  • Do you know how to open the remote to change the batteries? I've been struggling with it for days :'(

  • @allisonZ35

I hope by now you've changed your batteries :)

  • You know when you get home from a long day of work and you haven't even taken your coat off yet and your woman starts yappin' at you non-stop? This chick reminds me of that.

  • i love it how she is so modest when she says "so for about a thousand you can decorat your whol house". I pay £20 max for a light nor 130 ish

  • automatic random colour switching is avaliable?

  • @Kaszi46 Of course. Just go around in a full circle on the color disc on the remote and then hit the "on" button above it. To go back to normal repeat the same thing but then just hit "off" instead. You can also change the speed at which the change happens by tapping on the ring. Blue is very fast and purple is very slow, and the rest are speeds in between.

  • yes yes you bitch

  • i got one, you can change your entire house colour, she is chatting shit, probably if you buy 20 of them yes you can in that case.

  • well thats pretty much what she said

  • I think she means you can control a group of them with the one remote is all.

  • oh mate u so right. almost everything i got from phillips sucks. especially my headphones... the only thing which is OK is my tv. but i think phillips makin so much crap

  • you work for samsung?..

  • How did you hang them?

  • @metallares Exactly my question! I want to hang them up as well.. above my desk. It's so nice, i tried it. But how do you hang them? :(

  • Figa se sei brutta....nasconditi mostro.

  • Remote control just stopped working after not even 1 year in use. I tried it all. Change batteries (damn hard to open remote c), shut down wifi, nothing. Pretty bad as apparently often a quality problem.

  • so your under warrenty then yeah? send it back, get another one?..

  • I can't change the battery. I slide the switch on the back of the remote and the remote does not pop apart, no matter how hard I press and it doesn't slide apart either. Very frustrating.

  • lol

  • These would sell even better if they made an outdoor one for the side of houses or even uplit trees..

  • I wanted to have one, but the remote doesn't work when it's being disturbed by Wireless Internet or Wireless Television.

    So no colour-bulb for me.

  • Ive just ordered mine. You can change the radio frequency if it is interfering. Go on, you know you want to.

  • I've had absolutely no problem with mine... I've had it for a year now and I've got both wireless tv/streamium and wifi internet... So I don't think that should be a problem..

  • I've been looking around for this lamp, and I've come across several different names..

    Living Colors

    Living Colors Crystal

    Living Colors Crystal Clear

They are all three the same, correct? Because on Philips site there's only Living Colors, Living Colors black and mini. The price varies quite a lot, so I'm not sure if they have like, made new ones that are weaker, thus cheaper..?

    Anyone know?

  • You've got the normal transparent one with the remote... and the black is the same, but that one is not transparent, but guess what... It's black glass xD

And the mini range are, the smaller versions (not in glass but in some kind of plastic), these are without remote control, the color pas is on the lamp itself)

I would recommend you the normal ones, because I really think the remote control is very sweet + they look better :)

    grtz

  • More showing of the actual product(not only remote) and less talky talk plx

  • please shut up :)

  • What is the electricity consumption during operation? Does it has a standby energy consumption?

  • 4 little LEDs, 3 watt each

  • what about the AC/DC conversion losses?

  • LED's....... ehm do you even know what LED's are? wonder why you get rated thumbs down with that question..... :O FFS

  • I know what LED's are ^^ lol....well it could be that the ones the the livings colors are bad quality or something....nvm..i bought one..the the effect is way not so goood....so i retrieved it lol and bought some games =)

  • can you have all the lights be synced together so that you can change to colors of multiple lamps with one remote?

  • yes you can link them to one remote control and get them to display the same color, unfortunately if you want to have one color per lamp you still have to use multiples RC.

  • could anyone tell me how to set it to change the colours automatically?

    cant figure it out!!

  • ooooooooo it changes colour with a remote, FUKIING AMAZING, I've seen colour like that before . OMG this isnt gonna get boring at all. Oh and dont forget it shouldnt waste too much electricity as well. The perfect xmas present!!!

  • I need to hang it from the ceiling, how can i do?

  • I had the same problem, and it turned out to be a defective remote. Once the remote was changed, it was fine.

  • can i ask, how far away from a wall can you put it where it will still have an effect? thanks

  • About 1 meters max (for the best effect that is). Make no mistake about it, if you toggle the intensity to full and your room has `dimmed lights` it will make the neighbors go `Hmmm` :)

  • thanks

  • From what I can tell, with saturated red, about 12 feet and saturated blue is about 8 feet.

  • thanks

  • Hello I have bought one of these lamps on ebay. as soon as connected to the current electrical worker it executes self the test, but then I do not succeed to ignite it from the remote control. it must make some operation particular in order to connect the remote control to the lamp? Some hidden key? Aid I hope is not out of order

  • Just change the batteries and it will work.

    Jo

  • the complete spectrum of the lamp is best seen if you illuminate a white wall with it instead of hanging it from the ceiling, which this lamp isnt made for.

  • that women seems pretty dumb, at least she's annoying for sure, if i were you shiny media i'd check again the animator, she simply sucks at it.

"I should say it's a bit green at the moment, AND NOW it's a bit purple AND NOW it's a bit blue"...wow flagged that video.

  • I have this lamp for some time now and must say it has surprised me! It's not just a toy lamp you can compare to coloured bulbs. The experience is of a entirely other kind. This lamp i can exactly finetune to my mood or use it to get me in a certain mood. It acts like a sort of an instant controlable psych tool. It has done remarkable wonders for some of my depressive moods! Only setback is it's prize, 150 euros. If they do get cheaper i'll buy a second one for sure.

  • With all the examples i have seen of this light they have it set so that the colour keeps changing every few minutes. Can you also set it up so that it is just one constant colour all the time?

  • sadly, that is the only realy good working function ^^.

The colorchange-mode is very fast. Its like the full spectrum in 10 seconds. You can not ajust the speed. But if you pick a color it stays exactly that one.

All the changing you see is done manualy with the remote. Was a little disapointed :\

  • I don't have one.

I can by four of five coloured bulbs for two lamps for 1/20 the cost.

Oh wow, you mean they make coloured bulbs????

Consumer lemmings buying the next shiny thing to store in the garage for a few years before the inevatible garage sale.

  • if people have money and they want to spend it.. let them

  • you have to learn how make a movie for the web :-) dont update a not entrelased movie please

  • Anyone knows if it's possible to purchase it on the internet? It is ofcause preferede if the shop is selling to every country in Europe.

    In advance thanks for helping!

  • I bought the lamp this weekend. It's really great and especially nice if you have light or white walls and want to change the colour of the walls to suit your mood, or for example give it a festive colour for a party!!

  • How cool is that! :-)

  • It's a wonderful lamp, and definetely worth more than 30 euro's! I've bought it for 114, got some discount! I't great and really fun to change my room colour all the time!

  • So if you buy 5 of these thing, do you end up with 5 remotes 8)7

  • hehe, figuring out what remote belongs to what light :)

  • Nope, you can programme one remote for a group of lights.

  • actually, you can. look at the spesifications for this on the philips website.

  • 30 euro's is all i gonna spend on one light

  • €149

  • Lets make things better

  • That's really nice, but isn't this more showing us how it works rather than a review? I am missing your opinion on the device?

  • Brilliant, I'm buy that, and the wake up light alarm clock thing

  • interesting, but not worth the money

  • nice
