Actually the league is much different to the struggling NSL. By implementing a one team per city system the FFA have erased the racial divsions between teams. Not to mention the financial stability of the league compared to the nsl.

As an Aussie I certainly know the EPL has better quality players. But seriously, what do you expect us to do with a 1.8 Mil salary cap! Australia is good at tons of sports, we're Cricket champs, the Footie team is doin great, Rugby team is still one of the best, plus many other sports. So don't tell me the A-League is crap, i would much rather go see my home city team Melbourne win in an astounding final 6-0, than watch a boring 1-0 FA cup final in England.
