I also found that the comet is kinda hard to start, after a roll sometimes it dosent run, when you get off cover. Its nice but like you said, not in ranked.

I really hope they don't open up the Savage Grenadier Elite. I like using him because he is so rare, in addition to looking awesome. However, with the Savage Kantus opened up like it is, it probably will be. Makes me sad.

i didnt like the mutator either, i played two games of KOTH(one quickmatch then another ranked, pissed it was in ranked too) then i went to play Skyrim. but as of last night (thursday) the mutator is off and its regular ranked KOTH

I'm impressed you didn't run into any chainsaws. The two games I attempted to play during this time really ruined my gears experience. The game turned into a Sawed-off and Lancer Chainsaw mess. Not to mention that nobody even attempted to play the objective anymore because there was no point. Very frustrating IMO. Glad to know I'm not the only one that felt this way.

Its fun in horde, but I totally agree with you. Epic should NEVER modify the standard game types. I can't play koth like this, it needs to go away and never come back. Like you said, needs to be a separate play list, we shouldn't be forced to play this way

You can play the game. Trueskill existed from the beginning, even when the Xbox 360 launched in November '05! i quite welcome the Re-Up tier ranking.

I've been plain tdm, arctic whats ur game plan for ranked king when ur up against a party of five and ur by yourself. And its a good party, when its me my team leaves and we get whooped and it really turns me off to ranked because of the party's of five u bad mouth quick match given there are a lot of suckkey guys in it but not all 2000 players suck in it and when i play ranked its not that those guys in the party are better than me its that they have a set up and team fire u know what thats ilk

@xHotHouseFlower I have different approaches depending on the map. Some map I run grenades, other maps I focus on singling out certain players, and occasionally I try to do it all. The biggest thing I try to do when I'm by myself is to provide opportunities for the other people on my team to get kills, capture hills, and win the game.

Pretty much agree. I thought it was fun for a few matches but then found it obnoxious. It wasn't even the sound for me...just how people were abusing it. Most KOTH matches simply turned into Chainsaw orgies. I'm so close to getting my wings though, and there seems to be an xp buff...so I've kind of played anyways since the xp you could get in KOTH was ridiculous.

i also ran into a comet/sawed off combo'er yesterday and it is the most aggravating thing ever when the player is smart enough to keep cometing and never capping the hill. if they do tend to stay in an area or try to cap, the comet is the best way to clear the sawed off'ers out

i hated the comet at first, then learned how to counter it (comet back at comet'ers ) and deal with it. after i got the hang of it, after like 3 games, i did great but it is starting to feel like it is overstaying its welcome now.

on koth i end up running back and forth a couple times breaking the hill and killing as many ppl as i can then gnasher who evers left and hold the hill for as long as possible and when i get pushed out buy like 2 or more ppl i rinse and repeat.

I got the SGE, but I rarely use him, same with Adam Fenix. I prefer to keep it old school with hammerburst, gnasher and gears 1 characters.
