phone is not as great as advertised. I regret getin this phone, is as good as an iPhone3g minus a scratchable screen. Hmmm why is it that weather a screen scratches easily is not a main point ?

got this phone for $20 with a manufacturer coupon and rightly so.

phone heats up way to easy even when its not being charged...wich gets really hot and needs to b charged daily.

is kida fast, glad it has wifi, syncronization not good enough, and button plus swipe to unlock sucks. IMHO

Don't ever buy an acer their warranty repair center in Texas will make crap up to get as much money from you as possible, I recently sent out my Aspire One for repairs and they told me that moisture residue was found and wanted money from me for repairs, when i never spilled anything on it case 1-677z71b

For everyone saying apple own the rights to multi touch. WRONG! many phones already use multi touch(htc hero, htc hd2, samsung omnia 2) applie have no control over multi touch, although they have tried to.

i am getting this for sure. Wasnt impessed with the Hero at all but love Android it was more hardware but this looks like the biz. Even though i have already got my eye on HTC Dragon/Passion. 4.3 inches of Android goodness with sense ui and snapdragon. Sounds pretty gd to me!

omg, this made me wonna fix it, so i googled the problem and its because of dust. All i did was open up the back where the fan is, took off the fan and there was half a cm strip of dust right there. brushed it off and it doesnt overheat anymore!!!!

sounds complicated but it really isnt. make sure u take out the battery first, dont wonna electricute yourself

Yes it must be the applications drawer. I want to call it from any app and not just from the home screen.

For example i'm in messaging app then I face a word that requires a calculator or dictionary. if that drawer is available then I can immediately open it and choose calculator or dictionary. After I close say the calculator then i'm immediately back to the messaging app without the need to call the task switcher.

do yourself a favour nd ditch the Iphone for either this or the upcoming SE XPERIA 3 Running on Android with an 8MP with a flash. Plus the v2.0 firmware for Android is almost here with 1.6 eclair just released, either get that or wait for the HTC Dragon with another 8p snapper. Iphone? Pah, obsolete in comparison to the Maemo and Android OS's.

Do you think Xperia's X3 Rachel by SE will debut this year with Android 2.0 or mid January? Somehow SE tends to always screw up something in their smartphone lineup: X2 got it just right (best in Java VM of ANY device on the market). Looks great, functionality is decent, cpu is comparable but I fear as an WM device it'll be lack lustre in sales. I'd prefer this Liquid over SE's X3.

The Iphone is a flawed product in many areas and it's OS is looking dated in comparison Android and Maemo. The resolution is looking extremely dated next to devices such as the XPERIA X3/HTC HD2 and N900 and is starting to show it's age. If Apple don't refresh the Iphone for 2010, winmo7, Maemo 6 and Android 2.0 will rape them. It's the iphone which needs to catch up

You're assuming on X3; no specs are official just rumors. HD2 - not everyone wants a huge WM device in their hands - HD poor sales proved this. Without great accessories, an ecosystem of them or online music/video/podcasting/learnin­g videos supported by a large industry & even universities all will still struggle to keep up with iPhone's exponential sales the past 4qtrs in the USA. Around the world its picking up steam too. We'll see how well its done on Monday afternoon's conference call.

yeah ... same here. Acer Liquid looks sweet!! the benefits of Contacts merging is a bonus - almost Kryptonian, but I'll have an annoyance moving music, videos, creating playlists all over again for it. I hated this on my E71 & N85. Lets hope its media capabilities are top notch. Acer released other powerful WM devices with exceptional specs before - they ALL sucked the big one! Let's hope this gets it right. iPhone I think will evolve next summer for multi-tasking.
