  • this position of hand is of chello

  • I played this for my family and my dog started singing with it

  • cant even see his fingers!!!

  • not helpful at all .

  • look at his wrist and bow arm: totally stiff and locked. since his whole bow arm is all stiff and like a robot, that's why his tone quality is so cold, distorted, and weak. also he's very out of tune, just listen how flat the A is at 1:50, very weak vibrato as well. just cause this guy is old doesn't mean he is even half-way decent good at violin, nor does he know what he's talking about. twinkle twinkle is intricate? dont make me laugh. what about kreutzer, schradiek, and suzuki teaching books?

  • @OurenV2 One of the first things suzuki teaches you is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and it's variations..lol

  • I bought a violin from ebay, did not read a book, did not watch a video and tried to play this piece by finding the notes on trial and error. I noticed that I can play it on different keys. It strikes me odd and even my son who is very well gifted musician told me that it somehow sounding not right because of the key im playing it in when he caught me playing it. Thank you for this video, I thought I was doing it wrong but actually I was right- you can play this on different keys.

  • Wow. Thank you. You've really brought this tune alive for me. I never thought of trying it in other keys and positions. It just goes to show that in the hands of a master violinist a simple piece can be transformed into a master piece. Even the great late Mozart would have not expected that such a relatively unimportant piece in his portfolio could transcend to these heights. Amazing, aweinspiring, astounding. Humbling. Thank you, you have enriched and broadened my musical experience deeply, not

  • I saw that fail slide with your pinky at 2:45. Work on your shifting dude lol. Oh and 0:35 the B or second finger was too sharp.

  • @kapoopoof shut up he is probably more proffesional than you. and wow his shifting was not that good that one time. one mistake

  • puedes ponerlo en español please?

    gracias.

  • wow

  • it sounds flat to me in some parts....

  • Mannn duuuude, you needa get yourself a better quality camera or close up on your hands (not like we're gonna be missin' out on a Taylor Lautner face). Haha jusssst saying, cause I can't see where you're putting your fingers and whatnot.

  • fail quality...

  • he's a beginner himself ha

  • You people are way too critical. probably why your not very good. Smeller is the feller

  • since this video is geared toward the

    absolute begginer you might wanna

show the fingerpositions in relation to eachother. a little frustrating

  • @garnetghost Amen to that one!

  • This is not very helpful... But thank you for doing that but its no very helpful.. Well i mean We cant see were your fingers is going um well maybe its a little helpful.....

  • nothing special...

  • Yopu have made some points. "Twinkle twinkle is a dangerous tune altogether !

Maybe it was what I missed-out 30 years ago, because I'm still merely a tolerable (Ihope) mess. Thank you !

  • I am gunew?

  • omg... He is concentrating so hard! :L:L:L

  • You're killing me

  • erm it could be much better=]

  • this is not very helpful... i mean we cant even see ur finger placements..

    G,G F,F E,E D

hope that helped u guy who wanted to play this song in viola :)

  • I think all those F´s should be F sharps (F#) since it´s in D major, but it´s correct otherwise.

  • I learned this song as; 'altijd is kortjakje ziek' because that's the dutch version.

altijd is kortjakje ziek midden in de week maar zondags niet. zondags gaat hij naar de kerk met een boek vol zilver werk...

    ---

always is korjakje ill in the middle of the week but not on sunday. on sunday he goes to the church with a book full of silver...

    and so on.

  • im the same person

  • that's not impressive at all.

    Sorry to burst your bubble.

  • your cooold!!!!!

  • It's not what you play, it's how you play it! Am I right?

  • yes

  • @PositivelyHappy you r so right it has to deal with what is in your heart not sheet music and not following every note but it is what it means to u not to other people sure u can play for other people but i try to play for my heart! <3
