  • NO !!! :(

  • Does she have to do this to bathe as well? What happens if it gets wet?

  • I am so glad to hear it was helpful!! I think CI's are so incredible and being able to use them swimming has improved my daughter's quality of life even more!! Where are you located? We are in San Francisco, CA area. Good luck!!!

  • Thanks! and just so you know....I've told everyone I know who has kids with CI's about this. No one has heard of it but they are all so excited!!! You and your daughter have made an impact for so many!! :)

  • Oh, that is great news, I am so happy for you!! Regarding the batteries, you need to use rechargeable batteries, The disposables need air to work. Sorry I forgot to mention that! Good luck and enjoy!! (Just remember to seal that little bag well :)

  • So, we did it! Nettie swam with her CI's and her smile was priceless. But now inhave another question... Imwhen we take all the air out of the bags, the batteries die within 30 minutes. When we figured that out and left a little air in the bag, they didn't die. However, it made the bag a bit more bulky and difficult to get on. Do you guys have this same issue with the batteries?

  • so excited to see this! My daughter absolutely loves swimming and it can get a bit stressful without her being able to hear me. Can you tell me what type of bag that is. And from my observation, you basically use this waterproof bag and the hat to hold it on???? thanks for any help you can offer.....

  • Hi, the bag is Aloksak. Buy the 4x5 in. ones. Put the implant in, seal the zip lock seal well, fold it in half, have your daughter hold the magnet in place while you pull a swim hat over top. I often use Nammu Hats which are stretchy lycra and you can tie tight, plus they are cute. Swim caps are tighter and work well, but hard to get use to getting them on. cicircle.org is a great resource too.

    Good luck!!!
