Great playing man... The walkdown in the chorus chords sounds a bit off to my ears I could be wrong but hear my version for the idea I'm getting at! Superb improv though... Keep rockin \m/
@flashbackcovers Thanks for the complement. I Improvised and slightly altered parts of the riff, If you watch alot of hendrix's live versions he'll usually do this too, thats where I got it from. The only mistake that I may have made is being slightly of time at some parts, however this is due to the lack of a backing track or a drum beat to keep me in time while improving. I may eventually upload a shorter version with a backing track as I was never satisfied with this cover.
dude insane! the only advice i have is in the begining, play the intro riff clean and with the wah, instead of distorted. but idk cause the man himself said he always wanted ppl to play his music their own way.lol but ya AWESOME:)
@saadmemon90 Stock, a lot of the tones i get are to do with the tubescreamer pedal and my unsual way of finger picking, which is tonally somewhat modelled on stevie ray vaughan, although stevie would use his pick on the blunt side while simultaneously hitting with the edge of his thumb or index finger, but i try to do what can with my fingers alone because i hate using a pick and my style gives me individuality as a guitar player, even if it limits me in ways; it's a cache 22. hope that helps :)
@MrHendrix06 i bought it for £850 (998.67 EURO's or $1350 USD) including delivery off ebay.co.uk, it was a bargin, it would have cost £1200-1400 brand new. plus since it was made in the Corona CA foctory in 93, it could be worth quite abit more due to collectability.
@flyboy959 Thanks man, it's easier than it looks, don't be afraid to try fingerpicking out, its just putting up with a few blisters for a month and a than lifetime of benifits
@Mrjamesanonymous i agree, it's much easier than people make it out to be...and i like the almost slap-like sound it makes. and it makes pinch harmonics worlds easier believe it or not.
great cover! you should download a backing track to play along with though because some of it is a little off beat.
check out my cover if you like! though if you do i suggest using headphones because my laptop mic sucks.
i like your tone by the way; what gear do you use?
@Mrjamesanonymous also, i find that it makes the opening part sound cleaner if you mute the strings a little lower so that way the harmonics don't come through so much. i usually do it lower than the 5th fret but that's just my personal preference...improvisation is all about doing it how you want =)
Awesome pickless attack!!
