Maxpedition Colossus Versipack Review

Great video! Looks like you guys had some fun beautiful, clear water. Nice gear, I really like Maxpedition Gear. I have been using the FatBoy Veripack, works great for an EDC / Camera bag.

Great review man. I got my condor II about three weeks ago with Maxpedition's canteen cover and 4.5 phone holder. Lovin it. Went hiking on the olympic peninsula with a buddy. Great trip. Love Deep lake! Looks like you guys had a blast. Probly headng over there in about a week or two hopefully to do some relaxing. Take care man. -Jason

Thank you for this review, I have been waiting for a recent review for this, i really want to get it. I have a quick question tho, did you like the color you got, the website says its acu-compatible but it looks like different colors then the grey, coyote tan, foliage colors of the acu, and the only thing keeping me from buying this is what color too get, im between this color and o.d.

and your 1911 is sexy sir.

@RaziMob It is very close to ACU, but I would say it is slightly darker than ACU.. But very very close.. I'm really happy with the Colossus and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good Versipack. Thanks for watching

im not being rude or anything but why would you carry a gun if you are going to a lake...for animals or people?

@themedicintraining I always carry a gun. You never know what you'll run into. In this area, there are a ton of rattlesnakes, cougars, coyotes, and even a few bear. As far as people, there are all kinds of drunks and loud mouths that are trying to show off for their friends. Luckily, none of them were there today.

LOL! I'm guessing that Alcohol and Cliffs generally don't mix! I like that Falcon 2 in orange! I don't know why but the neon colors seem to be making a comeback. I've become a real fan of safety orange lately.

Great Vid.

I noticed your M1 had a fair bit of movement on your pack. I have been using the Blackhawk Speedclips for attaching pouches with PALS and I am really impressed. They are SO fast to attach and once they are on your pouches are locked down nice and tight.

Anyway, thx for the vids. That water looked so good, wish I was there cliff jumping right now.

@troy5690 The M1 was pretty loose.. I don't use the TacTies the way they were meant, because I'm always changing my bags and pouches.. Yeah, the water was super nice that day.. You could see all kinds of Brown and Rainbow Trout in the water from up top

Another great vid Trevor! Even a "cheapo" FAK is better than no FAK ;) I always tell that to my brother who says he doesnt have hundreds to dump on a EDC or BOB kit. Even with one trip to Walmart, you can build a serviceable kit.

The only thing that the colossus could use in my opinion is a waist strap like the Jumbo Versipack.

@lordmonfort I agree with all your statements my friend.. I don't like to carry my big FAK on day hikes like that, especially when we are so close to the truck.. And yeah, a waiststrap would be really nice on the Colossus
