudes standing their filming or not they're going to play... both animals are hunters and play to practice their skills. But, the size of that cat vs a lone dog... if it really was attacking it the dog would've been all torn up within seconds and making a lot more noise.

All the cats I know certainly don't just go an attack something unless it's giving them a damn good reason to. Like if my dog goes and keeps pestering my cat, my cat'll scratch him to tell him to piss off. But my cat won't seek out my dog to attack him...

You people are dumb, they're clearly playing, I've always owned cats and dogs and I know what playing is and what fighting is. If the puppy was hurt it would have cowered away or tired to hide, he clearly was playing since he ran after the cat, not to mention if the cat was fighting his tail would be waving back and forth viciously, also his ears would be back and he'd be growling and hissing not to mention screaming.
Think! or at least research habit's if you don't know for sure.

my cats do the same thing to each other all the time, they play roughly because guess what... they're ANIMALS :) they exert dominance physically and it is seriously rare for any animal to get hurt during play. animals have their own signals when conflict is real - cats' ears flatten and their growl in a rumbling way, this cat is clearly just playing and the puppy isn't getting hurt at all. they are playing as any two domesticated animals of about the same size would.

Whether the dudes standing their filming or not they're going to play... both animals are hunters and play to practice their skills. But, the size of that cat vs a lone dog... if it really was attacking it the dog would've been all torn up within seconds and making a lot more noise.

They are just playing you twats. Cats do not just openly attack other animals. If that cat wanted to attack that puppy it would've been for damn good reason. Also, the cat's fur was not bushed up, neither was it hissing. The puppy didn't yelp or whine which means IT WASN'T HURT.

@Rahnt cats do openly attack all the time, almost any cat will attack anything that in its "home" , but that is not the case in this video, the cat would be hissing and its tail would be poofy, the cats just playing a little ruff for a puppy

@pussywran That's what I was trying to get across to the others, it wasn't attacking the dog. All the cats I know certainly don't just go an attack something unless it's giving them a damn good reason to. Like if my dog goes and keeps pestering my cat, my cat'll scratch him to tell him to piss off. But my cat won't seek out my dog to attack him...
